Hello.
I've noticed a very silly problem with android auto, when phone is connected to vehicle and using android auto and playing YouTube on phone at the same time, you cannot control YouTube with steering keys (like play/pause prev/next)
Because it will just control android auto and YouTube on phone is playing through Bluetooth.
Is there any solution?

Hi. On AHRD 41.0. I got new jay bird blue tooth headphones for Xmas. When I start streaming music the leu tooth volume maxes out and the slider doesn't hold the lowered volume consistently. I have been reading that this is an issue. Are there any mods /tweaks out there that people use? I have been combing threads and not finding anything useful. Thanks.

I fell back to 4.3 ahrd 31.6 and all is well. Kit kat is the issue.
Upgraded from 4.3 to HTC One Developer Edition on 4.4 w/ Sense 5.5
Had bluetooth jumping issue. A reboot fixes the issue if the first app used is stock music app.
Basically
Connected a bluetooth headphones to phone.
Volume button on headphone and volume button on phone work fine with Stock Android Music Player.
When Pandora is launched, bluetooth volume jumps to maximum setting on device - very deafening!
Hitting volume down button on headset OR on phone, moves the volume lower, but it continually jumps up to highest setting. Therefore unable to reduce volume in Pandora. Using bluetooth volume via the onscreen slider works, but it is still too loud at the lowest setting. The same behavior on the lock screen or if phone is asleep. The same effect continues to occur while Pandora is on the "Now Playing" screen or if I leave Pandora on the "Now Playing" screen. Using stock music app now has the same issue.
If the Pandora app is set to go to the "main screen" which displays "stations" bluetooth control of the volume is returned to normal. Both the controls on the headphone and on the phone work properly whereas pandora volume, bluetooth volume and headphone volume is all in sync. The volume jumping around stops. Now if I leave the Pandora app running and got to home screen, lock screen or allow the phone to sleep. The bluetooth volume works fine and doesn't jump around.
Going back into "now playing screen" or leaving pandora in "now playing" screen causes issues.
If you don't have pandora, check what other apps you have that running that are using music output to headphone.
Sideloading Pandora 4.4 apk fixes issues. Sideloading 5.0 re introduces the issue.

Great. This is helpful. Thank you for your reply.
Hi,
since Oreo (Official version, no root, everything original) I have a problem with bluetooth audio, when I'm connected to one of my cars (Audi A6 and A3).
Everytime spotify starts to play. Even if i start manually another player (Smart Audio Player for audibooks) in many cases it starts playing for a few seconds, stopps and than spotify starts playing again. Sometimes it is not possible to play the audiobooks.
If I mute the volume in my car, Smart Audio Player stopps playing (when I had the luck, that it was not interruped by spotify ). If I unmute the volume, spotify continues to play and not Smart Audio Player.
This behavior has come new with Oreo. With Android 7.x everything was fine.
Do you have some tips for me, what I can do? This behavior is very annoying.
Thanks a lot.
My P20 Pro works fine with all bluetooth playback controls, except for "Play". So whenever I pause the music with my headset or in the car, I have to go on the phone to press play again. I thought that it was some power saving feature or some such, but it turns out that pressing "Next track" works perfectly, so it's only the "play" command that it ignores.
However, if I wait too long with pressing next track ("too long" being perhaps one minute) instead of resuming in the app currently in use, it will play from the stock Music app, even though I have never opened it. I also changed the "default music app" to Google Play Music, but this is completely ignored.
Happens with all apps and all bluetooth devices.
Anyone else experience the same issues? Any way to fix this? It's driving my nuts.
Same issue here, all my Bluetooth earphone control not working with poweramp

Mine works well with shuttle+(pro/paid version). My only issue is the extremely low volume level and the lack of eq(shuttle+ has built in eq, but the volume is still ****ty low)
Same issue with Spotify.

I've no issue with my Spotify and Bluetooth headphones. Mines not a headset , where the mic is included in case that makes a difference. Also is apx compatible

I have the exact same problem, for example with Audible. Think it's the AI trying to conserve battery. Hope it'll learn soon to leave it alone.
Same problem here on the Huawei P20 with both LG and Bose Bluetooth headphones.
Hi,
Is there any way to set a key on the remote to change between 2 remote profiles?
This would be the reason why I could really use this:
I have a 5.1 system that I need to turn on and change volume from it's own remote, because it's connected using Optical cable. The problem is there is a noticeable delay between TV audio and the 5.1 audio system, and even if I sink it up for YouTube, Netflix will have a different delay and so on.
So each time, to use the 5.1 system I need to turn it on, put the TV on mute, and use the remote volume keys for system volume, and I don't have enough customizable keys on the remote, so I always end up having to use 2 remotes, and having them spread out on the sofa and sitting on them is really annoying.
I have button mapper installed, but I have not found something like Macrodroid in Chromecast Play store, and I'm not even sure it would work.
Kind regards,
Daniel
Hi folks!
I have recently bought a new car and I'm having the following issue: if my media volume on my mobile is low or mute, I can't listen to music on Android Auto on my head unit, as it is very low or mute, just like the mobile. If I volume up on my head unit, I still can't listen, it's like the head unit volume control works separated from Android Auto and my mobile volume.
To listen to music on Android Auto, I have to volume up my mobile (using volume buttons), and then I can increase or decrease volume on my head unit.
As far as I remember, on my previous car I have never had that issue before. I don't recall worrying about if my mobile was mute or with low volume, I just connected the cable and everything was good.
Am I doing something wrong? Is there a way to set up this correctly?
Testing some scenarios, here's what I have found so far.
The issue happens on PowerAmp. I have tested other players (Youtube Music, Fermata Auto) and even if media volume is mute on my mobile, both still can play music on Android Auto.
