Hello friends, I'm using a s20fe snapdragon phone, I've been using an android phone for 11 years, I bought a phone with a large processor for the first time, I searched for a custom rom for this phone but I couldn't find it, or I overlooked it, can you please suggest me a stable working custom rom.
I wish you a good day
the FEs have no custom roms

I bought this Redmi 4X yesterday, it asked for update and I did it. I'd like more of a stock andro experience but I'm not yet sure if I won't lose some camera capabilities (I never had a smartphone with camera that makes people look better before). So I read that Xiaomi gives different MIUI versions to download and supports this fully. But then I learn that "older" version of MIUI that I have (MIUI 7 vs MIUI 8 I have) has newer android 7 compared to my android 6. Why is that?
Is there any consensus on least bloatware on Redmis? Also, is MIUI the same as rom, or it's just an addon installed on top of AOSP? Sorry for asking such questions, but in my case I always understand things after I already have flashed some roms, but don't have any backup phone in case I brick my phone.
Current stats:
6.0.1 MMb29M android
MIUI global 8.5 Stable
8.5.2.0 (Mammied)
Hi
Sorry but did you buy a xiaomi smartphone without take any information about it ??
1st question : will you try to root & install custom firmware ?
If answer is yes, you should first use method to unlock the bootloader.
After that, everything will be so easy !

Only you can answer this question, as every user has different needs and preferences.
Here you can check for available custom roms:
Galaxy Note 4 Android Development (Exynos)
Android development for the Exynos version of the Samsung Galaxy Note 4
forum.xda-developers.com
Many users like LineageOS.
I like LineageOS with android 11, incredible but true

Some people in this forum said that the best ROM for the Chinese variant is the China ROM or the XiaomiEU ROM and for the other variants it is the best to use the Global, Europe, Indian,.. ROM.
Is that true if I want the best Performance without big throttle or can I use every ROM on every Variant?
I personally got the Chinese variant and the EU Stock ROM because of my Region, but if I sometimes See people here getting insane antutu scores, I think I did something wrong with ROMs or even decided to buy the 8GB variant instead of 12GB
Can someone explain me everthing short and clear?
You can install any of the roms once you unlock the bootloader,(just don't relock it with any ROM except the Chinese one since your phone is Chinese version)
If you have a decent internet connection it doesn't take long to download them all , skip through the settings and run an antutu test on each one to see which is the best
its been a few years since i modded a phone. i recently got my hands on a used samsung galaxy note 8 {factory unlocked/no carrier} with a snapdragon processor.
model # SM-N950U1
Im searching around this forum but most of the info is for exynos processors.
i need to unlock the bootloader and root so that i can install
LineageOS 19.1.how can i do this?
The snapdragon version is called the "greatqlte". You can root it via twrp, but I'm not sure about custom rom support, and definitely not lineage19.1.
The snapdragon version has basically no support on xda. Someone posted a question similar to yours a while back.
too bad , its still a good phone, whats the highest version of android i can install ?
I don't think there are any roms.. I think I saw an oreo one, but you're probably better off sticking to oneui on android 9, which is stable (unlike the oreo build).
You can still root and debloat/customise your phone via magisk modules etc.
Hi, I'm new here and also suck at all things tech.
I recently got the Note 9 and it's just a beautiful phone in almost all aspects. I'm having some problems with it, but that's for another forum. I want to ask here about rooting and ROMs. Can the Note 9 be rooted and are there ROMs available for it? If so, what is the easiest way for me to go about rooting it and installing a custom ROM? Do I look for computer and cell phone stores in my city and ask them?
One of my past phones was rooted and had a custom ROM. It was splendid just because of the ROM and from then on, I couldn't imagine having a phone I didn't root and get a custom ROM for. Unfortunately, since then, all my phones have been ZTE which-- at least for a long time-- didn't have any available ROMs. If this phone can be rooted and upgraded with a custom ROM, awesome. If I can fix the other issues first.
You didn't say what processor your phone has so here goes:
For Snapdragon CPUs: https://forum.xda-developers.com/f/samsung-galaxy-note-9-snapdragon-roms-kernels.8318/
For Exynos CPUs: https://forum.xda-developers.com/f/samsung-galaxy-note-9-exynos-roms-kernels-reco.8016/
There are many custom ROMs, kernels, etc here in the XDA sections. In my opinion NobleROM would be one of the best ones just from what I've read/seen about it.
But do ask yourself if you really need root and a custom ROM on the Note9. I'm a guy who could never imagine having an unrooted phone until I got the Note9 - it has everything I'd want stock and there is also GoodLock modules which are made specifically for OneUI by Samsung and don't require root.
PS: Just NEVER put a Snapdragon ROM/kernel on an Exynos phone and vice versa or you'll most likely brick it.
