Decision of Xiaomi.
With the tools provided above Instagram will be uninstallable and reinstallable.

Thank you again!
Is it safe to uninstall it?
Ps: is it a decision of Xiaomi that Instagram can not be cloned in "dual apps", too?
Or is it just a bug in Miui13?

Can't really tell you, never used it but you can test with another app that can only be deactivated and see the result.

Do you mean I may try deactivating the app before uninstalling?
Instagram app can be deactivated using system settings, I did it... and nothing happened.
So I can't figure out what may happen if I uninstall it completely.

I answered this question
"is it a decision of Xiaomi that Instagram can not be cloned in "dual apps", too?"
Instagram is not a system apps you can uninstall it.
No need to deactivate it first.
The die is cast. I uninstalled it using ADB AppControl 1.7.9.
It seems everything is still working...
Thanks again NOSS8!

I foolishly activated McAfee which is pre-loaded on the European Note 8 running Android 9, big mistake. It has taken a dislike to one of my apps, which is important to me and have used for a couple of years with no issues. The problem is you cannot add to a safe list, or deactivate McAfee, have tried many solutions, but no luck. It is hell-bent on the deletion
The phone is not rooted.
Anyone on this forum got any experience or solution with this bloatware, there must be a way to deactivate without a full reset back to factory settings?

You could try clearing the cache and data of the 'device security' app.

Will give it a try, although not sure will be able to locate this app, McAfee is nowhere to be seen anywhere, except the reference (powered by McAfee) when you do a security scan.
But there is some other bloatware I would like to remove, so will be a useful exercise.

You can download an app on Google Play called "package inspector" which will give you the app name so you can disable it.
For the device security use the line below.
com.samsung.android.sm.devicesecurity
I am using an app from Google Play called Package Disabler Pro+ (Samsung) that has successfully disabled everything I want. It cost a couple bucks but was well worth it.

Wish it was that easy, Not sure using what you are using but note 8 running android 9 that is not possible. McAfee is hidden somewhere in the security app and is not visible in settings.

Not possible to deactivate, have tried many times. I think the only solution is a hard reset and not activate McAfee.
I'm having trouble with some apps, I don't receive notification from apps like LinkedIn and Snapchat.
I'm using "Medium power saving" added an exception for the apps to not be optimized and still, don't get the notification.

Have you checked to make sure that they are allowed to use data in the background? I've noticed that Q seems to have a much more aggressive policy with putting apps to sleep. I have a hard time keeping TuneIn radio playing while I'm at work. It keeps killing it

Can someone advice
are you sure you have not turned on the Eco Mode ? it disables apps to save battery
Use app without installing, it is a feature from Google, not a bug. You choose on playstore to have that

Hi all. I am trying to disable Google Play Services. I have tried with "Settings, Security, Additional settings, Device manager, Find my device, deactivate", but the option to disable Google Play Services are greyed out.
How can I disable Google Play services on this device?
I'm in EMUI 10.
Thank you very much.

On the contrary. In that post it is how to uninstall any app that you do not want.
The author of the post does it with a specific app, but you can do it with whatever...
The command is:
pm uninstall -k --user 0 com.huawei.hwid
You just have to replace "com.huawei.hwid" with the name of the app you want to uninstall.
In the case of Google Play Services, you have to investigate the name of the app (it will have a similar format, but instead of huawei it will be google or android, I don't remember exactly.
But following that tutorial I was able to uninstall it.
You just have to do a little research.
Greetings and happy afternoon.
Anyone find how to remove GPS, i did search for it, but did not get any wiser how to get rid of that google.
Hello,
I'm root of course, is there a way to hide the 1st entry of Android parameters "Samsung account"? Deactivate related apps does not. It does nothing when I click on it but it's still showing.

You should Google for better privacy search engines!
OK, thanks but no, my goal is not to install 2 more apps to reorder the parameters menu, but to deactivate the right apps for the menu to hide by itself (if possible, it generally does this because some apps add the menu, so no app, no more menu.)

The apps are from Samsung btw. Alternatively, you're out of options.

Hope this helps my guy:
adb shell pm uninstall --user 0 com.osp.app.signin
this will remove samsung account functionality almost completely. I suspect you know how to use adb. Just note that some buttons in system apps might break

I read that we can't anymore uninstall system apps. Swiftbackup doesn't allow it.
adb shell pm uninstall really uninstall or it's only "marked uninstalled" and reversible?
