Hi, Has anyone ordered a screen protector for the Pixel 7 yet?
If so where from?
I ordered these: Here
Yeh, those look like good screen protectors! Cheers

Got my pixel 7 today and these protectors. I'm having some issues with my fingerprint not registering 60% of the time. It also took forever to get fingerprints registered since it kept failing. I haven't tried it without the screen protector though. Let me know if you have any issues too.
I've always had a good experience with Spigen Glas.tR.

Interesting. Yeah, it's really finicky for me. I did register the fingerprints with the protector already on.
I am going to try these, as they have the hydro/oleophobic coating...

Small update on my predicament. The sensor seems to be working fine now. Earlier, my hands were dry. After warming them up and using moisturizer, it has been reading prints easily. Though, I've never had this issue with other devices.

I put an "IQ Shield" Matte protector on my 7 last night and have so far had about 98% fingerprint success on the first time with faster than I expected response. It was a "wet" install, but went on nicely without bubbles or dust, and I love not having a glossy screen reflecting the overhead lights back into my eyeballs.
I did wait to register fingerprints until I had the protector in place.
Only issue is that I ordered from Amazon and they shipped me a 1-pack. The listing and photo on Amazon showed a photo of the box stating "2-pack" and the listing title also said "2-pack". I contacted the seller via Amazon and they first tried to tell me that I ordered a 1-pack but that the lifetime replacement warranty would allow me to get a replacement if I had an issue with the install or edges peeling.
So I sent them a screenshot of the listing showing that I had "previously ordered" it and that both the photo and title clearly stated it was a 2-pack. Then they told me they had some type of packaging and shipping error, and would send me a replacement 2-pack order, so at least there's that.
I would recommend the screen protector so far, based on the install process and final result. Hopefully it will hold up well and provide good protection. (Have used similar ones on other phones and tablets in the past, though it seems it's getting harder to find matte options these days.)
Anyone using skinomi? I like the antiglare version I have for my v30, wondering if the pixel version gets in the way of the fingerprint scanner.
The following seems to work quite well with the FP sensor - https://smile.amazon.co.uk/gp/product/B088H7BPBQ.
However, despite being an old hand at fitting SPs, I really struggled to fit without any bubbles...
I have had to order a 2nd pack because I had to lift the corner one too many times to remove all bubbles - which I finally managed to do - but now the corner won't stay stuck down!
I should point out I did not register my FPs until I had applied the SP. All worked well, until I had to install a security update, and then suddenly all FPs failed again - just would not work. Had to re-register and I now see a 80% hit rate for the past two days.
Stay away this on Amazon. It's for a Pixel 6. All they did was list it as fitting a Pixel 7 and threw on a sticker over the old pixel 6 sticker. Had to send back.
https://www.amazon.com/dp/B09YRP2MQ3
I snagged these a few days before my phone arrived (and before there were any reviews), this way I could put a protector on as soon as I took the phone out of the box. Unfortunately, I got what I paid for. The protectors don't cover the entire screen and the fingerprint sensor works maybe 40% of the time. Stay away from them.
I went with the same screen protectors I've used since my Pixel 3XL. They're made by LK and are as good of quality as any other screen protector I've tried. Reason I stick with them is they offer a lifetime warranty. Literally anytime I've broken one, I take a photo of it and email it to their customer service and they send me a coupon for another full replacement order. Basically I buy one package and have a lifetime supply of replacements for no additional cost. Pretty impossible to argue against that and the process has always been extremely straightforward and reliable. Worth looking at in my opinion.

I receive my Pixel 7 tomorrow so I'll report back as soon as I get it and the screen protectors. If you look at the Amazon link they even suggest setting the "Increase touch sensitivity" option in settings. At this point I'd say it's safe to assume all screen protectors for the 7/7 Pro might suffer from this fingerprint issue/fingerprint unreliability.
I haven't ordered mine yet but I saved these potential screen protectors in amazon cart before deciding which to buy. I'm also lost on which screen protector is worth getting for pixel 7.

I kinda like the liquid UV light types of screen protectors when watching youtube videos, i see that these offer a very high transparency compared to adhesive screen protectors. I am wondering if there are any either on amazon or not on amazon worth getting. Let me know your thoughts!

No issues with Fingerprint reader.
Also all tempered glasses have eventually broken for me and the film over time just wears out (not smooth anymore) so neither is perfect.
I didn't Increase touch sensitivity. it's already good.

Okay, I am going to be super honest here.
I've tried several screen protector for my HD2 since I gotten it. Possibly 7 total different ones now. Bought from ebay, HTC official, etc. They are all crap!
Today has been the day that I am settling for the best screen protector I've found - and would HIGHLY (with 100%) recommend this screen protector to anyone in a heart beat.
The Vikuiti (TM) DQC-160
http://www.protectionfilms24.com/article/vikuiti-dqc-160-screen-protector-htc-hd2-28087.html
I am from the US, I bought the protector on Sunday and I received them in the mail today, Thursday. Super fast shipping overseas!
1) Very easy to apply. Easy clean up!
2) No need to apply after a hot steamy bath. It really resists dusts during application.
3) Highly cut to precision! I love this! It also cover the entire glass in front! Even the bottom glass under the buttons!
4) The feel of it is just amazing! It feels like its not even there! I feels like I am touching glass! No friction whatsoever. *Note that I am not exaggerating here.
5) Very transparent. I can not tell its even on. And my Front sensors are not affected by this protector in any way.
I am posting pictures. See below. Ask questions away.

thank you for sharing this information.
Maybe you could briefly outline what the advantages of a screen protector for a hd2 are. I'm not too familiar with the device yet, but i thought the display is glass. I saw videos where people tried to scratch the surface with keys and knifes but didn't succeed.
Thank you!
I'll help... just google for capacitive screen and notice, that top coat is not glass. it can be scratched, just not as easy as resistive one.
Martin Fields... awesome...
wow it looks good...
it even has that part that protects the part under the buttons unlike mine...
nice keyboard.
I should be receiving mine today!
I originally ordered some cheaper ones, which are awful! It's like you have to apply them in an air tight room, and the edges never stay stuck.
I heard good things about the mentioned protector so I ordered one.
Thanks for posting the photos and positive review!
Ordered mine as well.
Hope no dust or loose edges this time.
Thanks for the tip.
Definitely will order this, thanks
Installing ?
Hi,
I'm having some trouble installing - any hints ?
I agree though - The Vikuiti (TM) DQC-160 is by far the best screenprotecor.

Fit on flush screen?
lemonspeakers- Just wanted to know how the DQC-160 fits on the flush screen of the HD2? I was a little concerned that the 160 was a "ridgid" type of SP and thus a little thicker. I just installed a protectionfilms24 SP on my Canon A590 and was worried it may be to high for the HD2 flush screen. I will be getting my HD2 from TMobile US March 24th. Thanks
Greaaaaaaaat, thank you very much for sharing! I have been looking for a good protector for very long, but there are so much different opinions about it, but this sounds really great!
Although I have one question, it covers the " sensor " next to the " speaker " of the phone (you know when you talk with somebody and I mean the speaker of which you hear the person talking to you), and I have read somewhere on this forum, it shouldn't do that!
Could anybody confirm/disconfirm this?

Read my first post. This SP is highly transparent but smooth as glass. It won't interfere with the proximity and lighting sensors. Already tested under different conditions. It works as if it was never there.
I also forgot to mention, the SP is a little thick. That just goes to show that this is not some cheap material they are using- mind you.

Again, read first post. This was highly cut to precision. The only hard part I had was getting the bottom and sides to line up perfectly (I am a bit anal) because its highly precised cut. *You don't want your screen protector running off the side of your device now do you?
i just ordered mine not too long ago, for the North Americans like me its around $12.00 USD.
so as of now im just patiently waiting for the screen protector to come in. i will try to post up a video on youtube regarding said protector, most likely it will be posted in this thread after i made the video. till then.. Adios!!
Got mine today. Soooo much better than the cheap ones you buy on eBay
I have a doubt: can you take it off, wash it an put it back on again, or is it a one time application?
Thanks
I have the opportunity to get this for "free."
How is it WRT:
1. Fingerprints and skin oil smudges
2. Sunlight and glare
If it came with a rear camera protector as well, like my Martin Fields kit for the n95, I would buy it.
For now, I'll stick with the screen protector that came with my maximum protection invisible shield.

Yes you can reapply. I've done it and it works. Just make sure to air dry it b4 you put it back on.
I would h ave to agree with you. I got the invisible shield thinking it was the best possible product and in ways it is great. It does not seem as if the edges will start to come up and I think it provides preimum protection but it does ruin the feel of the device plus I had a terrible time applying it since it was my first time using this product on a device. Once it tried I have some horrible streaks underneath and I am afraid to pull it up and try again. So I might give this one a shot.
I have LETV X800 US version. Drop from 1.5 cracked the glass really nice (see attachment). I am thinking to order screen replacement from here: http://www.vopmart.com/pa1013251.html or here: http://s.aliexpress.com/iemyi2Yz
Do you think it is compatible with my US version of the phone.
I guess it should work on both CN & US but I need to ask before ordering.

I also have the same problem.
Hi
Did you find a solution to your problem ? I also have the same and I do not find the necessary help.
Thank you for your answer
In my reading the screen replacement should work on both US and CN versions....
The screen of this phone is subpar to current phone standards. Mine cracked when dropped at 30 cm from tiled floor after 3 months of use! The phone was house into its original silicone transparent protection, with a glass protection on top! The glass protection didn't brake, only the screen underneath did. I had it replaced for the equivalent of 30 euros in China in a general phone fixing shop, and made clear I did not want an original replacement. They guy came up with a good quality screen, slightly thicker than the original. I have used it without problems for 8 months now. It withstood about 4 falls from 1 meter each, but I keep the phone housed in a metal frame protection since then. The original case is bad since it doesn't protect the phone all around as it should.
I bought the screen from vopmart.
Price is ok, delivery was fast (less than a week to Germany).
Disassembly of screen was actually easier than in the videos, works pretty well.
The BIG problem was (which I did not really realize or ignore until then)...the vopmart screen replacement did NOT come with the adhesive to glue the screen to the phone.
Since I was impatient and wanted to use the phone right away, I used some own tape and glue and damaged the screen in the process.
Bottom line:
- Screen replacement is relatively simple and screen is not too expensive
- make sure you double check that the adhesive is included in the screen you order or order separately, otherwise you will not be able to replace the screen
- I second what the previous poster said....my phone fell from about 70cm and the screen was cracked pretty badly, previous phones did survive this
I bought a Xiaomi phone now. I hope/think build quality is a bit better and, more importantly, you are not stuck with Android 5...
I'm planning to order screen on Aliexpress. I want to ask you that, is your screen's colors or quality worse than original? I'm not asking for durability, just asking for quality.

I think it is about the same as the original. I am not 100% sure though since I destroyed it a little during the replacement. And I believe the color quality from the original one is not great to start with anyway.

So I have ordered both and have the heat gun, and the pry tools, so technically if I am not a gimp I should be able to complete this successfully.
I am just again slightly confused because some videos recommend removing the back cover and the getting to the front by doing a full disassembly whilst others recommend removing the glass directly.
Has anyone tried both methods? I would understand if you were replacing the battery also but...
Thank you in advance.
I have only tried the "front" method, so just removed the glass from the front. I found this to be pretty easy. I did this with a Sony Xperia phone before and I must say the letv was much easier.
I can recommend removing the glass from the front.
Which one is the front method? What and where did you buy to repair it?

I think you use a heat gun to warm it up and then use a suction cup to loosen it then use a razor blade to cut away the glue/sticker and slowly pry it apart.
Then you detach it, attach the new one apply the sticker and then reseal.

Hello everybody,
The son of my friend break his screen (LeTV one Pro = LeEco x800 Pro).
He bought a replacement screen, but there is no sticker to fix the screen. It's hard to find this part alone.
Can you give me an idea to solve this problem?
Regards.

Here is my review of the official OnePlus 3 Tempered Glass Screen Protector (3/3T) direct from OnePlus AND after about six weeks of usage. This screen protector has some huge pro's and some huge con's and I find I can't seem to say something positive without turning around and saying something negative. So I'll just jump right in and say it is the strongest screen protector I have ever used out of over 15 devices I've owned. BUT this strength means that it the phone is heavier by 12 grams, thicker by .6mm and can interfere with some phone cases due to its edge to edge size. I had to buy another phone case because my thin one kept pushing against the screen protector and injecting air bubbles. ARGH!
When applying the screen protector the black/white border, depending upon the color of protector you purchased, pretty much hides any air bubbles you might normally get with other screen protectors. BUT the black/white border also cuts off the right and left-hand side of the screen to where your text gets cut off (see image below for an example). Due to the thickness the fingerprint scanner is also recessed making scanning your fingerprint odd and a little less accurate. I found that I actually get more fingerprint scan errors.
The oleophobic coating makes sliding your finger across the screen a delight. Even my Pixel XL wielding friend had to agree that it was nice. The edge to edge protector visually is the best looking protector I have used which is another plus. Listed below is a quick summary of my Pro's and Con's.
The screen protector is great in these areas:
Fingerprint and smudge resistant
Finger glides VERY smoothly
Covers most everything edge to edge
Cut outs for front camera, speaker and fingerprint scanner
Very strong
The screen protector is not so great in these areas:
Cuts off the left-hand and right-hand side of the screen
Heavy in that it adds 12 grams to the 158 grams of the phone
Thick in that it adds .6mm to the 7.35mm of the phone
Isn't compatible with some phone cases (too wide, I had to buy a different case)
The thickness makes it strange on the finger print scanner area
Costly compared to most screen protectors
In summary I am removing my screen protector after six weeks of usage. I do wish I could get my money back but in the end it protected my phone well during that time. But every time I read an article where the first letter of every line was hidden I was reminded how much this thing frustrated me. When I realized my phone case was larger than I wanted, because I had to find an alternative case, I was reminded once again of how much this thing frustrated me. When I try to unlock my phone via the fingerprint scanner but get a read error due to the added depth of the screen protector, I am reminded, well you get the idea.
I'm sure others will, or do, love the OP3 screen protector from OP but it's just not for me.
Pretty much my same experience. Only bought it because I thought they had fixed their problems when they put it back on their site. LOL, no. They did not. I'm only keeping it on because I don't want to spend money on another screen protector.
The only time I notice the edges is on select websites. It usually isn't an issue
My big issue is that I ordered 2 and they only sent 1. They don't want to fix the issue. I've been back and forth going on 3 weeks now. I requested they check shipping weight, since it departed from their facility. They keep saying the same stuff over and over, telling me they aren't going to open an investigation. I've let them know I'd be sharing my experience. I like the products I receive, but I can't support a company that steals from its customers, and this one stole $20 from me.

I can appreciate that it isn't so noticeable on most websites. For me the image I had attached of the cut off screen is from an app that I use daily so I see the flaw every day. Also now that I have taken the screen protector off the phone the display is noticeably wider. I feel I have a wider phone even though it's probably just a few mm different.
This is a very important feedback as I was planning to buy the same under the impression that it should be perfect as made & sold by OnePlus directly. Now I will think twice before ordering one. thanks for the review.

Hum... of course it's a question of taste. I've the transparent Orzly but I dont use it. The phone is fat and the rubber contact it's not sexy I think.
Of course it is a personal choice. I'm using Spigen black case since I bought OP3. May not be the best out there but I kinda like it. Now I'm looking for a transparent case that won't turn yellowish or change colour in time.
Hmm, can you link one site that you can not see those letters you wrote?
I really dont see any problem, on any site or app I use, only in recovery, but that is very rare, and I dont mind that.
I would like you send me the link because I want to see are there maybe some v2 I have that is better than yours, I'm really happy with mine, its perfect.

This is not a website but rather an app called "ip cam viewer". But that is just one aspect of the items that I dislike about the screen protector. There's the weight, the width/height of it, the thickness and the cost. There are positives too but I believe I listed my perspective on the pro's and con's.
Honestly, everything that you view on your screen is being cut off with this protector. It's just how much of the readable space is being lost. I tell you now that I have the cover off my screen is wider. It's like a have a new phone.

I couldn't agree with this more. But sometimes when your girl is wearing bootyshorts and a low cut shirt and it's 0° you gotta get her to cover up or shell get sick and die. ???

I agree, but ... WTF ?! you know my girlfriend ?!
The protector cutting off pixels at the edges of the screen would be a, "deal breaker," for me. :crying:
Thanks for the review Munk0. :highfive:
Thanks for review. It seems good. I hesitated to buy one these days.

Of course it is a personal choice. I'm using Spigen black case since I bought OP3. May not be the best out there but I kinda like it. Now I'm looking for a transparent case that won't turn yellowish or change colour in time.

What about clear version? Smoke black probably won't turn yellow because of its color. The base part is made with a fiber-like material in both clear & smoke black types and therefore it will also won't turn yellowish.
If anyone is having issues registering fingerprints with the dome protector... you need to press fairly hard to get it to register. You also have to register each finger twice. Once it's done it seems to be okay with reading the fingerprint.
this is common with their stuff. same thing on the s20 ultra i had.. think im going to run no temp glass for now. i dont like having to press so hard i think ima break my ****
I haven't installed my Dome screen protector yet, but I don't do the fingerprint thing either so I am not sure.
Even pressing hard and registering each finger twice, it still sucks. Optical fps on my OP7P was way faster (with dome as well).
I should have used the fps prior to installing so I knew how good it was before. I'm torn between ease of use but no extra protection and dealing with a **** fps.
Hmmm mine is just fine. I don't have to press hard at all. The way I register my prints...I alternate left and right different positions for all 4 entries.

I just got mine installed today. This is the first inscreen fingerprint reader I've used. To be honest I'm not a fan. But seems to be the same pain to me lol. I'll take it over the power button fingerprint reader any day. But I've always been impressed with whitestone since the note 8/ s8. The fit on the 20 ultra is much nicer. They have definitely progressed with fitment. Not to mention i got 2 screen protectors and 2 camera protectors for $65 from their website. Worked out great since I upgraded along with my wife.

WSD installed on my Ultra for about 4 days now and the fingerprint scanner is definitely impacted with the glass on.
FPS was real snappy and quick without the WSD glass.
Interesting....I have WSD to install on my Note20U but might hold off. Anyone know why it's crap? Ran it on my OP7P and OP8P with IDFPS just fine the whole time. Why is the Samsung reader different? Anyone know?
I've installed whitedome today and while i agree fingerprint scanner is not as snappy, at least in my case it still works pretty good. I've increased touch sensitivity too. Quite happy with the purchase

I've installed Whitestone last week and finger scanner is definitely not reliable anymore. The glass clarity is great though..
No issues here at all have the Whitestone Dome and the Camera Whitestone on my AT&T Note20 Ultra 5G 512GB, With the UAG Monarch case on which Dome is compatibly with, Also barely have to press the screen fingerprint is very fast , works 120% for me.

I find that the fingerprint scanner works better if your thumb is slightly damp
Once fingerprints are setup I haven't had any problems. Setting them up was the pain. Setting them up was not a issue before the install. Whitestone recommends setting up new fingerprints after the install but I'm starting to believe setting them up before the install is the better solution.

I second this. I had my fingerprints setup, but I didn't use a WD protector. I have no trouble using my fps after installing it. I tried adding my other thumb and it was a pita. Doing that thumb twice I have not had trouble unlocking the device with that thumb.

The Samsung reader is different technology. The OP fingerprint scanners are optical while the Samsung ones are ultrasonic...
So just put my WD on today, also noticed there was a pamphlet inside it telling me to turn the touch sensitivity up. By doing so it works, but yeah you have to push. I found you have to push harder even before the WD was on the phone too compared to like the OnePlus phones, they really have a better fingerprint sensor
For now, have face unlock and FP turned on....
Another issue, Lastpass does NOT want to read my FP at all after the install I kept my previous fingerprints and added them again too...so it works if I press.........just odd.

I don't believe pressing firmly is the issue. I think it's the LOCA or whatever it's called. I took the perspective of and have no issues now. I may try a dry application screen protector soon.
Mine went well
And working.
I fked up the buttom you can't see unless screen is off
I'm gonna request a replacement lol
White stone customer service is trash. Still waiting for them to send my warranty replacement i order 2 weeks ago. Smh
(Weirdest) Pro Tip: Lick your finger.
I'm sure there's some solid scientific reason why it works (and I assume it has something to do with a wet finger providing more optically-friendly moisture for the FPS light to bounce around in), but seriously...licking your finger works.
I fought for 15 minutes and a reboot trying to reregister my thumbprint, and it kept telling me to "Press a little harder," or "Make sure your finger is covering the entire area," or just not doing anything at all. I wondered if my screen was dirty, so I wiped it down with my comforter (because I was in bed at the time) - nothing. Wiped my finger down thinking it was the issue - nothing. Wondered if my finger wasn't quite clean enough still, so I licked it (yeah, gross, I know, but don't judge me lol) and wiped it off. I noticed my finger was a little tackier when put it to the screen (which makes sense as saliva isn't necessarily "slick" like water), and BOOM! the reader started picking my finger up consistently every time I put it down over the scanner.
Isn't technology grand?
So I bought display glass protectors that included protectors for the camera aswell.
Before applying the screen protector I noticed the factory installed screen protector. It was just barely visible and I had to google if this was a protector and that I do not break anything by removing it
So back to the camera protector. I can't really tell if there is a camera protector installed already. I couldn't find anything regarding this.
Does anybody know? I don't wanna break anything by trying to remove something that isn't there.
Thanks in advance
No, buddy, there's no camera protector. Apply it soon. I can't purchase it locally due to crappy market and already dinted. It's so tiny but i know its there. Drives me nuts.
There is indeed a factory installed cam protector just like the Note 10+
Just use a case with a raised guard around it and it will do fine.
After over 1 year there's zero damage to my 10+'s.
You may need to remove the back panel if you need to replace it but so what?
The add on cam protector isn't needed but a good case is for these Notes. They are corner hit happy and one unprotected drop is all it takes.
I too bought a 4 pack of screen protectors that came with 3 camera protectors as well figured why not right? WRONG once installed they make the flash useless as the flash hits the glass and glares out the photo horribly. No matter how perfect you get the cutout for the flash this issues still happens. I had mine on perfectly even used a lighted magnifying inspection glass to verify when I was installing it.
Same issue here. It causes too much glare when using flash
guys, really put something protective on there! loads of people reported that their camera glass broke without any big impact, including me. Samsung only offers a lenghty repair service instead of admitting their mistake. it's annoying and makes my telezoom lense almost unausable in certain light situations.

I had one on the day I got the phone. Didn't make a difference. Camera cracked in two places, people on Samsung Members are complaining about the same thing. Not one drop, not one time set on the table roughly. Broken just 3 days after it arrived.

That's not a good case! Finding a good one tough. You absolutely need a raised guard for the cam and screen.
I use the Zizo Bolt on my 10+, while I don't intentionally test it, it's survive around half a dozen drops onto concrete from 2-3 feet with zero damage.
Nillkin makes a case for the S20FE which has a sliding panel to protect the lens.

I've purchased this on Ali express on HM lucky store.it was not easy to find with the cut out model so you won't get any blurred pictures.

+1, why you would want to use a £500 phone with no case?

You still have to open and a drop while you take pictures with that case won't prevent you could drop it on a small rock with that big size glass. That's why I still prefer a protector strait on the camera. Tomorrow I have to pick up from post office and post picture afterwards with a case.
Ah so I see its just tempered glass with a film to outline the camera lens and flash, clever.
Received today. It's a aluminum Matt Finnish protector. The black is a spigen case and it's still inside the cover.
Nice, doesn't look half bad
