Anyone having probs lately with HTC Dev Unlock? Wife's phone (took Dec. 18 OTA).
I (twice) gave the 'fastboot oem get_identifier_token' response and no e-mail.
Weird.

I would check to see which email you used to register your account with HTCDev; they will send the file to that email address.
I used their service to unlock my phone a few days ago, and the email came almost instantaneously.

Heck yea -- have the right e-mail address -- everything goes there and it's not going to SPAM, either (all whitelisted). I'm trying to figure out if the code unlock operation is down or for whatever reason, even though accepting the code (gave 'em two since I ran get_identifier_token twice) they're not giving out unlocks for the moment. Hopefully not the latter.

Well, finally got it -- but a *very* long wait. I googled around, so some other folks waiting all day sometimes, so apparently ok.
Delete the thread if you want, Moderator -- unless it's useful for other impatient folks who have their wife breathing down their necks looking to get out of the Sprint choke-hold on their phones.
HAAAAaaa. Wife's very happy -- InsertCoin'd. Merry Christmas all -- obviously my day is getting better with that out of the way!

Anyone else having trouble getting their .bin file to unlock the bootloader back via email from the HTC Dev site? I've been trying all day (since about 1PM) and nothing yet.
Got it from my email just fine a few minutes ago.
This shouldn't be in dev btw.

Not sure where else to post a question related to HTC Development specifically regarding the HTC Dev site other than here, but to stay OT until the thread is moved, I've made three or four attempts periodically throughout the day. Not sure what I'm doing wrong. I've created an account on HTC Dev, confirmed the account via email, logged in, selected 'other models' and posted the Token ID from my phone, but nothing is sent back.
Are there any alternative sites I can use, or other methods to get this done?
ETA: Wow. Wierd. Changed my email address to a different one (on the same domain) and got it just fine. Go figure.
I got my One about a month ago (first droid phone!) and have been trying to get the unlock code from htcdev.com, but it never sends it. I've gone through the unlock steps for "all other supported models", successfully submitted the Device Identifier Token and just wait for the email it says it sent with the file attachment. It never arrives. I even set up a 2nd account using gmail and the same thing. I've tried from Firefox and Chrome. I have tried this about 15 times now and getting pretty annoyed. Is this typical? Why the hell don't they send the code like they say they did? I manage the server with the email account I initially used, so I have access to all of the raw email server logs and nothing from htc is ever in there except for when I initially created the account and I received the email to activate the account.
All I want to do is get this stupid AT&T software off my phone so I can tether and use the net the way god intended
Since this is my first android phone, I'm not an expert on the ROM scene. From what I've read I probably want to install an International ROM and I believe the only way to do that involves unlocking the bootloader. Are there any other ways to do this if HTC won't send the unlock code for my phone?
I appreciate the help. I love this phone but want to get rid of half the crap that is on it that I can't remove and I don't use a single AT&T app.
I used this method to unlock, read this thread http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2314582

I have an HTC One on AT&T and didn't have a problem. Not sure what's going on with HTC Dev.

+1 on using revone to unlock. The link is a couple of posts up.
Hello,
i used HTC Easy Unlock Bootloader Tool with my Desire C. I got the token and pasted it on the HTC-page. It was prompted that the code was sent to my email account, but theres nothing.
I got the verification mail after registering at HTC so i guess they know my email adress.
How long does it take to get the unlock-code ?
E.P.
I got the unlock code thingy almost instantly

It really shouldn't take that long. If you don't get it in 24 hours try sending it again, making sure you input it correctly.
Or try taking the long route from htcdev.com
solved: simple explanation ...
Hello,
thanks for your replies !
Having had my first computer at the age of 13 ( Commodore C16 ) i thought to be a child of the computer age.
But this explanation didn´t come to my mind:
The unlock-key got stuck in the GMX-spam filter
Well everything´s fine now, hooray !
This is wild. I got my P5 today from the google store, got it set up and was going to OEM unlock when I noticed that OEM unlocking was greyed out. I tried a recovery wipe and a forced reset and it still wasn't fixed so I hit up support chat. They didn't even offer me steps, just said "You're under warranty so lets get you a new phone." Is this typical>?

Yeah. That's happened before. Your phone is black listed. The best thing that can happen is they send you a new one. Two years ago they were able to automagically whitelist us. And we were able to unlock. It's a glitch in the Matrix

Yeah. Your the only one so far. That's great that you said something and got results. Their was alot of us and we were all freaking out.
I had this happen at first (also with the Pixel 2). Bootloader unlock was greyed out until I fully set up the phone including a Lockscreen password, etc. If I skip most of setup and try to do it right away it's greyed out. Check again after just setting up everything and installing all my apps and suddenly I can do it. I think Google does this on purpose to discourage people from doing it.
Thanks, I had read previous threads that brought up that possibility so ive already tried that too
I was setting another phone. The phone will not allow for OEM unlock funcion until I connected to the internet via a wifi connection. After that, I was able to enble oem unlock.
I am unable to use the unlock token page to unlock my device for the tmo variant because my serial number is 7 digits (?) when it requires 8 digits. What should I do? Should I send the device into oneplus to replace? Thanks

Did you copy everything directly from the fastboot output? If so, it should work. If not you can try to contact support, but I'll warn you, it's not fun trying to deal with their support. There have been multiple issues with the bootloader unlock site that I've had to deal with customer support and each time it's been like pulling teeth and never really accomplished anything directly with their support (they eventually forwarded the issues higher up and got them fixed on the backend of their website).

I got mine day 1 as well but it worked. Just took them almost 3 months to even add the 10 pro to the website to unlock and when they finally did and people got their tokens, the token links were broken and took another week to get fixed. Try going into settings --> About Device --> Status and see if you're serial number on there is 8 digits or not. If so use that one. If not just try to contact them.
