The screen will freeze when taking videos in specific scenarios.

The videos might show in green when shot in FILM mode.

Ambient display 2.0
Lift up display
These two are a new implementation of Ambient display, meant to help stop accidental wakes while pulling the phone out of your pocket. Activation of the screen now requires a “double tap” action. While lift up display does exactly what it says, it turns on the screen to peek at notifications when the device is lifted.
Sharing functionality for Shot on OnePlus
You are now able to share the cool pictures you find in the Shot on OnePlus section in wallpapers
All new OnePlus Font (Available in English, Chinese, and Japanese only)
There is now a Font switcher setup in settings.

You must do a clean installation, since the base is changed, from oreo to pie.
Already clean flash...
Just to install latest version of play store from apkmirror and reboot, everything is ok and updated.

Update: Miui screen recorder is available. But, due to Google's policy, it can't record internal sound.

Yeah that's the one but the name is little different, check the settings and see if you can recorder system sounds only and the other option should be record Mic

This zip file contains boot_debug.img that enables adb root access. Is it possible to flash/boot that boot img without unlocking the bootloader?
No idea, i stuck at edl mode right now, need bit help from asus tech

But the actual .raw file is not included so no go to fix bricked zenfone 8
So I can't play with it in case of bootloops we aren't able to restore it back :/

My settings: fingerprint > screen off unlock > hide
Pick up phone to show indicator > off
Tap screen to show > off
After update to the new FW, I can unlock the phone with my right thumb, but not with the left one. This worked before the update. I tried adding a new fingerprint, but it did not help.

That's not exactly what I mean, you can see video below that pretty much explains my issue:
What I noticed, that delay is about halfed if I use standard Asus launcher, but it's still too slow. With Nova launcher it is as in the video.

Im on beta at Version WW-33.0210.0210.180 and if they don't broke anythink i can recommend upgrade to A13. It works much better

Confirmed working on the EU variant.
Of this update, what I like most is the possibility to shrink the enormous quick tiles to smaller icons. But the first time you boot Android 13 it's hard to tell the difference from the previous version.
I also updated to this firmware. It's great. Much smoother and less bugs (so far). Also, the small quick setting tiles are back!

No, it REC button shows the same as on A12.
No need to activate it differently.
Thanks. I had to downgrade because it doesn't show for me. I tried googling it, but Google has kinda sucked for about two years now. Are there any troubleshooting guides for this?
