Hi
I have ultra with latest update from today
I made a screenshot and when sharing from WhatsApp i can not find it
Before the update no problem but now not showing in any folder or option in Whatsapp
Something is wrong here
I have to go to files in the tablet and from there
But if you want to reply a text with a screenshot from attachment you can not find it inside WhatsApp
Solved
I had to go to permission and give the files folder one( Photos and Videos is called )

Hi, was wondering if anyone on the forum was experiencing any issues with the Gmail app v 2.2.1 I looked around the forum & google but I can't seem to find a solution. Anyway here's what's happening . . . I'm able to receive all the notifications etc but I can't seem to preview any of the attached images. Html mail with images are loaded fine but if someone attaches an image say from Yahoo mail and sends it to me on my Gmail addy and I click on Preview it simply fetches the image forever lol, if I click download it does the same thing . . . just keeps downloading the image and never says complete, how-ever if I go into my Gallery I can see that the image has been downloaded to the default downloads folder Weird. I'm on Stock Froyo FRF91 (unlocked Bootloader) Any solutions before I finally give up & just restore the thing? Cheers.
Hello!
System info:
I've got SGS GT-i9000 with CM7 as my firmware and GO Launcher EX as my default launcer.
Introduction:
Everything has been working brilliantly, but now I've run into an annoying problem. I recently installed couple of emulators (SNesoid, Nesoid...) and as I play them, I like to take screenshots from the games I play. There is a built in screenshot function in the emulator which I use (instead of the OS one), which saves the images to a "screenshot" folder (notice: it is not the same as "screenshots" which is the OS's folder).
The problem:
Since then I have noticed that most of my gallery thumbails have been replaced by the thumbnails of those screenshots found in the "screenshot" folder (which was created by those emulators). I don't know for sure that these things are related, but it seems weird that this new screenshot folder had my gallery thumbs all messed up.
So finally, the grand question is: how do I reset my gallery's thumbnails? Is there a specific cache folder or something where the system stores all the thumbnails, which I could easily just erase and start all over again?
I googled through the FAQ and made a forum search but couldn't find an answer to this. My apologies if this question seems reduntant, but I'd like to find the solution for my problem.
Thanks!
I think you should go to: Settings->Apps->ALL->Gallery->Clear data...
Let me know if it helped you

Hey there!
Thanks for the answer, however, it did not solve my problem I cleared the data as you suggested and rebooted my phone and still the problem persists.
Dear all, I don't know is this a bug or what. I'm now on Miui rom with android version 4.1.1, and when I use the file explorer, I found that my music category was looking strange, as I know very well that this category should not built up to more than 1GB (not even with all my music file added up together), but now it's 3.75GB. and when I press the music category, it shows a lot of files without file names dated 16/01/1970 !!
Are these files actually exist? or is just some kind of bug? Does this take up space? Really appreciate if any one can help me here.
I tried to delete the file but failed, the system doesn't respond at all! can anyone tell me what I shall do now?
Same problem,

Hi, i hope somebody can help me. I´m using "Utacka" ROM, but bevor i used another custom ROM and problem was the same.
I´m not able to receive attachments from WhatsApp Messenger. The thumbnail is shown but i can not download. When I click on the image i can see the progress bar but it stays empty. Also i´m not able to attach something to sent.
My supposition is a permission problem with WhatsApp Media Folder, but don´t know how to fix...
Thanks for your help!
Best Regards

Hi together,
i found a solution by myself - renaming (deleting was not possible) the WhatsApp-folder on my internal sd brougth it. WhatsApp automaticly created the folder again with *i think* new fixed permissions. Now i can send and reveive attechments! The same procedure helped my with downloading files in my Browser. I renamed the "Downloads" Folder and now it works probertly.
Thanks and Regards

Hello,
Can anybody tell me how i can exclude some folders which contain images from showing up in my Album ?
i found a few replies regarding this in other forums but none of them worked and I tried asking in talk.sonymobile.com but it was useless.
I tried the .nomedia file creation method, Quickpic method and adding dot to the folder name method.
I tried all those methods to prevent the pics that i get via whatsapp from not being shown in my album. As you may know the pics that we download via whatsapp gets stored inside "Whatsapp images" folder.
I tried to put a blank .nomedia file into the folders and then cleared cache and data of both Album app and Media storage. Then after doing all that i rebooted my phone. I can still see the pictures in there in my Album app once i add a new pic into the folder.
Am running .253
i would really appreciate it if anybody could help me out
I am 100% positive that there are many people who would love to have a solution for this.
If you need anymore info then do please let me know.

the .nomedia way worked for me. but the trick is cleaning data and cache of the media server/media storage (don't know the exact name at the moment) in settings->apps, and then restarting the phone.
after a restart, album will be empty and start rescanning your storage. when finished, you'll see that there won't be the .nomedia folders included anymore.
