Xperia X8 Language (HELP)

Hey guys, my xperia had a softbrick and i couldn't update it with PC Companion.
So i tried flashtool and it worked.
I re-tried PCcomanion again and the "repair" option also worked now.
However, after i repaired it and put my phone on, the default language was set to russian or something. And i have to scroll all the way to the top to select English (united kingdom)
I was wondering how i could reset my language so when i factory reset or flash back to stock 2.1, My default language would be english.
Please reply soon.
IMO You should look at build.prop file in system folder. There is something like ro.product.locale.language= and ro.product.locale.region= . Also there is something like SI code in stock 2.1 firmware. (SI code will tell You about branding firmware etc.)
but will this help me fix my problem?
I did some research and It looks to me like I need a Generic United Kingdom 2.1 xperia rom.
but i can't find any..
which leaves me clueless

[Q] Korean language blank

Today I recently updated my ROM however after flashing I found out that the Korean language is blank as shown below
When I click on it, it changes but no Korean characters show. No characters show and is blank in apps as well as shown in the second screenshot.
Any ideas what happened? Sorry if this has been posted before

Got my D5803 today, system language in Spanish and can't change it...

recent apps key, when pushes, says "cerrar todo" instead of "close all"
Also, notifications button pulldown says "servico no disponsible" insted of "no service"
I am an AT&T user and have yet to take the phone in for a new sim, but even in language options i choose english the actual system menus are in spanish.
i have already done a factory data reset as well, same problem.
This happened to me as well. I didn't do a reset but just rebooted my phone after setting the system language to U.S. English. After the reboot all messages were in the correct language.

[Q] ATT Unlocked root question

I have a Samsung Galaxy S5 I got at AT&T and paid it off... so it's completely mine. Then I had them unlock the phone for me so now I'm in Ukraine using this phone, but it's in English and there is no way I could have the phone be completely in Russian. I've used a third-party app called "MoreLocale" to change the locale to Russia (had me do some ADM/fastboot codes to allow it) but that didn't completely change it to Russian.
It changed some applications to Russian which have Russian translations to it, but the ROM itself is in English... I'm trying to get it to Russian, but I'm afraid to root it and flash a new ROM on to it as I'm afraid I might somehow re-lock it to AT&T service or something else. Basically, I'm afraid of loosing the use of this phone. A phone like this one here in Ukraine is expensive, and they don't have deals like they do in US where you get to pay off monthly.
So my question is, is it safe for me to root the phone and flash a custom ROM onto it?
Another question, if it is safe for me to flash a custom ROM onto it, does it have to be AT&T compatible, or can it be international version now that the phone is unlocked?
Thanks in advance.
All ATT S5 have bootloader locked. You will not be able to flash custom ROMs. There are few which can be flashed using safestrap.
The SIM unlock on the phone (which you have) is permanent. Whatever you do (factory reset, root etc), it will remain unlocked.

I remember this working on a Galaxy S4 on Touchwiz-based ROMS....I take no responsibility for mess-ups here.
Assuming the device is rooted stock and on 4.4.2...navigate in RootBrowser to: /system/csc
Rename language.xml to something like language_old.xml and then restart the device.
Coming back from a reboot, you should see all international languages for selection in Language and input>Language.
I'd try it myself...but I have a currently unrootable Lollipop ATT GS5.
EDIT: Did some more research...if you're rooted try this: https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.wanam&hl=en
I can't get my Samsung Galaxy S5. I've tried to root it using towelrool, but that didn't work for me. It says that it isn't compatible with my phone. I need to get it rooted.
If the bootloader is locked, is there any way to unlock it? Flashing it or something? Is there some way to get the phone rooted and unlocked?
Mainly I need the phone to be in Russian... and since ATT has this thing against Russia (or Samsung, I don't know) they removed the Russian language from the phone and the only way I can think of returning Russian language to the phone is to root it and flash it to a ROM that has the language... or hack it after rooting... read some on it, where it has a file that could possibly lock Russian language from it, but I can't get access to the file until I root it.
I tried to use MoreLocale (Find it on Google Play Market) and it did add Russian region to the phone, but it didn't completely add the language to the phone. If the app is opened and it has Russian translation to it in Russian, it would be in Russian, but mostly everything (including the main menu [settings]) is in English... I would like to have it converted to Russian.
There are also programs that I would like to use which only work on rooted devices.
Any help on this topic would be appreciated.
