i recently ordered xz1 c from taiwan, got today i am from india and using jio as my primary number, any one help me to work jio volte on this phone, there is option to enable volte on mobile network settings but volte is not working, reliance jio works on band 3,5 and 40 and is a 4g ony network doesn't have 2g/3g.i heard on us firmware t mobile volte is working but fingerprint is not, I am not caring about fingerprint scanner, if i flash the us version volte work ? which firmware part has network based settings? here in india xz1 dual has jio volte working, as there is no big differences between xz1 and xz1 c, if i flash specific firmware part from xz1 dual to my xz1 c does jio volte work? but the main thing is i dont know which firmware part i have to flash, any one please guide me solve this be helpful
VOLTE is enabled here in the UK, so pretty sure a UK build will work for you.
You will need ADB drivers for the phone and beware if you've used your laptop/workstation for another model of phone as sometime this can interfere.
Start with Xperiafirm and download the most recent firmware build, which as I type is UK customised. Sticking to customised build avoids all the bloatware that goes with branded builds.
Download newflasher and unpack it into the same folder as the firmware.
Delete userdataXXX.sin (this preserves the data partition during the flash)
Turn off phone, plug it in, start newflasher, type 'n' to the first two questions.
This should get you the latest build phone with your data intact

Hey,
Can you please let me know the process? I have ordered xz1c from US. I suppose it won't be having fingerprint working.
As others mentioned, UK firmware will give fingerprint but along with that I'd like to use Jio's VoLTE.
Please let me know the process. Also, may I know after doing that, will I miss on OTA updates?
Download Taiwanese firmware for xz1c and download Indian xz1 firmware, take OEM.sin from Indian xz1 firmware and replac oem. Sin in xz1c Taiwanese firmware and flash the modified Taiwanese xz1c firmware

I'm literally new to this flashing thing.. Can you please let me know the process of doing this? Or if you can refer me some link/thread of any guide for this.
Thank you so much.

Have you thought of posting your question on the XZ2 Compact thread?
That said there's no reason why you couldn't flash a version of firmware that supports VoLTE. yourself.
Xperiafirm will get you the up to date firmware, I would go for CE1 customised
Put Newflasher in the same folder as the downloaded firmware, remove Userdataxxx.sin and files ending in .ta to keep your data partition intact. Start Newflasher.exe and follow instructions.
You might need the Sony ADB drivers

Many thanks for your kind message and wish you a very happy new year.
I didn't posted it on XZ2 Compact thread, sorry for that. Actually I am novice and haven't flashed a mobile before. Moreover I am not able to find userdataxxx.sin and .ta files and honestly don't know where to look for them. Kindly please help. Thanks.

Thanks a lot. I first flashed xz2 dual indian firmware oem sin file with malasian 47.2.A.4.41 That soft bricked my device. Then I flashed xz1 dual indian firmware oem sin file with the same, now volte is working with reliance jio.
I used three FW-versions from XperiFirm and none of them enabled the VoLTE-setting on my XZ1c. Which one should I use to obtain the setting?
Is there a way to use Reliance Jio VoLTE on lineageOS 19.0, or 18.1 for that matter? I know flashing carrier MBN files works the trick for LG devices. Has anybody figured it out for xperias from 2017 or later? If it is available for any other xperia, I am happy to test it on lilac G8441.

flash customized firmware with oem info to get Volte

Hello friends I wondering: can I flash a customized firmware like customized UK with the oem partition from my oem(I from Mexico)? I want to use Volte 4.5 LTE here on my country.
The oem firmware came with Volte option to activate the function but have a lot of bloatware crap and outdated version. So I flash a customized UK to get rid of that crap and get the last updates but the firmware don't have the option to activate Volte only get 4g LTE.
I saw a thread talking about this problem but I remember last year on my USA xz1 compact I converted to a UK like I did with my XZ2 but when I flash the customized UK on my xz1 compact I use the USA oem partition to get Volte and it works very well. So I was thinking if could do this on my XZ2 or its different, can I brick the device or something?
I appreciate your help and you can understand my English.
Hello, Sony write about the XZ2 :
Android 8.0 - To enable VoLTE
Make sure your specific Xperia device model and network subscription support VoLTE.
Find and tap Settings > Network & Internet > Mobile network > Preferred network type > LTE or 4G (preferred)/3G/GSM.
Tap the switch beside Enable VoLTE to activate VoLTE. If Enable VoLTE isn't available, contact your network operator.
I have ask my phone operator to access to VOLTE; they send me this message this week : Votre demande d'activation de l'option VoLTE et Appels Wifi a bien été prise en compte.
I have tried Android P (Beta 2), French, Dutch, UK and CE1 firmware; but i can not find anything about VOLTE on the menu of my H8266 Dual SIM.
* # * # 4636 # * # * show me for all of these firmwares that VOLTE is not active on my phone.
I will go on this way to find a solution.

EE WiFi Calling / VoLTE on 432 region

Hello,
Is anyone using the European firmware with EE in the UK? Wondering whether WiFi Calling / VoLTE works with the 432 region, or whether it's baked into the UK firmware only?
Thanks,
David
I'm on EE with the latest .131 EU firmware, I converted from UK branded device. I can confirm VoLTE and Wi-Fi Calling both work for me with Google Phone.

xz1c voLTE definitive thread

Which firmware have Volte and fingerprint sensor Active?
CE1 has e. g SIP account and working Fingersensor
I had flashed ce1 OEM.sin no voLTE avaible.
it depends on your carrier. there is no single firmware region that has VoLTE enabled for all carriers.
for example, i am on T-Mobile US, and had to flash OEM.sin from the US firmware to get VoLTE working.
I had call my carrier and they tell that the service is active. Tim italy

Sony Xperia XZ3 flashed to Customized DACHBLX misses option "VoLTE"

Yesterday I flashed a used Sony Xperia XZ3 (H9436) from CID 1316-4789 (Customized NOBA) to CID 1316-6961 (Customized DACHBLX) to get VoLTE and VoWiFi selectable.
Because I had seen some error messages in the Newflasher log, I contacted the maintainer Munjeni (see my posting https://forum.xda-developers.com/posts/85701601/), he was able to confirm that the flashing itself was completed without errors.
Unfortunately, I did not quite reach my goal, VoWiFi is now functional, but I still miss the option to select VoLTE.
My SIM card (O2/Telefónica Germany) allows VoLTE in another smartphone, so in my opinion it can only be a firmware issue, am I right?
I would be grateful for a targeted solution suggestion.

Sorry to bump an old thread, but have you fixed the issue? I did a full system restore on my xz3 and still haven't gotten VoLTE to work on mine
Sorry for the late reply. No, my efforts to add VoLTE to the Sony Xperia XZ3 (H9436) are paused. I am also waiting for a good tip for a working solution. In the meantime, I'll limit myself to VoWiFi and/or use VoLTE on my second mobile phone, the Sony Xperia XA2 Ultra (H3213).
