I am unable to use the unlock token page to unlock my device for the tmo variant because my serial number is 7 digits (?) when it requires 8 digits. What should I do? Should I send the device into oneplus to replace? Thanks

Did you copy everything directly from the fastboot output? If so, it should work. If not you can try to contact support, but I'll warn you, it's not fun trying to deal with their support. There have been multiple issues with the bootloader unlock site that I've had to deal with customer support and each time it's been like pulling teeth and never really accomplished anything directly with their support (they eventually forwarded the issues higher up and got them fixed on the backend of their website).

I got mine day 1 as well but it worked. Just took them almost 3 months to even add the 10 pro to the website to unlock and when they finally did and people got their tokens, the token links were broken and took another week to get fixed. Try going into settings --> About Device --> Status and see if you're serial number on there is 8 digits or not. If so use that one. If not just try to contact them.

got root on the G1 already ,possible unlock the G1 without unlock code
anyone working on it ?
I think there are 3 possible ways:
1:find the unlock flag then rewrite
2:find the IMEI code and change it to a IMEI code that has already got the unlock code
3:find the unlock algorithm
hack the baseband
Did you figure out something? I got my T-Mobile G1 bought off eBay in the brand new packaging with a SIM card. Probably someone stole it from BestBuy or Futureshop, whatever, but I generally don't care where it came from bradn new that cheap
But now NO ONE can provide me with an UNLOCK code for it
I tried several different unlock sites, including the most famous one mentioned here, but no one can actually calculate an unlock code based on my IMEI.
I tried some solutions like Gevey 3G / TurboSIM for G1, but eventually the phone with a "proxy" SIM sort of "sees" my SIM card, but still unable to register to the network.
I was wondering if any cable unlock solution was found for the G1 already.
I got the phone rooted with the latest baseband and with the latest self-made build off the android repository, but cannot figure out how to unSIMlock it now..
find someone with t-mobile, have them activate the phone on their line, then use a site or hopefully they have been with t-mo long enough to add international calling, tell them you require the phone unlocked to use a euro sim and your set
disclaimer: in theory
all of the above except adding a stolen phone to t-mo actually work [might still work, not like your responsible for ebay origins] and t-mo's great customer service will unlock it for you immediately if your account qualifies for international calling,
Call T-Mobile
call Jenny-Craig

Sounds crazy, not sure at all if it's been mentioned before but try www.htcunlock.com
They claim to be able to get any code for almost any htc phone including the G1, you can also buy codes in bulk to lower the cost, and its paid through paypal, so its kinda secure
Just my thoughts anyway
Oh and if you are unlocked but have no network, try setting up the APNs in wireless settings
Be prepared to wait several days for an unlock code from tmobile.

yup, been much faster than estimated all 5 times I unlocked my mobiles
I was unlocking the G1 for £3.50 using a site I had access to. I was getting the unlock codes back within an hour too.
PM me if you want your phone done.
No in fact, don't PM me as I don't have the access any more.
The website that can do it is Uniquephones.com

LMFAO...GNR
Hi all, I have a similar experience. We have a G1 here that was never linked to a contract, and T-Mobile refuse to acknowledge its existence. I have tries one unlocking company so far, and they claimed they were unable to get the code. Does this mean I will not be able to get the unlock code for my phone at all?
if its saying that its unable to register on the network then that usually means the sim has been disabled or that the phone has been reported stolen and the IMEI blocked
seems like nobody have a "flash scan" to get our SIMUNLOCK code
Thats the strange thing, it is simply locked to tmobile, a tmobile sim works in the phone, and all is good, but it is locked from other networks (asks for code)
I got my One about a month ago (first droid phone!) and have been trying to get the unlock code from htcdev.com, but it never sends it. I've gone through the unlock steps for "all other supported models", successfully submitted the Device Identifier Token and just wait for the email it says it sent with the file attachment. It never arrives. I even set up a 2nd account using gmail and the same thing. I've tried from Firefox and Chrome. I have tried this about 15 times now and getting pretty annoyed. Is this typical? Why the hell don't they send the code like they say they did? I manage the server with the email account I initially used, so I have access to all of the raw email server logs and nothing from htc is ever in there except for when I initially created the account and I received the email to activate the account.
All I want to do is get this stupid AT&T software off my phone so I can tether and use the net the way god intended
Since this is my first android phone, I'm not an expert on the ROM scene. From what I've read I probably want to install an International ROM and I believe the only way to do that involves unlocking the bootloader. Are there any other ways to do this if HTC won't send the unlock code for my phone?
I appreciate the help. I love this phone but want to get rid of half the crap that is on it that I can't remove and I don't use a single AT&T app.
I used this method to unlock, read this thread http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2314582

Anyone having probs lately with HTC Dev Unlock? Wife's phone (took Dec. 18 OTA).
I (twice) gave the 'fastboot oem get_identifier_token' response and no e-mail.
Weird.

I would check to see which email you used to register your account with HTCDev; they will send the file to that email address.
I used their service to unlock my phone a few days ago, and the email came almost instantaneously.

Heck yea -- have the right e-mail address -- everything goes there and it's not going to SPAM, either (all whitelisted). I'm trying to figure out if the code unlock operation is down or for whatever reason, even though accepting the code (gave 'em two since I ran get_identifier_token twice) they're not giving out unlocks for the moment. Hopefully not the latter.

Well, finally got it -- but a *very* long wait. I googled around, so some other folks waiting all day sometimes, so apparently ok.
Delete the thread if you want, Moderator -- unless it's useful for other impatient folks who have their wife breathing down their necks looking to get out of the Sprint choke-hold on their phones.
HAAAAaaa. Wife's very happy -- InsertCoin'd. Merry Christmas all -- obviously my day is getting better with that out of the way!
Hello. I just purchased a refurbished Pixel 5 from Amazon and it arrived today. I tried unlocking the bootloader but the option was grayed out with the message "Connect to the internet or contact your carrier" under it.
Probably Verizon branded.
To check if it is, I'll copy/paste this from a Telegram group I'm in for the P2XL.
Find out if your Pixel is from Verizon:
1. Visit Google's repair website https://store.google.com/us/repair
2. Open Chrome Dev Tools (Ctrl + Shift + I) and go to the Network tab
3. Check that you're recording all network activity
4. Enter the serial number and hit Enter
5. View the Response tab of the network log and if the phone name ends in "_vz", then it's Verizon (unfortunately).

Yeah, seems like it's a Verizon variant. Is there any way to bypass the lock (like calling Verizon or through exploits) or should I just return it? I really want Lineage OS on this phone but if it can't get it then I'll just return it.

The thing is that it did not even mention anything about Verizon on the seller website. Verizon is a **** for locking the bootloader in the first place. I don't know the model number for the unbranded Pixel 5 and I'm trying to find it on seller stores. Honestly this is absurd that they don't just let you unlock the bootloader. Is there not a way to call Verizon and ask them to unlock it?
No.
You can maybe find a paid service online to unlock your bootloader, but I can't recommend or condemn any off them. I've never used them, but I do know they are out there.
The seller probably never included that it was the Verizon version because to almost any normal user who doesn't root (probably the seller as well) it wouldn't be relevant

You have a point. I will ask the seller for a replacement and mail this one back to them. Thank you.
Hi Xdaers,
I'm not sure for a variety of reasons. I am not able to activate my eSIM with my local network service provider. I followed up, and I was told that the eSIM is blocked, and I have to go to the OEM to unblock the eSIM. which I found very fascinating and interesting at the same time. I want to find out if anyone else has been faced with this issue when activating the eSIM. And how did they get through it?
Spoiler: device specification
Pixel 7 (Factory Unlocked): I am using the local sim from the same service provider, and it's working fine.
Android 13 stable
Feb. Security update
Rooted, with Magisk 25.2
Safety net passed
Hello, I live in Colombia and yesterday I had the same problem. I had my esim working without problems on my p7 and I deleted it to transfer it to another phone and on the other phone I got this same message. Then I tried to put it back on my pixel 7 and I also got the same problem.

Have you been able to fix it? And, if so, have you reported it to your local network provider, and what have their responses been?
Hello, I'm telling you that I was visiting my mobile operator and they generated another qr code for me to download the esim and I take it without problems; I got it working again.
That's exactly (and the only way) to do it.

Sounds like you need to have them send you a physical sim card.
Actually nothing's blocked. Your carrier is ignorant.
Phase 1 of 4. Check with your carrier to determine if it's supported before configuring an eSIM. Launch the Settings application. Phase 2 of 4. Touch SIMs. Step 3 of 4: Click Download a SIM rather? Phase 4 of 4. Tap Next, then proceed as directed.

Ask for higher level support. Someone must know what to do. When I first started with VZW years ago I finally was connected to the one person who knew how to activate it. Now they all know but it took a while. Is switching carriers an option? Tell them your OEM unblocked it now it's up to you guys. Eventually they will need to send you a qr code for it to work.

Actually, I requested the eSIM from my provider. They sent an email following the steps with a QR code you just listed to activate my eSIM. I did that, and the end result is the screenshot that I posted. I called to report the issue, and I was told I should check with my OEM, (it happens because the OEM has blocked the eSIM). So I had to post here to find out if anyone is been faced with this issues.

Yes, exactly what I was thinking—I called again and got the same guy. So I will keep trying until I get a different person who will know how to activate it. Also, I'm hoping for a March update and will try again. Something will hopefully be fixed.
