Hi all,
I just ordered the mi 9t pro, and i wondet what is the best rom for it. The EEA or global rom?
I live in France
Thank you
Miui.eu for anyone in the world. It cuts out all of the bloat and a lot of Chinese specific apps as well as adverts.

It's not obvious if you're asking the difference between official MIUI and xiaomi.eu, or wanting the answer to the original question, so I'll answer both.
If you plan on sticking with stock MIUI, then stay with EEA, if you buy a European phone. There is no noticeable difference between global and EEA, so best and easiest to stick with the original ROM of the phone.
Xiaomi.eu ROMs are a custom ROM based on Chinese MIUI. They take the stock ROM and remove all bloatware and Chinese specific apps and anything that is not needed and safe to remove. They add dozens of language translations, to make it global, then add a few of their own tweaks and customisations.
They have been around doing this for almost as long as MIUI has existed, so they certainly know what they're doing.
I will have a global version rom, do you think it's good idea to flash the EEA rom?

If it's a global phone stick with the global ROM. If it's a European phone stick with EEA.
Hello everyone,
Searched the forums and could not find a definitive info regarding this, apologize in advance if i missed it.
I'm soon to receive my mi 11 ultra china version.
Alltough the bands used by all the carriers in my country are all supported, i've read somewhere on the mi 11 forum that the modem settings for china are different from the global/eu rom ( at least for the mi 11 ).
Wanted to know if i flash the original global/eea rom from xiaomi via the official tool, will i also get the modem configuration from the global/eea rom ? ( Just like the global mi 11 ultra )
Cheers !

i think you can BUT, don NOT lock the BL when you have a cn version running global or EEA.
As far as i know you can flash other versions as long as you keep BL unlocked, or it wil brick and you need EDL

You can unbrick now without edl iirc
There is a method on YouTube but I haven't needed to try it yet
When you down load the ZIP document with ROM every week, boot (kernel) & device ... Some instances it is also called modem or baseband (no idea what is the right ... I have Mi4w with miui7 ultimate international builders model.

If you mean the modem configuration like unlock needed bands it won't work.
I am not sure, but I guess it can be done. As far as I know, you can flash other versions after you keep the BL unlocked, I hope it works for you.
I'm on a china model in the US with the global rom installed...I would love to be able to use 5g. I would have to believe that if the hardware supports 5G and the modem software is preventing it there must be a way to get it to work.

This is an older thread but wondering (1) did the baseband change to global after flashing the global rom? (2) Did it then pick up the band 66 (IF broadcast by your carrier in your area...not necessarily everywhere) Thanks
edit...folks are imo incorrectly focused on 5g (getting 5g or not) as its deployment is very spotty. Further if you check via signal check lite or Lte discovery apps, you will see that even if the phone shows 5G in status bar (lots of folks say they 'get' 5g based on that) the actual band is an LTE band usually (this is even with Apple iphones-have tested them out both on Tmobile and AT&T in my area...the 5G is mostly bunk imo and just marketing). ANyway, I digress. Does the flashing of global rom change the baseband to the global baseband and is the phone then able to pick up LTE 66 IF broadcast in your area?
I was wondering if changing an already converted Chinese model from NE2215 to NE2213 is less risky than the initial conversion?
Any models I see are already on the Global ROM and I want it to be on the EU ROM, and was hoping there was an easy way to do it.
Can it be done with Oxygen Updater like with previous models and does anyone have any experience with this?
Does anyone have any idea if it's easier?
Think you have to try

Thanks for the link, I feel pretty confident in flashing it. I guess the people who bricked their phones, did not delete the cow files and that is what caused their phones to stop working. As long as I delete those files I should be fine. Thanks again for all the help.

Good to hear, enjoy your new phone.
I have a NE2210 (china) running on adroid 13 and can switch between changing it from NE2211 and NE2213 android 13 .
First you need Oxygen Updater ( download from google play store)
Now phone is already on android 13 (NE2213)
1 . Need to enable Advance mode in setting in Oxygen updater
2. Change update method ( stable full )
3. You can change Device to ( Oneplus 10 pro India or Oneplus 10 pro EU )
4. Go to download in Oxyen updater ( square box with arrow in it ) and download both newest update for android 13
5. Dont install ( you should have " fc76d5c19...etc for India and " 3e49e275c...etc for EU in root directory )
6. Now you need Android 13 APK updater installed your phone . ( google it and install it )
7. Once you have android 13 APK installed open it and go to setting ( top right )
8. It will take you to local upgrade and choose what file you want to install .
I tried this about 4 to five times to make sure it dose not mess up phone switching back and forth from NE2211 and NE2213
Next i want to try to install twrp on both slots do a backup of each ( NE2211 and NE2213 ) and try to install from backups .(Not sure if it will work)

Ok so now i have all newest updates for Android 13 . Saved in my Local Root directory . (download from Oxygen updater)
Now I can install anyone from Android 13 Updater APK . I wanted to try and find a safe and easy way to switch back and fourth Regions , cause my phone is actually NE2210 (china) and Live in Canada. I buy the china phones because i Like having 2 working sim cards. I have 2 oneplus 10 pro . One i dont Xuck with to much (everyday phone) and one I have killed so many times to test on.

When reading about this in the past, it was said that this conversion wouldn't actually change the radio from 2210 to global and enabling global bands. This is still the case, isn't it? I'm in the US and a TMobile user and the 2210 bands are sub optimal on T-Mobile in the US. Can anyone speak to their experience with the conversion and global band use?

According to this site, Bell and T-Mobile stateside actually use similar bands. You are missing band 66 on 5g and also 66 and 71 on 4g which are huge for me on TMobile.
