Hello everyone, I just got a tilt by AT&T and found this forum while searching for ways to improve/add missing features. I have not worked with this type of software before but hope to learn a lot (likely at the cost of some frustration). Any recommendations on how or what you have done to improve the phone? Thanks,
wavelength20
Just take out some time from your daily life and search Do not ask a question unless you're certain it hasn't been asked before. You'll be shun upon. I'm just saying take some time, search, and you'll be a pro soon enough.
thanks for the heads up. the search for improvement has begun, and will likely go on indefinitely.

But that was pretty deep info lol. It's like you get chocolate and you taste it to see if it's good or not then eat the whole thing in one bite after you're done and then you go to get more chocolate. lol.

I knew this site had underlying agenda...MALWARE COOKED INTO THE ROMS???
5 cents per ROM install
kinda like the people who release XP and Vista .ISO's with Malware preloaded so its untraceable
I knew a guy that was getting $1 an install and made close to $100,000

Psssh. This site is like drugs. Too addicting. But unlike drugs you can't not be addicted to it o.o
Here's a tip- MAKE SURE YOU'RE USING THE FORUMS FOR YOUR DEVICE AND NOT SOME OTHER FORUM.
you can tell i've made this mistake before.

Start from the ground up, take apart some apps, ask friends if they are into Android and possibly find a developer to work with, my buddy Scary Alien and I are building multiple apps and it makes it more fun. Get some books if that is how you learn, I reccomend Apress books. And just have fun with it! Its not too hard but it does help to know basic algebra as you use lots of math in coding.
Cheers and feel free to PM me if you need some help along the way!

Haven't seen many updates, feel like the devs are finally moving on.
Is this really the end ?
Of course not!
I remember when I started web devving. I was faced with a problem: I wanted a website, but couldn't find anyone who would do what I wanted. So I learnt myself, and now I own a successful web design business.
The moral of this story is: If you think there is a need for it, just teach yourself some java, c++, etc and you're good to go!
As you can see on git, scooter is doing a lot of work but also:

I've been making some slow progress as well. Granted it's very time consuming.
But yah, I'm still going too!
Sent from my KAIS100 using XDA App
Yeah, the title doesn't really make any sense.
But anyways, I'm RandomParable! I'm a software, back-end and front-end developer from time to time, but it's something that I like to keep to myself, mostly because I don't want to inflict pain and suffering on someone else. Other than that, I like to do things for people's eyes, because why not?
Went on here to ask, maybe do some answering depending on that day, about general technical issues.
Maybe I'll regret this, maybe I'll not, who knows! The future is an uncertain mess.

Appreciate the warm welcome!
Ok, so I know enough about developing to really mess up my phone. Realistically I'd like to learn how to navigate through my phone's settings and be able to spot when something is amis, or everything is great.
