Usually you don´t need to pinpoint a MediaTek, device, there are (or were) rare cases though. Actually you need to bypass SLAA/DA restrictions, to can enter to BROM mode, instance where you can use SPFT, to flash your device, read this guide https://forum.xda-developers.com/t/mod-dev-mediatek-mtk-auth-bypass-sla-daa-utility.4232377/, also, you have this https://github.com/bkerler/mtkclient, and to get device to BROM mode, if you are not confortable with the command line, you can use this tool https://ujuzitz.com/mtk-client-tool-v5-2-mediatek-all-in-one-tool-download/ notice that I didn't check how many reliable this site is, just take it as reference, or look for this tool in other sites.

***Warning this may brick your phone if done wrong!!! I take no responsibility.***
You have to start to flash a tot and pull the usb as soon as the com port displays on your phone (you have less than a second to do this).
Close the flashing program and then reconnect the usb and you should be able to use send_command.exe
same problem and my phone isn't bricked sendcommand just not working. my version is zvB

Do the steps that I listed above... I am on ZVB too and it works. I was just warning you that you COULD brick your phone by doing this.

That is weird... Try a different command. I'm not sure if you need to type su or not anymore. Download mode is probably already in su mode.

i'm wondering why is this happening and searching errors for this and there aren't any conclusions.

Hey guys, I've tried looking all over the net but I cant find the Testpoint for the Z3 Compact.
My device is bricked I believe.
Im trying to recover my device with these methods:
-http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2646405
I also found this on the sony development site:
It shows UART ports (dont know what there are) under the battery on the Z3 Compact but Im not sure if this is the testpoint?
Im also not sure if that UART connection can be used to recover devices....?
I get these symptoms:
-can't power on after flash,
-no lcd or led reaction for power button,
-no lcd reaction for charger,
- PC/flashtool can't detect your phone with vol-,
-phone does not vibrate when holding vol+ and power together.
-shows up in device manager as SOMC flash device
-flashtool shows device is connected with usb debugging off but no response with vol- and plug in usb to start flashing.
I also posted about my device in a previous thread I posted here and explains some more detail:
That post kinda died and I dont really want to jtag my device because its just way too expensive.
I would like to try out other methods
Thanks in advanced!

SOMC flash device shows when phone can't read eMMC. If You didn't flash it with Nokia 3310 firmware or wipe whole eMMC I suppose it's hardware failure. It's common in SOny phones, I have many of those monthly and only changing eMMC is solution.

Hey thanks for the reply! I didnt get any notification that I had a reply to my thread, which is weird...
So is it possible to change eMMC on my phone to fix it? How can I go about doing that? Do you know of any videos/tutorials?
Thanks!
You can change eMMC IC but to do that You have to use Hot Air or BGA IRDA station.
To enter Recovery mode on the Sprint variant shut down the phone, Hold both the assistant button and vol down button, then insert the USB cable attached to a computer. Unfortunately, recovery mode appears to not have the drivers in the kernel (due to it being an alpha as far as I can tell) to open any connection from a PC. (No ADB sideload, and cannot or will not mount an SD-card). As far as I can tell, there really isn't any use for it without being able to get a PC connection, but I'm posting this just in case somebody smarter than me can figure something out.
hello, for a couple of days looking for the possibility to get root permissions but unfortunately I can't find solutions. I currently own a LG G8s ThinQ (LM-G810EAW). I find only previous root permissions to this smartphone. Thanks a lot for the collaboration

With the latest (V20d) Sprint update, ADB sideload is now possible. But what to sideload?
I have tried over and over again to unlock the bootloader.
I've signed into my Mi Account, the same on both my PC (Mi Unlock Tool) and phone.
I installed the Xiaomi driver.
I click unlock, and then it gets to 99% before saying Unknown error (-1)
I've tried on two PCs, one AMD Ryzen 2nd gen, one Intel Core 6th gen.
After trying on the Intel PC, the phone is no longer detected by the Mi Unlock Tool, on both PCs
I really need help with this

Try to 2.3.XXX
Check if your phone(fastboot mode) is detected in device manager as well.

Whenever I connect my phone while MiFlash is open, the phone instantly exists the bootloader, but stays on the bootloader if I reconnect it.
Edit: I also tried MiFlash 2.3.803.10, but my phone is not detected there either.
IT FINALLY WORKED when I disabled device signature enforcement on Windows.
Thanks for the help guys.
EDIT: IT DIDN'T BLOODY WORK. The unlock tool said successfully unlocked. When I check on the phone and through typing 'fastboot oem device info'
it said the phone was not unlocked.
EDIT #2: All of a sudden it just worked on my Intel PC with the newest version of Mi Unock
