Would it be possible to extract the file browser app .apk from the phone so I can install it on my Samsung Galaxy A30s 128GB if possible as the data sub folder is hidden on my phone and I discovered that the stock file browser app on the Oppo can access the data sub folder in the internal storage and allow me to copy, move, delete folders and files.
Thanks.

Hi, when you go into the "media" folder on your tab, is it possible to add more folders there then the stock photo, video, download?
Yes, its possible
And how do you do it?
Use the stock file manager "my files", or download astro file manager or efile from the market.
or use your pc/mac via usb
Using your tab only, click "my files" icon and navigate from there to wherever you want to place your new folder. Then use the context button to reveal the new folder menu, as well as rename and details options.
by the way, you might also be interested in a better media browser than the stock, use quickpic from android market.
also, if you add a blank file (usually a txt file) named .nomedia at the root of a folder which contains some files, the files won't get picked up by the media scanner and stay hidden, but will still be seen by file explorer like My Files.

So I accidentally deleted the Downloads folder on my internal storage while browsing the files on my PC and I immediately recreated it but its not working. I mean whenever anything is downloaded by the native Downloads manager app it shows up inside the app but not in the folder. I tried using both Download and Downloads as folder name but its still not working. My device has root access but I'm not able to find a Download(s) folder anywhere in the root directories either. Any ideas on how to fix this?
Did you check the permissions of the folder you recreated? Here's a snapshot (assuming I can figure this stupid app) of the permissions for the download folder on my htc m8. I imagine the permissions should be the same across devices.
Thanks for the response. I don't use ES File manager, only Solid Explorer for normal activities and Root Explorer for root related stuff etc. but if I'm not mistaken the dialogue in your screenshot represents global permissions, not just the permissions granted to the Download folder. Since the Download folder is located in the sdcard directory I believe the r/w permissions are automatically granted to the system. The issue probably lies somewhere else. The system download manager keeps storing downloaded files somewhere else, just not in the Download folder I created, and I've go no idea where or how to reassign it.
so I deleted a lot of things I didn't need, one of those being the stock file manager with the blue icon named "files" and now I can't enable apps to write to the SD card because apparently it needs that app to grant SD card usage and I can't find it anywhere, does anyone can share it please?
thanks in advance
EDIT:
managed to get it by merging the sparsechunks to create a .img file and then extracting it, if you ever need it here is the guide:

There is a file explorer made by Motorola or try Google files go that your phone should of got if you have Android Go Edition or check APK. File on internet explorer
I restore data to alot of my apps and games by transferring them between my devices "/android/data" and "/android/obb" folders.
With the pixel 5, it seems I can only read what's in these folders, not write. I've tried stock tile explorer as well as root file explorers and neither can write to these folders.
I even tried to move them from my PC over to the pixel 5, and as soon as a write is attempted to the folders the device "quits responding" until you quit the operation.
Any other way to drop files and or modify files in these folders? I have root.
I have modified some files by first copying them to storage, modify then copy back, using root explorer. You may have to change the attributes
AFAIK the only way to transfer data to android/data is through a computer. I just moved save file data for Soccer Manager 2021 there. Not rooted. Edit, just read your whole post (yeah I'm stupid lol) no idea why you couldn't do it, maybe try playing around with folder permissions?
You can't access files there from an explorer app on your own phone, but you can through windows. Weird.
In 3.0, no Dual App folder.
I googled and saw in Android 11, Samsung created a folder named emulated/95 for the dual app ( the primary folder is emulated/0 ). and the "95" folder is a hidden folder and so far I tried a few FileManager Apps, none can even find that folder.
