Question Weird battery life - Xiaomi 11T Pro

Hello everyone,
currently I am using the phone with the stable ROM 13.0.4 from xiaomi.eu
Recently I noticed that either my battery or the battery indicator of the phone is acting very strange.
When I charge the phone up to 100% it stays like that for almost an entire day, the second day it drops down to 85% and on the third day it rapidly decays down until it almost reaches 30%.
This seemed a little of to me so I researched the problem and tried the following solutions:
Calibrate the phones battery (I let it charge from 20% to 100% instead of from 0% to 100% though because I dont want to damage my battery too much)
I followed this tutorial from xiaomi.eu
In addition to that I was never using the 120W charger at all.
Do you have any further ideas what I could try to make the battery work better?

Thanks for your reply, I have two questions regarding that.
1. How do I install the update? I ve seen the terms Mi Flash Tool, TWRP etc.
2. Will that reset my entire device?

If you don't have twrp installed, install it, or update it.

Use Magisk app.

The Magisk app got removed from the TWRP flashing process.
If I install the app again it seems like the root permissions are gone:
So in theory I should be save to install the new update now, right?

Alright thank you, everything worked fine and the system is now updated and rooted.
The question that still remains is whether this will help with the battery drain or not

I'm updating without removing magisk before and everything works fine.
Reboot to twrp, flash update.zip, flash magisk.zip and then youre good to go. Even with lockscreen pin works in twrp.
I use these modules for better battery life: universal gms doze & uperf.

I can't read that too, but someone listed it for saving battery and I tested/installed it.
In combination with gms doze, i think the battery lasts longer, but overall it could be better. Don't know if there is more to save with other modules or apps.

Seven days ago i bought new xiaomi 11T pro. mine also xiaomi 11T pro very wrost battery backup. 120 watt charging time 25 minute. 33 watt charging time 1 hrs. How to increase battery backup without root. I also done battery callibrate two times.

Random boots and sudden steep battery drops

Guys, I have a serious problem. First, look at the pictures:

So what happened (and keeps happening):
Phone randomly boots whether I am on 3G or WiFi. Also, it boots when the phone is challenged to open a webpage, load an image or an app wants a bit more processing power. When it boots after the crash the battery hits 0! So it gets stuck in a boot loop because it thinks there is no battery juice left. The only way to successfully boot is to plug in the charger. So, I am royally screwed if when this happens outside.
I am currently running Slimkat 8.12.1 and I tried Maclaw's Carbon (20141119 release)...same problem! Is the battery dying one me? (My S3 Mini is 1 year old) If so, I will immediately buy one if this is gonna solve the problem. Because my phone right now is pretty much useless and super unstable.
PS: I also have super steep battery drain issue. I wake the phone to check an email and browse for a bit...and BLAM! it hits the bottom! see:
also people with an s3 mini older than a year, how is your battery health?
anyone else having the same problem?

I have this phone for about 15 months and i'm on Slimkat (by Android-Andi) for 6 months with no problem with the battery until now. I suggest to replace your battery to fix the random reboots. After that a new clean install of the Slimkat (or the rom of your choice) can help. Now if you want to see what drains your battery install the BetterBatteryStats or the Wakelock Detector. The Greenify helps also after. I hope that all these can help you.

I'm facing the same problem, though i have 920CD i flashed latest 920C firmware.
Overnight i lose 20% battery in span of 7 hrs. I guess u have to flash custom kernel then it iwll hlep.
This is what I posted in another thread for someone having high Android OS battery issues (he found out it was actually Google play services keeping device awake). http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?p=63020566
There is also a battery saving tips thread in the at&t general section with some good things to try.

If it is not an app causing this, then if you are rooted, you will require a custom kernel compiled with the appropriate patch to fix. My own SkyHigh kernel has this fix, but will (currently) randomly reboot during call. Haven't yet the time or opportunity until end of this week to fix that though
thanks for reply

It is very strange that your doesn't sleep. I test my device N920C if it sleeps. I charged my phone yesterday evening at 19:00 and let it untouched until today at almost 12:00! To my surprise the phone has lost only 4% (96%)!

just flashed your updated kernel and PROBLEM IS THAT IN DISPLY SETTINGS WHEN I TURN ON AMOLED CINEMA SOMETHING HAPENDS WITH COLORS , IT'S LIKE BROKEN SCREEN

Magisk manager/app refuse to open after *recent* update.

Hey so I realized that Magisk won't open after update v22 if im not mistaken. It just opens, asks to do a "full installation", when I press ok it does some stuff in the background and closes asking to restart the app over and over. I'm confused why this happens as Magisk has worked previously.

goto magisk github and download magisk v22 apk manually then install it usually when that error box show it open google chrome but on your case it didn't ...
oh upon reinstalling it, it seems like the app "works" now for the most part but I have a new issue. I have lost root access and can't manage to get it working back. I flashed the apk in my recovery as the instruction said, according to twrp logs everything installed properly (didnt exit with any error codes) and after I rebooted my phone Magisks detected the installed state as N/A.
Any idea why?

Solving the same issue as OP right now. Can't see about disabling magisk hide in the changelog, am I at the right page? https://topjohnwu.github.io/Magisk/changes.html
EDIT: nevermind, found it: https://topjohnwu.github.io/Magisk/releases/22000.html
Anyway is there a way how to disable Magisk Hide without Magisk Manager?
Hello I have the same problem. I Updated magisk to 23.0 without disabling the hide magisk. Root seems to be lost , NA indicated in magisk. Magisk manager no more available. I can't see any magisk manager installed anywere. I did you succeed to remove one magisk manager ? Using which tool ? I use a redmi note 9 pro
A bit of a necro, so I won't tag the OP, but when something is resolved, you can either Edit the OP, or choose the three-dots in the upper-right corner of the OP, and choose Edit, and then add the tag:
[SOLVED]
in front of the current thread title.
The poster can additionally Report the OP and ask that the thread be closed, if necessary.

Edit: can confirm that memory extension is turned on by default, i turned it off and it required a restart.
In battery settings, there is a new performance mode. Haven't tried yet.

Can confirm this option is placebo and useless (because i have this option from the first CN release)
Some users feedback Memory extension causing lags.
And optimization are in fact a big underclock (for fix heat issues).

Memory extension is probably just a type of swap memory, and since storage flash memory is slower than RAM, when it is in use you can expect lags.

I am talking about the performance mode. That's odd... Maybe by region or language blocked...

Just updated with your guide. No issues !
One thing to note for the benefit of others: when you reboot for the first time after update and magisk install, the booting time can last a few minutes. You will see the MI logo and 3 dots with running lights at the bottom during this process. Normal.
Also if you have AFWall+ and / or ad blockers like Adaway setup to block your phone from accessing Xiaomi servers, this method will fail because it tries to verify the .zip file by connecting to Xiaomi. So you have to turn off these protections. This to me is actually a little less than ideal, so maybe next time I will see if I can install via fastboot / recovery or something like that.
Of course if this is not a concern, then the guide is still an easy and straightforward way of updating your MIUI. Thanks again to Pho3nX
Strange, it just appeared
My battery life is now very bad with this update...4hrs sot max instead of 7hrs that i used to have. I debloated the phone and disabled everthing.
Today I received the 12.5.7.0 update.

Fingerprint project elixir A12 not working but very nice, omg so smooth. It's like after upgrading to a12 my machine is squeezing performance and this kernel makes it super smooth like A9
installed on a11 pixel experience and over night my phone was found shut off and i can't turn it on anymore, it's literally dead. Help?

Do a force reboot ( hold power button for 10 seconds ). And about that freeze bug I am still trying to fix it.

Hello, does it let you enter fastboot mode by pressing volume (-) less and power?
If you can enter fastboot mode, I think you should install a Miui rom for fastboot and you can recover the phone.

it has 80% battery, when i put it in the charger it does absolutely nothing. just a black screen.
I have been using this kernel for 2 days and have a very serious problem with this kernel, every time I restart my phone it stays on the black screen for a long time, about 8 9s and the longest it takes about 20s, then it shows the MI logo. I tried to install 1 China rom and 1 EU dev version but my problem only solved when i flashed them all again with miflash
I am using this kernel for 3 days without any issues in crDroid.
Thank you sir for your work I will definitely give it a try but I just wanna verify with you , does this kernel support the system to read bigger battery size than 3300 mah ??
In android 9 or 10 it was supported by MrAkash but for now I tried many AOSP roms and all of them are reading onl 3300 in system and in Fk kernel manager while my battery is 4200mah and many people are using 4000 also
Thank you so much if you add this option I would really appreciate it

Hello, could you solve it and how?
The same has happened to me with my Xiaomi Mi9.
My Xiaomi Mi 9 has remained as dead and now it does not go into recovery mode and neither in fastboot mode, I connect it to the computer and it recognizes it but I cannot access the bootloader mode to be able to install a rom for fastboot and it gives me an error when it does not recognize it.
If I connect it to the charger it does nothing at all ...
Could it be that the battery has died?
Could someone help me see if I can fix it or nothing can be done?
Thank you anyway
