Strange firmware version G900FXXU4BOK4 - AT&T Samsung Galaxy S 5

Hello everyone
I bought a S5, on the sticker under the battery there is information that it is the G900F model, while in Download mode I have information that it is G900A. I know the sticker is most likely not genuine.
After the purchase, the phone had the software in a multilingual version, G900FXXU4BOK4 versions to be exact. There was no rubbish in it, it looked like a clean rom. It was android 5.1 Lolipop and I needed Android 6 for a certain application so I updated it to G900AUCS4DQD1. Unfortunately, this software has no Polish language and is full of garbage from AT&T.
I would like to go back to the previous software, but nowhere I can even find information about what soft it was. The G900FXXU4BOK4 version does not seem to exist. How did I previously have versions for the G900F on this phone?

KH2 vs KH5 changes?

Since the official Mango has been released yesterday, there is finally a new version available. Since i've installed the developer release, i didn't got the update but i thought that since the version number was the same, i didn't miss anything.
Lately i've found more sources that claim that some firmware versions have been updated so i'm wondering if i should update to the official version.
I've also seen that the official mango release is stated as the KH5 version, opposed to the KH2 version i'm currently running right now and was the developer release.
So mainly my question is: what are the big differenses between the official mango release (KH5) and my developer release (KH2)?
With the new firmware versions now available: has batterytime improved? I find the current batterytime (1 day and 8 or 16 hours) a bit low, so i'm hoping that power management has been improved?
And lastly: i've updated to the developer release including the CSC that came with it. At the time (flashing) i didn't realise it would mess up my provider information. I got rid of most of the branding, but the boot up and default search provider remain T-Mobile (German) which is somewhat annoying. What CSC do i need to download/use in order to get back to my original unbranded T-Mobile Dutch version i bought in the shop? I cannot seem to find one that, i think, is what i need, namely a XEN-type CSC.

[Q] Please ID this Galaxy Note for me

I came into possession of a Samsung Galaxy Note from a relative visiting from China which my wife wanted to flash to English ROM for use in the States. However, this seem to be a model specifically designed for the Chinese market. It has PDA firmware i889FA06 and build date of Jan 6, 2012. This is NOT the i889 CDMA PDA phone, but an actual Galaxy Note with i889 firmware (not sure why?). It supports CDMA and GSM, with the following information in the about section:
Model Number: SCH-i889
Android version: 2.3.6
Baseband: i889FA06
Kernel: 2.6.35.7-CL872127 [email protected] #2
Build number: Gingerbread.FA06
Quick search of the Galaxy Note i889 lands me in all sorts of Chinese sites, but nowhere can I find any information on how to flash with a ROM made for western world.
Is this even possible? Or is the hardware different enough that only the stock ROM will work?
Any suggestions are much appreciated!

I dont know of any official NOTE that supports both CDMA and GSM my friend. I believe you have been given one of the fake Chinese handsets and it has been passed off to you as an official NOTE.
What makes you say that it is a real NOTE?
This was purchased from one of the major Chinese carriers which is loaded with their branded firmware, not through some mom&pop shop on the street. Plus the quality of the handset is high, I doubt the clone sets can achieve the same quality, both the material and the OLED display. Here are some spec I found:
http://pdadb.net/index.php?m=specs&id=3343&c=samsung_sch-i889_galaxy_note
But still no sign of any firmware that can be flashed to this unit...
the n7000 have arm cpu while this one has Exynos cpu just like the att version. i think your phone is locked to china mobile. it could be a korean or a chinese version
For the love of God, just paste SCH-i889 into Google and you'll get all the info you need.
Really? I goggled several times and still didn't see anything about flashing it with a western firmware...

For the record, att version doesn't have exynos. It has snapdragon.

This is probably the "other" international version like the n7000. There are two international versions of the Note and there is the ATT version. I don't know about firmware though becasue I don't remember seeing a thread for this model on XDA.
i believe that is the china version of galaxy note. ( mr google tells me that )
unfortunately i cant find your device in www.sammobile.com
come across this website for roms and stuff

Can You upload baseband or firmware SCH I889 ?

Original android version of my N910C

I've just bought my phone which manufactured one month before in Venezuela.
My pre-installed android version was originally 5.0.1
I'm not sure if it got updated by another user or there is nothing to worry about since manufacturers normally install the latest released firmware.
Please advise...

Install EMUI 5 on EVA L09C521B140

As the title says, how can I install the android 7 OTA on my P9 EVA L09C521B140? In the post http://forum.xda-developers.com/p9/development/rom-stock-rom-eva-l19c636b168-t3419586
I saw that the OTA for NXT-L09C521B140, it serves me the same? In what changes?
Thank you very much
I'm interested in this as well. I'm assuming you're interested in unbranding your phone as I am? Got it from a carrier, right?
If you find out anything regarding this please do let me know.

That post is old and it hasnt been updated it ages, if you want to know the latest firmware for your C521, best to download an app called Firmware Finder and check in there, B361 is the official released Android 7 firmware.

Hi, thanks for replying.
This is only the second day I have this new phone. I got it from my carrier so it has their brand at boot, the crappy bloatware they tend to put etc.
What I would like to do (at least until the devs manage to release a stable CM version for the phone) I'd like to get the OFFICIAL stock rom (unbranded, like bought from a store)
Could you point me somewhere where I could find how to do it, where to start etc? I'm all for learning myself but a start-point would be nice.
If I'm not mistaken, the model is EVA-L09 so C521 would be the variant? and B140 the firmware version, correct? And what's with the "cust" version at the bottom? carriers firmware?
Also, I've been reading and apparently NOUGAT is still in beta for these phones? So I guess I'd like to update to latest MM, and then update whenever they decide to release OTA.
Thanks in advance.
EDIT* TL;DR, Basically, I want to unbrand the phone. Remove my carriers bloatware. Just like a store bought phone.

If you look through the guide section of this forum, you will find what you been looking for. If you are looking at debranding and getting on to Nougat, you can follow this guide. Also, Nougat (EMUI 5.0) is now being officially rolling out but at a very slow pace.

Firmware and csc question

Hello everyone I live in th u.s. and use my a71 on att. I bought my phone at rent a center and it has buc1 firmware and the csc is TTT (Trinidad and tobago). I would like to install a custom rom because I recently rooted and the smartview feature which I use often isn't working right and none of the fixes are either. My question is this: which firmware should I install to get a clean slate and possibly try a custom rom? Not sure why a phone in the US was sold with Trinidad firmware. I would prefer not to flash the stock ttt firmware if possible is there a better option? Thanks guys
hi friend, I have been almost in same situation (different country) and i would like to share with you my experience maybe it will help if you are still looking. some options / features included in the ROM / OS depend on where the device was sold or aimed to be sold initially by Samsung, for example 2 phones same model, same tech specs, same android version, if one is old in Europe with a certain firmware, it may not have same all options / features as same one sold in US or elsewhere .... i bought a device sold initially in Italy and couldn't find samsung pay or fm radio app in it (even that device does support it from hardware side) and not possible to install it as third-partie app either in anyway possible, and it didnt show up even with a custom ROM .... so i did some dig in and found THAILAND firmware for same android version have it by default + others things i was looking for such as native call recording .... basically long story short, as longer you already rooted it, we can forget about warranty, which should gives you more freedom to install wharever you want ... a custom rom is specially to enhance perf by removing some apps and adding some more features that arents includeed in stock firmware ... but if you are okay with basic stock firmware and all its apps and contenents you don't have to install ncessarry a custom rom ... you can juts look for a specific firmware REGION/COUNTRY that have the option you are looking for and go fo it, like i did from Italy to Thailand (while im living in whole different country of those two), and all will be working fine for you ^^
