Hey Guys,
I am looking for a way to record all incoming and out bound calls on the note 5. It is obviously simple with a rooted phone but does anyone have any ideas or methods to do this with a non-rooted phone. Would SUPER DUPER appreciate a method.
Thanks
try Call Recorder s5 / s6 by Killer Mobile on play store.
Automatic Call Recroder
For call recording you can use it's function or you may use call recording software... here you can found different solution

Note 5 Call Recording
Wouldn't it be nice if the carriers and manufactures would start offering the experience you get with 3rd party ROMs on rooted phones. Obviously there is built in functionality that allows call recording flawlessly. Now I have the note 5 and have to work around it.
[Enter the long rant about how I hate being locked down by carriers on devices I pay full price for here]
If I can square away a few functionality items that I like without root, I wouldn't need root.
I don't want every feature included in the base rom...
If it can be added with an app on non rooted phones, that is the best buy far.
Then those that don't want it don't have to have it (or the bloat of the feature they won't use), but those who want it can.
I can't decide if it's worth rooting my S10. I usually always rooted my phones (OnePlus 6, Galaxy S7 etc..) but now that it's way more complicated I hesitate a bit. I kind of want to have Substratum back, and also some CSC mods like call recording.
If I root my S10, how are software updates handled? Do I have to flash the whole firmware with Odin and wipe my phone everytime an update releases?
Thanks!
I rooted (magisk) primarily to get Substratum back - just couldnt get use to the whiteness of the third party apps after using a dark theme.
Also EdXposed is picking up momentum and moduls like Gravitybox and Firefds kit are nice addons.
My banking app works with both Magisk and EdXposed. Dont know about the various Pay apps as I dont use them.
I have no regrets and the only draw back I can see is if you live outside Europe then you might void your warranty.
And yes, you have to flash the pre-patched AP, do a Wipe data/ factory reset whenever there is an update but dont see this as a hassel with Titanium Backup in hand.

Is callrecording impossible without root on s10? I already asked and s10 users says yes, it is still possible.

personally i don't even bother with built in dark theme anymore. I think titanium alone worth root. Then you have a tool not a expensive tile that can also call, but again where would i call, useless lol

Rooting (or modifying stock firmware) will trip knox counter, thus voiding your 1yr warranty. My Note 8's mics stopped working after 10 months... Samsung took care of it. I will keep my S10+, and subsequently, my Note 10 unrooted. Not only for repairs, but some say root breaks S Pay enrollment.
Oh, and did you know software status is a check performed by technicians, among other things?
Call recording works great with Cube ACR from playstore without root

Yes with Cube acr from playstore
Cube ACR only works to record your side of the conversation (like all other call recorders) and does not record remote party. There are some recorders that try to record from the microphone but the audio is not clear and has static noise. Google blocked call recording in Android Pie. Hopefully they will allow it in Android Q.
If you have Asia Exynos CSC, call recording will work as Samsung has it enabled in native dialing app.
Hi guys*
I have a note 9 n960f
I've avoided upgrading to android 9 as I use call recording apps which from what I read dont work correctly in android 9. I.e. unable to record both sides of conversations correctly and also unable to grab phone numbers for the calls.*
Would really like to upgrade to android 9 though lol.
Sooo.
If I do. I guess I need to root to get the call recording etc back.*
Then I have the dilemma that I use banking apps. And always use fingerprint login.
Do these still work with root.*
Apps I'm concerned about are metro bank. Wirex. Transferwise. Bsnk of Scotland. SCB bank (Thailand). Izettle. Tesco pay+. Nationwide.
Hi Devs,
Can some devs come together and work on a separate side-load-eable MI DIALER Port for AOSP roms and normal MIUI?
Something really similar to ANXCamera. Xiaomi and many other manufacturers have become really lazy by not providing region specific apps and clubbing all regions in their global apps together.
For example, countries like India, Indonesia other many other SEA countries do not have any legislations about declared call recording (in fact encouraged) but Xiaomi does not provide their very capable Mi Dialer anymore and instead bundles the pathetic Google Dialer.
Google in all it's self righteous glory declares calls are being recorded to both the parties when using it's Google Dialer, without an option to turn it off in countries where it's not mandated (talk about Google being richer than countries and setting it's own regulations).
This doesn't seem like a really difficult thing to do for a couple of capable developers giving it a couple of days and should really be a thing to be taken care of.

I don't think any dev would be interested in doing so. For any reason you need call recording very badly, you can use custom MIUI ROMs like EU, MiMix, Hellas, etc. If that is not your cup of coffee, then use any third-party call recording apps made for AOSP ROMs.
Good luck!
You can flash NikGapps on vanilla aosp builds it's has modified AOSP dilaer which let you enjoy recording feature. beside, You can install module (root needed) to make it happen.
Would sepatare app for call rcording wouldn't work?

Doesn't work. Google has screwed something up where all the playstore apps are redundant. All are only at the mercy of the great Google for their announced call recording using the google-dialer.
Im currently using ACR but other party is very silent in comparison.recordin from within the dialer would be perfect.

Nice! good for rooted chaps. Having said that, there should be a way for the not so technically inclined. I personally, seriously have an aversion towards keeping the root level access to my phone open all the time. There should be something available for lesser mortals like me who choose not to root. Something similar to ANXCamera which just requires a simple flash.
People are underestimating the gravity of the current situation, this new wave of Chinese phones have only started giving these pathetic G-apps, instead of the apps they used to provide, people are having no options other than change phones/roms. I personally know a chap who sold off a brand new phone just because it had the Google Dialer and moved to a pathetic Samsung mid-ranger just for the call-recording functionality.

Samsung Galaxy S21 makes Google Messages app native, but there's a catch
Samsung Messages may still be the default on the new S21 lineup, but Google Messages is now a native app on Samsung's new phones.

Google Messages on the Samsung Galaxy S21 gets a new One UI-inspired design
Google has redesigned its Messages app on the Galaxy S21 to match Samsung's One UI style even more.

Well it's just about the Messages but Phone should follow next.

I'm using true phone dialer with inbuild call recorder and I can recommend the pro
True Phone Dialer & Contacts - Apps on Google Play
Powerful T9 phone and contact manager with dual SIM support and call recorder
play.google.com
Use any vanilla ROM that has call recorder and install gapps, but edit the script so that the aosp dialer is not replaced with Google's. Done.
MIUI Dialer is not only good for recording calls but the UI itself is the best. There is not a single dialer as of now that can beat MIUI dialer's UI and simplicity. If somebody can make it, it'd be great.
