Found com.android.unlock from a all extractor in Sony Xperia 1 ii.
Can it be turned on after root?

not anymore. all xperia older or newer no longer can set face unlock or unlock it with faceunlock, as it using google smartlock, and it has been disable since 2019 and has been remove completely around 2020/2021 update, if you using older xperia with android 8 or older 9(not lasted firmware with android 9) you still can use it by downgrade google play services. then go to security>smart unlock>face unlock. as android 8 and older android 9 firmware still use play services that have face unlock enable. but doing so in 2022 will cause google app to go crazy

I had the same issue but with a different upgrade version and I found the solution online in another forum. What I did was I downloaded an older version of Android Wear from APKMirror and that fixed it after uninstalling my current version and reinstalling the older version. I specifically used version 1.1.1.2113877. Then I factory reset the watch and proceeded as normal with the setup process but with the older version of Wear. After you finish updating and making sure that everything is working, update the Wear app to the latest edition.
Has anyone else noticed their apps updating themselves without the use of the play store? I swear today I saw Facebook and Google play music do it.

they only update if you have the auto update option enabled in the play store. otherwise they do not auto update.
I must have slept too long then and not noticed the new features in GPM. Unless they were features already implemented but not enabled until Google decided to do so. I don't remember tapping search ever opened up a small search box, it was always it took me to a different screen.

I used to get something like that third picture
And now I get this little search box, and the play store doesn't show that it was recently updated.

It's pretty standard for google to implement features weeks or months in advance to "rolling them out" and usually it depends on Google Play Services which auto updates regardless of settings. wouldn't surprise me if Facebook used similar rollout methods
Hi there.
I updated my note 8 from 7.1.1 to 8.0, the base band now is on N950USQU2CQL1, however after update the phone fail a lot, I can''t use the camera zoom , the galaxy apps crashes every time, someone know how can I fix it?.
Note: the original baseband was sm950usqs2bqk2
Did you update via OTA? I mean, that firmware is the latest available for your device?, if that is the case, you can roll back to a previous oreo, take a look at sammobile

Yes via OTA applied from the SD card.
I tried to install the 7.1.1 againg using Odin but always says setup connection
You will not be able to roll back to nougat, you can only install firmwares with equal or higher bootloader versions, the number of the version is the ninth character in the firmware label

Note 8 (N950F), Rooted baseband: N950FXXU4CRG8, Oreo 8.0
Both Google play store and Samsung galaxy app store have their auto update disabled. Also, developer options has system auto update disabled.
Somehow system apps getting updated under the table, I found out thanks to Xprivacy notifications when apps gets updated to new version.
Please help me stop this. Auto updated apps can ruin a good phone with new versions that could force close for no reason or have features removed.

Certain system apps will auto-update, no matter what you do. I've had this happen to me, as well.

Make sure you are on latest firmware; keep trying several times with the official ASUS unlock tool.

If still not working, report it to ASUS technical help online & complain - keep retrying meantime - for most of us unlocking worked on .72 or .99 FW which were the latest FW at that time (perhaps roll back to these FW & try unlock tool again).
