Hi,
I have 3 spes devices, two are 2201117TL (manufactured in July) and one is 2201117TG (manufactured in January).
What's the difference between all the spes models (2201117TG, 2201117TI, 2201117TY, 2201117TL)? Just manufacture date or do they have differences?
As far as I know ( and I could be wrong ), it's only the manufacturing date ( batch? )
Spesn has nfc, spes doesn't

It could also be the country variant. Like the 2201117TG, G is for Global, while for the 2201117TI, the I could be India or Indonesia (?)
As for differences, one thing for sure is the version of MIUI it has. Because there's like a ton of versions of MIUI for this phone, like Indian, Indonesian, Turkey or Russian ROM

Hmm, yeah that's very likely.
Like I said, I don't know for sure.

Is there any source to finde latest basebands for Xiaomi Redmi 4X ?
And is it possible to flash it ?
Would be interesting to get any with LTE band 20.
Just updated to new global version 8.2.9.0 from 8.2.0.2.
There is also coming a little baseband update with it.
Before is was .2.c8-00006-8940_GEN_PACK-1_V003
and now it is .2.c8-00006-8940_GEN_PACK-1_V042.
Hope that also band 20 for LTE will come once with a standard update, because the hardware should be fine for it.
Would be great for users / customers in central europe around germany esp.
How can I downgrade the baseband? My 4x only has 2g signal
I have Redmi 4X (santoni) and I b20 was working already when I bought it. Now I use Xiaomi.eu MIUI 8 (Android N 7.1.2) and everything works perfectly.
I 've bought redmi 4x Global from GearBest but I don't know if it supports B20.
The box writes:
Product Name / Product Model: Mobile Phone / MAG138
Can someone confirm if it is indeed the global version and supports B20 ?
I am not 100% sure but I read that few times:
If you got english packaging you should have the international Version with band 20....
There are 3 different Versions to buy.
You can see it eg at geekbuying:
Version 1 : Normal 4x with english and chinese Rom - no Band 20
Version 2: Global Rom 4x with Multilanguage Rom - no Band 20
Version 3: Global Version 4x with Multilanguage Rom - including Band 20

Go to your order at the Gearbest shop and click on the link to the phone.
If you see Global version you have B20, as you can see at the specs (4G: FDD-LTE B1/B3/B4/B5/B7/B8/B20)
Confusing part.......If you see the International version then you don't have B20 (4G: FDD-LTE B1/B3/B5/B7/B8)
unlock bans 20
any way to unlock LTE band 800mh - (20) in xiaomi redmi 4x 2g/16 chinese version????
pls help. I bought this phone but havent band 20
(bootloader is unlock and rom is rooted)
I'm following the same question:
is it possible to unlock B20 on any 4X just flashing the right international ROM or
it is necessary to buy a different version of the phone
(i.e. B20 depends on software only or on hardware difference too ???)

I didn't buy it from Gearbest, it was from one of Czech e-shops. I wasn't aware of the different HW versions.
I think I'm just going to get the Global version on geekbuying with 3GB RAM, $124.99 is a really good price.
as far as i know the problem is not the modem, but the antenna. it needs a different one. you can try to modify the nvram if you know how to do it. you also need B20 configuration values for that. but maybe it really have other hardware requirements.
For Band 20 (EU, Germany) definitely buy the GLOBAL VERSION, on the box it clearly states Band 20 amongst others
China doesn't use Band 20 for LTE, so it's not supported on the China market phones.
Reading from other phones threads, it's not possible to add band 20 to phones without it.
Who tried modding the phone's reserved system partitions, ended up with a non-working phone modem/radio.
So, you must check the supported bands on the phone before you buy it.

is there any difference between these two apart from ROM? Will chinese k20 pro NFC work when I flash a custom rom?
asking because will buy one soon, k20 is cheaper but I've seen on gsmarena that k20pro nfc works only in china and that's basically the only thing that would force me to choose it over 9tpro

networks in every country that I've been so far (europe/scandinavia) work well on redmi note 3 which has less band support, should be fine, no?
there's that `NFC (china only)` thing in K20 column, will I be able to use it in europe after flashing a custom rom?

You can use it with the Chinese ROM. Not sure where this has come from that it only works in China. The issue is more about tap to pay apps don't work on the Chinese ROM. I know GPay doesn't play with Chinese MIUI, but not sure what else doesn't.
Once you've installed a custom ROM, then it's irrelevant (obviously excluding Indian models) which version of the phone you have. Any fixes required to get financial and tap to pay apps will work on all models with NFC hardware.

K20 Pro is released in China and India. Indian model, despite sharing the name, doesn't have NFC.
K20 PRO / Mi9T PRO ROM
I have mine ( K20 PRO ) with Mi9T PRO Global ROM. Everything works fine in, NFC works too.
Is the global Mi 9T Pro with dual band GPS?

Yes.. both official stable global and eea.
Be aware of the differences between the Chinese K20Pro and the Indian.
Chinese: no band 20, no widevine L1 after flashing non stock rom
Indian: no NFC, no band 20, no widevine L1 after flashing non stock rom.
Also there are hardware differences between the K20Pro and the 9T Pro.
Read very well all topics around flashing forward and back from stock to different Rom's and disregarding some don'ts put many here with a bricked or semi-bricked phone!!!

The only known hardware difference between all models is that the Indian model does not have the NFC coil. Otherwise they are identical.

No hardware/software wise band 20 is not there and it is a Qualcomm firmware thingy that blocked band 20 for all K20(Pro).
You can flash any Rom that you want but on as well the Indian as the Chinese K20(Pro) band 20 is not available.

Yes, but that is firmware, like your say. Physical hardware is the same, it's the firmware (software) controlling it that is different.
I want to buy 9T PRO 6/128 version from Wondamobile and it comes with Global ROM. Sicne I live in EU and would like to know if you can flash Global ROM to EAA ROM without need to unlock bootloader?

No.
However, why would you want to? In use, there is no noticeable difference between EU and global versions of MIUI for this phone.
You may actually get a European phone with European ROM. Places like Wondamobile get the phones from wherever is cheapest at the time, so it might be a global phone from Hong Kong or it could be a European phone. Whichever one you will get, if you intend to stay with official MIUI, then just live with whatever it has, as you'll not see any difference.

To be honest i found indian 10.3.5 smoother than global 10.3.2, way snappier.

As the OP is in the EU, they might want to use the NFC, so the Indian ROM would be useless.
So in some website say it have in the cn version and some it say no have . So who have the cn version can tell me it is have it the b28(700) pls?
This website it say have :https://www.frequencycheck.com/mode...-dual-sim-td-lte-cn-128gb-rmx1931#frequencies
And in kimovil it say not have in cn version
It does not have B28 according to officially website specs. Only the global ver has B28.
But why frecuancycheck it say have?
Here it say it too

I would trust offical more than a database that can be edited by anyone or some random guy. Even the specs on gsmarena isn't always up-to-date. Probably just made by some intern copy and pasting, especially for an niche phone.
Which one do you think is better between the two? If my ROM before was QJOEUXM and I flashed the QJOMIXM ROM in my RN9, would it make that much difference?
The clue is in the question
One is for devices sold into European markets, the other for Global (non EU, non Chinese) markets
Mine came with the EU version of MIUI 11 - I couldn't install the Global (non EU) version of MIUI 12, but the EU version installed fine. Phones bought in different regions usually have different regional update channels and do it is here
I don't imagine there would be any meaningful difference at all between the versions, but with only one MIUI device I can't compare. Unless you've rooted your phone I'd expect you will only be able to install the one intended for your region
Correct me if I'm wrong, people!

Check your model number
Mine is M2003J15SG
It's a 4/128gb version, was bought within the EU, runs EU ROMs and has NFC
Pretty sure, as I said above, that the global and Chinese phones have different model numbers and different specs (some versions having no NFC chip) running different stock firmware
