Wifi problem in my x8

Hi,
Need a help,
I'm using gingerdxv9 just re flash again.
when first time i using v9 there is no problem with wifi.
then i change the rom to cruzt 7.3 i have a problem with wifi
connection.
so i change back to v9. now i have the problem with my wifi.
the wifi is always scanning but did not connect to any wifi network or show
any network that available.
pls help what should i do.
I already do the full wipe.

Did you have "Remembered" any network?
If you did, try to forget all the remembered networks and then search again.

try to clear cache and dalvik cache in xrecovery

Wifi dying after a period of time.
I have a similar issue with my X8.
The Wifi works fine for a while (longest so far has been about a month) and then it just stops working. It picks up no signal what so ever from anywhere (my home router, which is about a metre away, is currently "Not in Range").
I've tried multiple versions of Android 2.2 from XDA and am now running 2.3 from the following link: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1109563
The only way i've found to bring back the Wifi is to do a FULL restore (system, data, cache, everything). I've done abt 6 restores since i started using custom ROM's about 4 months back and am in the situation where i have to do another one now. This is getting EXTREMELY irritating and I would very much appreciate it if someone could give me a solution for this.
Also, I have a lot of trouble connecting to the internet at my uni. This has been an issue from the very beginning on the X8, even before using custom ROMs. It connects the first time and then refuses to connect a second time. To connect again i have to forget the connection and start again. I don't know to describe the Wifi type but the instructions for connecting to it are in the following link http://uqconnect.net/helpdesk/wireless/eduroam/android/.

have this problem too. when i was on GDXv007 was fine then when it update to v008 i cant connect to wifi anymore.just keeps saying "obtaining ip addrees" then reboots. HEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEELLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPP!

Yes, this was helpful... But I have to Delete the networks I remembered, always?

[SOLVED] Data connection not working properly

Hello, I got an xperia z three weeks ago and it has always worked perfectly until yesterday: I'm experiencing strange mobile data connection issues. I can surf the web but if I disconnect and connect again, the connection may freeze: the H icon (or g or e..) appears and phone seems to transmit data as it shows an up arrow but the down arrow never appears and I can't surf the web. Toggling data and airplane mode may allow me to connect successfully but it's always pretty random..
I started thinking it was a software issue.. So i flashed The phone with the utility twice.. No success. Carrier issue? Nope: it's all ok and apn settings are ok as I can use them. Hardware issue? Perhaps as I found out that removing the SIM card and inserting it back in a certain way could make the difference (higher rate of successful connections).. So what do you think? Could be the SIM card (I got a new one in December though), the phone or something I did not consider? Sadly I can't test a different SIM now but as soon as I can find one, I will try. Thank you!

Does it happen while your using the device or when it's sleeping you turn device back on? I also have sort the same issue but with WiFi..

Ok.. I found out the cause.. It is the carrier.. They said itwas all ok but many are reporting my same issues in my country.. So not fixed yet but I can stop flashing my phone twice a day.

Flashed New RR custom ROM RR74 getting data connection issue after one day

Hi,
I just flashed RR74 and also the Xposed from the link given by syed hassan, everything seems to be worked fine but after a day facing issue in data connection issue, wifi also not auto connecting, data is also not connecting need to do work around for data connection. kindly help me to resolve this issue.

first check apn if you are from pakistan you have to add apn settings
Add APN settings according to your service provider..
Go to settings/sim cards/sim 1 or 2 settings access point names.add according to service provider and reboot..
You can get APN settings easily from google..
I forgot to add APN of our country..
if apn is added turn on data turn on airplane mod for few seconds and turn it off you wil get your data turned on
as concern wifi auto connectivity issue it has no issue like that:good:

I have tried the steps that you have mentioned, data is working for sometime but after sometime its getting disconnected, i once again turned ON/OFF airplane mode, net is available for few minutes then once again only outgoing is available no incoming signal is available in data. Any solutions for this issue? Which ROM your currently using, did you not face any issue? I made a clean install only. Any steps to resolve this issue.

one more thing my mobile data connects when roaming is enabled for data connection, i have followed the same steps that you have mentioned. Can the issue be because of roaming? I have enabled roaming switch also.

and placing my sim card from sim slot 2 to sim slot 1 solved the issue.
Now connection works as charm. Sometimes it goes down, turning on and off airplane mode takes care of it.

Data issue is fixed in new builds.

Please Help - Issue with HotSpot

Hi,
I can't get the Hot Spot to work on this phone. I enable the Hot Spot and setup all the requirements to activate it. The other phone or tablet connect to it but there is no internet going through. I try resetting the networks, APN, and anything that related to internet are all reset, but still not connection on any phone that connect to my.
Has anyone have the same issue on this phone?

I am having the same issue with my Redmi K20 Pro. Other devices can connect but no internet is sent through. There has to be a fix to this and all searches on the internet lead nowhere.

Try with a different sim card if you have it. Some operators don't allow tethering afaik.
To cancel out this possibility & the issue being a device specific one- try the same sim in a different phone & check if you're getting connectivity via hotspot

Idk just replicate my screenshot, I found it on a forum and it works for me

I try the dun added to apn but still not working in this phone. I know hotspt work on cricket network when I put it into my Sony ultra 2 phone.

Did it stick? If you come back to APN settings is it still there? If not you might have not saved the profile

The setting stick or was there after I added it, but still no working Hotspot. I know it the phone because it work fine on my other phone with no issue..

Can you post pictures of all your APN setting..I want to copy everything to make it the same. Also want firmware and muie are you on?

Cellular Connected but No Internet (17.0240.2007.27)

Hey everyone, I have been using the latest firmware of the ROG Phone 2 as they release from the Asus website, the latest firmware has been fine although suddenly the cellular data has stopped working, (besides some apps I.e Spotify recognises a data connection and can stream any cached songs). The icon shows the 4G+ but with the X for No Internet. Phonecalls and MMS work fine.
Update 6/8/20 (temporary-solution found!)
From some playing around I found a solution that seemed to fix it for me.
1. Turn the phone off
2. Remove the SIM card tray
3. Turn the phone on (Without the sim card tray inserted)
4. Re-insert the sim card tray after the phone is all properly loaded

Cellular stopped working again

Did you set private DNS? I experienced I set private DNS to block some of ads, and the DNS server suddenly down which cause no internet but the signal still show 4G+.

I am having the same problem as you as well. After i had updated to the latest, my internet has stop working. It shows 4g,but with an x below. However, i am able to use sms, and phonecalls. I tried toggling the mobile data, it worked for a while. But after a few mins, it went back to the same. Any way to go back to the previous update, please help.

No, I haven't setup my DNS with the private DNS feature but the Wifi menu, and I'm not sure if that even applies to cellular data anyway.

Hi. I have a Note 10 plus 5g and I have the same problem after going from stock to Dr Ketan Rom. I try to find your solution but I don't see it. can you tell it to me? maybe will work. thank you
