Hi everyone
I am using rooted stock rom Android 12 ui 4.0 on my samsung galaxy s10 5g. The problem i am facing right now is that i am not getting the notifications from the apps like the promotionals offers, order updates etc which used to come on android 11 on a notification bar. Notifications are running in a background in real time under the app but i am not being notified. I tried all the setting for the notifications, battery optimization, sleeping apps, dnd etc. Everything seems to be fine but still not getting any solution.
Can anyone please suggest me something? Any magisk module or anything which can make them work? Thank you

Hello,
Just a quick question, but has anyone found out a way to stop this from happening? Text messages, phone calls, etc from built in apps all give correct volume levels when the notification/call arrives.
However, any third party apps such as facebook messenger or whatsapp etc have extremely low notification volume.
This was a common problem with the Galaxy Note 4 and some newer LG phones too. No one seems to know if it's an android bug present since 4.4 and in 5.0, or if it's a safety feature.
Either way, it's extremely annoying. I'm gonna say its a bug, as if I get 2 notifications in quick succession, the 2nd will always be at max volume. Also at times the notification volume is at max regardless, before it goes quiet again an hour or so later.
There was an app that prevented all of this in 4.4, but it does not work with Lollipop.
This is present in the stock Android L builds from google, and in every custom ROM I've tried so far.
Any solutions?
Thanks in advance!
Hey,
I'm also having this problem. did you ever find a fix?
Hello All and thank you in advance for taking the time to read this. I have a Galaxy s5 G900A on AT&T running android 6.0.1. I recently switched from the Nova launcher to the Google Now launcher and absolutely love it. However, I desperately need the badge notifications for messages and calls and emails. From my research it seems you must root to fix this issue, and my research hyas also turned up that its essentially impossible to root this phone. Can anyone verify that this is true? Is there some other way to get the badge notifications with Google Now, or a way to downgrade, root, then install a custom 6.0.1 ROM on the phone? Thanks again for your help and consideration!
Op3T, stock. Android 8.0.0/Oxygen OS 5.0.6
I have a couple of apps that I need to be running all the time. Namely an app from my Insurance co that monitors driving and a Cisco Jabber app (chat). What keeps happening, is that the apps keep getting killed or restarted when they are in the background. Happens anywhere between 20 and 40 (or sometimes more) minutes.
Advanced optimization is off and both apps are set to "don't optimize" in battery options. Other things run in the background just fine - Gmail, WhatsApp, Messenger, Outlook, etc. all get notifications.
Is there another setting, besides optimization, that controls this?
On OxygenOS you can try the padlock icon on recent apps menu
Thanks. I thought that icon was to lock the screen to specific app. Will try and see what happens.

That's the one thing i miss from OOS (Nougat). That padlock really kept things in Recents, and probably memory too. I've not found it useful at all on Oreo custom ROMs. It doesn't seem to do anything at all!

Yeah, me too, it is most probably not implemented. I tried several things to make some apps stay in memory, but unfortunately I can't get it to work. On OOS I could lock i.e. Dialer in memory and repoen it 2 days later without reloading. No custom ROM can do this.
It seems that it doesn't want to work on OOS Oreo, too. I try to keep 7-10 apps always alive in background and some of them stay in memory, but these most important (Dialer, Contacts) won't. I don't know what happens, but I'm really considering downgrading to Nougat. Why do we have 6 GB RAM if we can't even properly utilize it?
I'm using MIUI10 China ROM 10.0.1.0.
Im having trouble with getting notifications, I'm never getting notifications from fb, mess.... I have to open the app to look for new messages etc.
I have tried a dozen guides. None of them have helped me.
Autostart enabling, battery restrictions set to no restriction, miui optimization turned of.
Never had this issue with my mi4, RMN4X....
Is this an issue with the miui? Or???
Hope somebody can help me!

Had the same problem, fixed it this way:
1. Settings
2. Developer Options
3. At the bottom turn Miui optimization off
Or install xiaomi.eu rom in twrp fixed this as well.
Hi guys,
I hope quarantine life is good
I cannot send Sms messages after the update to Android 10, on Mi9 CC. Receiving them is not a problem.
The carrier message center number is correct.
Has anyone else encountered this?
Is there a way to downgrade just the messages app, or maybe set another app (Fb messenger) as default? I feel like the phone moves faster with Android 10, so I would like to avoid downgrading the entire os. The phone is rooted.
Thank you very much!
Do you have volte enabled? Try disabling it if you do, happened to me a few times, can't remember if on Miui-based or AOSP based ROMs though.
