where at? are you talking about the actual device or a page that shows things in detail?
The one that shows you with pictures how to take the phone apart.
Gamergee: Generally, most guys out here just plain hate newbies. I guess they were born with a kaiser already stuck in their butt and rather waste their time posting useless teasing crap instead of helping out or pointing the newbie into the right direction.
You can find the complete disassembly instructions here: http://www.pdacenter.ru/razborka/razbor_htc_kaiser/
This link was taken from the XDA-Wiki under Kaiser Devices. Check it out. It has tons of useful stuff.
Good Luck and let us know how it went.

More like we worked for the knowledge and rarely had someone hold our hands through learning.
So just because you had it hard so lets make it hard for the newbies. That doesn't work for me. I appreaciate the Wiki feature but it isn't the answer to all things or this forum would be dead quiet.
This isn't personal. This thread has 4 posts and 70 views. What does that tell us? In my view it means:
20 newbies looked into it because of similar doubts hoping to find an answer that didn't come thru.
20 senior members looked into it and gave a crap about this newbie and didn't even bother to answer
20 variate members just browsed through it without any particular interest or knowledge to answer
the remaining 10 views are probably you, me and Gamergee
Something is wrong here.
You can download the HTC Service Manual that I have uploaded here:
http://rapidshare.com/files/148077399/HTC_Kaiser_Service_Manual.rar
It has a lot of things and how to disassemble the Kaiser.

Where did you buy the case for tytnII, and how much is it? I have to replace mind too.
I just feel like the main rules to this forum should be followed, just as most senior folks have done. At least when I tell you that you didn't search I know the answer is out there.
Read and search before posting.

New here

Hey all! I'm new here to xda-dev. I've lurked the forums for a while since getting my Touch HD in February. I am Lebanese and I HATE our oligopolous mobile carriers . Thankfully, Alfa(Cellis) plans to introduce HSPA+ 21mbps before 2010. I can only hope this is true so I can get a data plan for my phone.
Looking forward to tweaking my Blackstone
Welcome to the forum

welcome to the forum
well as stated above Read, search, respect and enjoy!
and maybe teach us some of your knowledge about these stuff
its all about sharing and caring
good luck with your HD(drooling............ as i only have diamond )
Good evening and welcome, are you sitting comfortably? Then we shall begin!
I know everyone says use search and blah for answers, but can anyone point me out to where is a really basic guide for tweaking one's WinMo phone? You know backing up the ROM. Flashing etc... I find it friendlier to get knowledge like that regarding a broad topic than the usual browse/search suggestion. I would know from the other gaming board I visit.

Just another post in the wrong forum section...
Please read this forum section description, standard Android head units are not Android Auto devices!
If you don't know what is the Android Auto system, just have a look:

Sorry! Please move it or just delete it...

MTCD
I did not know where to post this same question so I would like to piggyback on this one.
looks like there is a lot of development work here for MTCB and that the MTCD is starting. I have a newsmy and I am thinking of switching to a different unit with more support and activity. I am looking at 2 units, both Joying, JY-UQ130 and JY-UL135. one is MTCB and one is MTCD, I know by reading the forums I can update the UQ130 to 5.1.1 So wich would you do and Why?
I see one prior post that says MTCD, but no real reason.. THANKS

hellos!

Welcome aboard!
What device are you on?

Greetings.

Hello everyone.
Got word there was a newish forum around here, I'm talking about Computing of course, and decided to give it a try.
XDA is known for being a forum about smartphones and I don't have one, heh. I know how they work and how to repair them though, I'm not fond of smart/IoT devices in general, privacy and planned obsolescence are the main causes, also the fact that I have no use for one, already have a dumb phone to talk to family and friends, no social media, we don't even watch TV (radio gang, report in) at home so it'd be sort of useless to spend money on something that has no use.
Anyway, name's there, I'm sort of a hardware nut but also enjoy tinkering with whatever lands on my workshop, it's a side gig though as I work in IT, also volunteer at a recycling plant to find all kind of things that only need a few minor repairs to be in working condition again, it's fixed and then donated to the needy.
Other than that I like restoring and refurbishing old stuff, and if it can't be repaired I recycle them into something else and sell it, guess my taste comes from the fact I live in an old house, with a basement full of antique things from my grandparents, looks like my grandpa was the same as me and liked tinkering around with things, he's left me boxes full of all kind of spare parts, tools and curiosities that are hard to come by nowadays, so instead of playing with dolls and makeup when I was a kid I was more into making simple electrical circuits, lamps, soldering irons and later building my first computer out of scrap parts, a mighty K6 with a 1GB hard drive, 9" monochrome monitor and DOS, this was all obsolete when I build it, but it was the real it ain't much but it's mine.
So that's that.

Hello, thanks for replying. I've read the rules and etiquette already, though I have a question, what does "hitting thanks" means? is it the same as liking a comment/post?
If it's something else I probably can't access to it yet because of my newbie account.

When this forum ran on vBulletin, we had a "thanks" button. Unfortunately, our migration to Xenforo removed that functionality. You can react to posts, but for the time being we cannot "thank" posts. I believe some threads allow up/downvoting but this has not been implemented sitewide.

Oh. I'm in TPU forums as well and they also use Xenforo, although an older version I believe.
