Hello,
i brick my phone while doing a xiaomi update without recovery.
Actually, i'have no longer a Recovery, Fastboot, ...
I'have juste Bootloader and MTK.
I tried to use MTK with SP Flash Tool and Mtk bypass rev4 but no works
On launch flash, my phone has disconected from my pc.
I often have 3 mistakes :
ERROR: STATUS_DEVICE_CTRL_EXCEPTION (0xc0050001)
and
ERROR: STATUS_UNKNOWN_STORAGE_TYPE (0xC0040009)
and
Failed to get PMT info.
Do you know why it does this or do you have another solution to fix my phone?
PS: I'm not English, so sorry if there are any mistakes in my spelling
EDIT :
Have found the probleme, my usb port on the front of my pc don't work correctly,
I tried with the usb port on back of my pc and this WORK !!! (i'm happy )

I know it's been a long while since you had this problem, but as I have to face it myself without any clue how to solve it I thought it was a good idea to recover this thread.
First of all, let me say it happened to me with a Xiaomi mi5s. I had already installed adb & fastboot, as well as Xiaomi drivers from the Xiaomi Unlock Tool.
The problem arose when I made a partial firmware upgrade through fastboot in order to install LOS 14.1 via TWRP. I could not geet into fastboot mode, the screen went completely black and no charging LED. Curiously my laptop (Win10) made a tiny nose everytime I pluged or unplugged it (the same one it does everytime you plug a new device) and saw that it recognised it as a 'Qualcomm HS-USB qloader 9008'. More curiously, Xiaomi Flash Tool (BTW, it was the beta version although I guess the latest version would have worked as well) recognised the device although everytime I tried to flash an official firmware I got a message error: 'cannot receive hello packet'.
Well, after some research I was scared because I didn't want to open the phone to unplug the battery or anything. But I read somewhere that someone had the same problem as me and that he tried Xiaomi Flash Tool until it worked.
That was it, that was the clue. Xiaomi Flash Tool ready, having initially recognised my mi5s, the phone connected to the laptop, I made the combination to get into fastboot (holding volume - & power button) until my laptop made a tiny nose (the same one I explained at the beginning). As soon as I heard it I left the phone and clicked on the flash button on Xiaomi Flash Tool. Yes, it worked out. I installed latest development chinese MIUI rom. From there, I got into fastboot, flashed a new recovery... Well that's another history, the fact is that the mi5s is working again and I must say I feel really relived.
If anyone encounters the same problem I had I hope this post is of any help to him/her.

Is not your version of the recovery is wrong, what version of recovery you are using?
Hi
I have also bricked my Zuk Z2 pro after trying to update the Radio Modem !!!
Now when i try to start it, i only have the Zuk logo 1 seconde and after that he shut done and reboot. he do that 5 times and after the screen stay off and i only have the led who are on (blue or red).
When i plug the Z2 to my laptop, i can see that something is connected : qualcomm 9008 something but i can't do anything...
I have try to use adb, QFIl etc... nothing....
Any idea ???
Qfil is tricky, you must setup it first and start flashing as soon as phone connects. If you let phone in EDL mode for more than few seconds than port closes (even if it says its open). I have spent half a day with that issue.....
bricked Zuk Z2 Pro
Hello, i am new here and i have a big problem with my new Zuk Z2 Pro. I have unlocked the bootloader, installed TWRP (twrp-3.2.1-0-z2_row.img) the right way (with -i 0x2b4c in it if i am right) trough windows commands. After that i flashed a Mokee rom. Al was working well. After a week i wrote about a new version of ZUI and i flashed it. Now my Zuk is bricked. The phone will start up and then freezes in the beginning when i have to set the phone. I can get it in the menu with fastboot, recovery etc, but recovery is gone. I tried to flash a stock rom with QFIL, but my pc does not recognize my phone anymore. I don't get port 9008 and can not install TWRP anymore (waiting for device). I wrote many threads and it seems the problem is the driver. But i did install the driver (at least i think i did), and all the other needed stuff.
I know it can be fixed, but i am out of solutions. Can anyone help me out please? I hope this is the right thread to ask you, but when it's not, please guide me.
Also tried to flash the device with Mi Flash, but also the device is not recognized in this tool. At the beginning it was, but now it's not anymore.
Someone know the solution to get the phone recognized by pc and get the needed port 9008?
Do i have to use the testpoint method? Hope not, because i will have to open up the phone.
Waiting for help, thank you.
Alex

Use a usb 2.0 port not a usb 3 port
hello, i have hard brick at my mi8 .
When i try to press the power button the phone doesn't boot, If i try to go into recovery mode it doesn't boot and same for fastboot mode.
The screen is unresponsive (no backlight) and it doesn't vibrate. When i connect the phone to my computer it is automatically recognized as Qualcomm HS-USB QDLoader 9008 (COM5) which correspond to the EDL mode (i think).
When try to flash any rom with miflash i get the error " cannot receive hello packet.
Can anyone help me ?:crying:

Likely you have too much power coming from your usb ports, use a usb hub such as this: https://www.amazon.com/BYEASY-Porta...jbGlja1JlZGlyZWN0JmRvTm90TG9nQ2xpY2s9dHJ1ZQ==
Now try Mi Flash again, make sure that the lock bootloader (which is checked by default) is unchecked.
Now it should work, be sure that you are using a fastboot rom and not a recovery rom. ( a recovery rom will not work)
Make sure that it is a fast boot for your device : If you have a global device here is a link with quite a few fastboot roms :https://c.mi.com/thread-1899815-1-0.html
If you still have trouble let me know, and tell me specifically how you arrived at your brick, I helped someone with this exact issue a couple of weeks ago, and I was going to link you to that thread. But i can't find it at the moment.
I get the same error " cannot receive hello packet" with hub USB.
MY xioami mi 8 is global version, i unlock the bootloader and make a downgrade with twrp to a older version of stable rom, and when the phone start ,its all ok and login my mi account, and the phone goes down and never more boot. Always in the pc i get qualcom port (edl mode) . Sorry for my bad english.:crying:
I think i need account with EDL authorization to flash any rom. And i can't found anyone to save me..
Try https://forum.xda-developers.com/mi-8/how-to/unbrick-mi8-edl-authorized-account-t3896677
Thank you .. i try this metod but no success

Maybe try this site : MOD EDIT: link removed
I dont have his name but one of the techs from this site is a frequent XDA user and supposedly legit.
In the end there is a risk of losing $12. Seems to be worth $12 to me.
I send message to this brother , and it's 40 dollars .. i'm thinking about
thanks for reply
Hello all,
A friend of mine said he was careless and installed an A2 Lite ROM to his A2. All I know is he can't fix the phone no matter what he tried.
Can we do something about this? Or is the phone permanently bricked?

try flashing stock rom
Thank you for the reply. Will get back to you as soon as I get an answer from him.
Okay, I got some more info: From what my friend said:
He installed the ROM but after selecting "restart device" it didn't boot up.
Pressing button combinations has no effect either.
When the device is connected to PC Windows recognizes it as "Qualcomm HS-USB QDLoader 9008(COM3)".
He also tried different versions of MiFlash but he is getting "The Write timed out" and "cannot read hello packets" (???) errors.
Since the device isn't reacting to button presses he can't activate fastboot.
This was translated from another language. Hope I didn't make any mistakes.
EDIT: He tried edl before, it didn't work.
Now he is getting "Error loading type library/DLL".
Your friend need to do Flash Point
Ask him to google "How to flash a qualcomm soc with qpst via com port". I'm sure he'd find a lot of videos on youtube guiding through the entire process. Also tell him to keep the stock fastboot rom downloaded, coz he'll be needing that.
Flashing a wrong rom destroyed the partition table of his device. If he cant fix it himself, tell him to visit a nearby service centre. He'll get the device back in a few days or so.

all is fine ...
he can flash it in miflash in edl mode
if computer can see the 9008 com port he is already in edl
the error with hello packets is because he waits too long to start flashing ..he needs to unplug phone then when he plugs it in he must have everything prepared then press flash quickly
he can wait for battery to run out of charge ...then prepare miflash ...then plug in phome ...the EXACt moment it wakes press flash
then it will work
Thanks a lot for your time and help everyone. He got frustrated and sent it to a service center. I couldn't convince him. It works fine now, though.
