When will be available kernel source for redmi note 11 spes/spes_n device. they are delaying too much. i need source code for building Custom kernel. plz someone get me the source code
Look here: https://github.com/MiCode/Xiaomi_Kernel_OpenSource
If spes/spesn is listed there they published the source code. You can write a simple scraper script to look for these words and monitor the status.
I don't think anyone here can give you more information on the date, but proove me wrong.

They haven't released any sources since last year, so I doubt it.
Let's hope that there is a class action lawsuit or something.
They are violating the aosp license after all.
any updates on the kernel release for rn11?
I doubt there will be any lawsuit because they are a chinese company after all
they will not release. if we Don't complain against GPL violation, so we have to make unity, there is a 4k member in telegram but sucking lollypop, very sad. i decided to change this device. It's very disappointed

Hey i Compiled it two days ago. Its not stable enough for a release. There are some hot reboots, sim and camera are not working but the Main Problem is that the Internet storage is not mounted correctly and this means you can't installiert apps or make Screenshots vor download something from the Internet.

I feel like I read somewhere that we needed to wipe after flashing. Just confirming if we do or not. As my understanding goes, start to finish: unlock bootloader, fastboot flash kernel to either A or B (whichever is active), reboot = profit?
Thanks for the quick development already!
Can you explain the benefit of this?

No need to wipe, just unlock bootloader(which will wipe your phone), then fastbot flash kernel and reboot. To change your active partition you can use "fastboot --set-active=a"

Flashed R5 like a charm on Pixel. Not sure if it matters but I noticed version says it's marlin instead of sailfish. You're probably using the same base and what not though. Figured I'd let you know.

It's literally just one small change in the ramdisk that makes it work, so I just append the Pixel ramdisk to the same kernel. I will remove that when I get anykernel going and it will be the same zip for both devices at that point. Just waiting on TWRP to be public.

Definitely interested in trying out this kernel. is there a way to backup the stock sailfish kernel(or does anyone have a copy of it?) that would be able to be flashed over to revert the system in the event that there are issues(such as an app failing due to modded kernel)?

Support:
We spend an astonishing amount of time developing this software. We can't spend much time on XDA as a result, so if you need support, please try the following:
1) Search. Search, search, search. Yes, you. I don't care how unique or important your question is, it's very likely someone has adressed it already. Especially if you're even close to new at this.
2) Read our FAQ, which can be found on our website. Carbon FAQ
3) Ask a question in your device forum. Someone will no doubt try to help you. Warning: this help may come in the form of telling you it's a dumb question that has been asked before. See step 1 - such are the perils of asking questions when you haven't done the research yourself. Android is about helping yourself.
4) Join our Discord server! There, you can connect with other Carbon users and our developers, and you can get quicker responses to your bug reports. The invite link is right below.

do you guys think this phone will get custom rom and twrp support?
I wouldn't expect it too soon. But hopefully within a year or so I think it would be possible to see twrp support and maybe even custom roms.
Most custom ROM and TWRP builds need a kernel source.
We need Xiaomi to release the kernel source for Mi 11T Pro first.
You can constantly check the release of kernel sources on their Github. Once you see [11T Pro] in the list. You have a better chance to get TWRP and Custom ROM

Problems with brightness control
The fingerprint or power button does not work sometimes, you must press the button more than once
Battery performance in idle mode is very poor

We need to wait till xiaomi releases the kernel source for android 12, right now all the roms are based on android 11 source
