Hi all,
Currently device is using winusb.sys driver, ran (Mi Unlock ver 6.5.406.31) MiUsbDriver & xiaomiwinusba64.cat, but still Windows 11 keeps using winusb.sys driver.
Anyway of forcing it to us the MiUsbDriver driver?
Without using 3rd party software..
Tried regedit to remove winusb.sys, without luck.
Thanks

Phone Mi 8
Computer OS : Win 10 64-Bit
Mi Unlock vers: 4.5.514.47
Driver (all install)
OEM unlocking "On"
Mi unlock status "active" (no error)
Proplem:

"Unlock Button" not active
From the bit of information you provided, it appears that the problem is related to the MI 8 driver, the computer may not "recognize" the device correctly.
Another option is: "Zone", try changing a zone on your device and try again.

I had the same problem. It seems that the usb drivers do not work well with the latest versions of windows 10 and/or with usb 3.0 ports. I tried 3 different computers without success. I resurrected an old laptop with windows 7 and only usb 2.0 ports and problem solved. Maybe there is another version of usb drivers that work with windows 10, but i couldn't find it.

If you don't have usb 3.0 ports on your pc then probably the problem is with the latest versions of windows 10. I know that 1 year ago the drivers were working with windows 10, so maybe you can find a computer with an older version of windows 10 or install one and try it before upgrade. Sorry, i can't help you more.
Hello everyone.
I read your posts and it seems weird to me.
I have an MI 8 device that automatically connects to Windows 10 of any kind.
It is no problem to find a driver that fits your device.
To be on the safe side, you need to enable "developer options" and select: " file transfer ".
There are also many sites that offer free drivers download for MI8 device.
(Example- https://usbdriverspie.com/xiaomi-mi-8/)
I have an original Microsoft "driver" with no problem.
Hi, today the Mi 11 arrived from China here in Germany. I am heaviliy disappointed as I didn't manage to connect the phone via USB to the PC. I tried to install many different drivers but Windows 10 always tells the same, that it can't recognize the device.
The Xiaomi Webpage is so bad. Many Links to drivers are dead. I only want to connect my new phone in fastboot - mode to the PC to install the EU ROM.
I need your help , after so many tries I give up to get the phone connected. First of all: Do you have a link to usb driver, that worked for you?
I tried it on two different PCs... same result.
Thanks in advance.
Jens
I don't remember exactly what I did, but I remember it involved going to the device manager, finding the (not correctly recognized) Mi 11, and manually selecting a driver. Don't remember which driver I used or where I got it, but maybe that helps.

I installed the tool XiaoMoToolV2 and still there is noch connection. So bad and diappointing.
I can't believe, that there is no step by step instruction to get the connection established, and furthermore: how ist it possible, that Xiaomi doesn't deliver a valid driver?

I faced this exact same issue yesterday.
Here's the solution:
Download this version instead: http://miuirom.xiaomi.com/rom/u1106245679/5.5.224.55/miflash_unlock-en-5.5.224.55.zip (this is official but the link is not available on the Mi Unlock website)
Unzip.
(Optional) Run driver_install_64.exe (if 64-bit) or driver_install.exe (if 32-bit) your PC doesn't have the proper drivers.
Run miflash_unlock.exe as Administrator.
Login. (It will not take you to your account view like the old version)
Connect your phone in Fastboot mode and click Unlock.

Did you run it as Administrator?
In that case, I suggest you uninstall the drivers by finding them in Device Manager and resinstall from driver_install_64.exe

Hi there, maxbrew here. I just got a Nokia Lumia 520 and windows phone 8.1 (also carrier locked).
I wanted to install some applications directly from the phone itself since I don't have much access to computers. Is it possible to do?
Hi Maxbrew,
the only way to install apps to the 520 is updating it to Windows 10 MOBILE. Without computer, that is impossible. With computer, it is a challenge, but possible and it runs fairly good. Search for Windows 10 mobile offline updater (W01M_Installer), install W10m, do all possible Updates, perform a hard reset and register it with Microsoft. Then you will be able to use the App store or sideload apps via developer mode.
Best regards,
Joachim
