It's not completly clear and I can't find any trustworthy infos about the future of the next big Android update for Edge 20. Us were promised two big updates, but just can find that our beloved Edge 20 is not on any update list for A13. How could it go on and has anyone infos about this?

They promised 2 major updates. Very annoying.
Motorola have stuck true to their word, and have added the Edge 20 and its variants to the list of phones getting the upgrade fairly recently. I believe they had marketed this particular model as having 2 "big" updates rather than the usual 1, hence why they have added it to the list.
Hope this helps even with the age of this thread.
Motorola usually updates phones after the release of the new edge series, after the global version of edge 40 they will start updating older phones with android 13. I'm guessing that the edge 20 will receive the update around April or May, It could also come late this month but it's unlikely. You can watch the release date of android 12 on this same device to get an idea.
Now we can say that the update delayed a little bit more, but seen in china region already. So we almost there, maybe this month

I don't know what to trust anymore, both ss are taken from official motorola website.

Android 4.4*KitKat*might have rolled out to quite a few Samsung devices already, but the update is yet to start making its way to most of the low-end and mid-range phones in the company’s lineup. We’ve heard that Samsung has been working on those updates and is also*planning on bringing Android 4.4.3 to some of its devices, and thanks to our insider, we’ve obtained info on where the company stands regarding said updates. Starting off with*Android 4.4.3*(build number KTU70), the yet-to-be announced version of Android is currently being tested on the*Galaxy S5*(both the Exynos and Snapdragon models) and the LTE-A variant of the*Galaxy S4*(GT-I9506A).
However, Android 4.4.3 is only being integrated with Samsung’s own software and features at the moment, so it will likely not be made available for a month or so (Google will probably roll it out by the end of this month or sometime in June before Google I/O, after which we can expect to see it rolling out to the Galaxy S5 and other devices.) It’s also a bit strange that 4.4.3 is currently being integrated into the Galaxy S4 LTE-A – from what we know, Android 4.4.2 is actually being tested on that device, but since it hasn’t rolled out yet, we might see the handset skipping directly to 4.4.3 in the future.
As far as older, more modestly powered phones are concerned, it seems that Samsung is on track to follow the time frame that we’ve seen in the past. Devices like the*Galaxy Grand 2,*Galaxy Mega 5.8, and the*Galaxy Mega 6.3*are undergoing final testing and should get the Android 4.4.2 update sometime in June. Like the Galaxy S4 LTE-A, some of these devices might skip directly to Android 4.4.3 as well, so it’s possible that the update’s rollout could be pushed into July or later.

Just received a notification for "Motorola Sensor Service Firmware" upgrade. Does anyone have any idea what it is?
I am still running Kitkat and haven't yet upgraded to Lollipop.

Wonder if its the one that came out in September and you just haven't taken it yet? Check the play store for Motorola sensor services. When I first got my phone in October most of the Motorola apps needed to be updated but I needed to find them manually....once you find one just check the others apps from same dev to get them all easier.
Unless this is a new one which I hope it is, would be more exciting

Thanks for the reply.
I just bought the phone couple of days back and have only updated the Moto apps came preloaded and installed my needed apps. Haven't even updated to Lollipop.
How do I know if this one is the Sept update? is there any way to know the version? What is version of the the Sept update?
I am annoyed by the camera autofocus performance during video shooting. Does the Sept update fix that issue? Rest of things are working absolutely fine, I hope the update doesn't break them.
I got this update earlier in the week. There was a big dump of Motorola app updates. I just got my phone a few weeks ago so I don't know if it's a catch-up update or a newer one.
Just found this . As always guys please take this with a grain of salt, who knows if the sources are reliable or not but it's always great to have some hope it's coming sooner rather than later.

The article is full of mistakes so it is unlikely to be true. Considering Samsung's history of delivering late updates we will probably wait forever
Sounds too good to be true, and we all know how that goes
according to this article we already have 5.0.2!! oh wait... we kind of... don't!
5.1 update possible for tmobile edition, but only after they release the note 5. Even than they'll make us wait a few more months because cmon there tmobile and they take forever.

I have high hopes but low expectations. Luckily 5.01 has been running fairly smoothly for me with AT&T. (knock on wood)

Note:
The update is available over the air, meaning it will take some time before everyone gets the download notification, so be patient. Also, the fact that it’s rolling out in China means that the global version will take some time before coming out.

That is good news.
Got the update already. Nothing much to be excited about.
Someone said widevine level reverted back to L1 from L3 but NO it's still L3. Camera 2 support still limited. And that's it.

This feature offers a safe riding experience for the users who use the phone when riding bikes.

Thanks,, didnt have a clue, just another eminently forgettable feature then
First of all love the phone however something has become evident, its not getting updates. I am UK unlocked, stuck on April patch, checking sammobile the middle east is stuck on January patch. The only version that seems to be getting updates is the north American A715W version.
This wouldn't be an issue were it not for the fact that I left Huawei P30 because it was only getting updates 2-3 times per year. Also last years A series is getting monthly udaptes. MY work A50 is on July patch and gets an update every month.
Why would this be? Not good service for a new phone, that's like the new iPhone SE not getting updates while the iPhone 7 is.

Attached. Why does this matter?
The penny has dropped. Exynos is the difference. They are not updating snapdragon
no problem with your device , you'll get updates when released
regards
A71 is getting quarterly updates. I got one in July next will be in Dec.
Im unlocked UK version R58N133XTVN, Im still on April. It s a bit of a joke that my wifes Honor 10 Lite ( cost 90 pounds ) have updated to July , I'm way behind. I assume its just a case of waiting, hopefully, it's not like my LG was .. when it was a year in between updates then it stopped. I could have put a ROM on that phone, but I've been there done that.
