How to send email from google home - Google Home

Hello,
I want to send an email using a voice command from google home . For eg. I say 'Hey Google, Add a task buy gift' and I want to send an email to [email protected] with ' buy gift'.
I searched everywhere on the web for this but what I find no longer matches with what I find on the google home app or IFTTT. Most of the pages that suggest IFTTT point to Google Assistant and this is no longer available on IFTTT app but I find 'Google Assistant V2' Some of the pages suggest using Routines on Google Home but there is no Routine to send email on Google Home app. anyway to get this done?

Google voice is notifying me through text and google voice

even thought i have sync disabled
I believe those settings are changed from Google voice account. I had the same problem couldn't figure out how to get them to stop. I couldn't find the right setting in the Google voice app. You can change that from a "full" browser in your Google voice account. Either go to your Gmail account on your phone in full web mode or go there on a desktop computer. I don't remember how I did it, but you can change that from the mobile Google voice webpage too, but most of the time I can only get to the page telling me to download it.

Search in email app?

I use exchange as my primary email app and there doesn't appear to be any search functionality even the email client looks a hell of a lot like outlook in honeycomb. Am I just missing the search feature or is there a better exhange client available?

For whatever reason, Google has never put a search function in their stock email app. You'll have to use touchdown or your company's web mail portal for searching.

How bizarre... a search company not having search in their email app. Very weird.

Anyone know of a place to report missing features to google?
Try K9 mail. The search on it is decent.

Use touchdown, the new one in the Market is designed for honeycomb and looks just like the Google mail app. Has full search even server search.

[Q] New to Android - Need help with Search

Hi,
I've just moved from Blackberry to HTC One which is my first Android device and am having some issues with the search functionality.
On the Blackberry, a search string would get me results from Mails, Messages, Apps, Settings, everything. On the HTC, I only get very limited results. Most importantly I can't figure out how to search email messages other than the subject/sender.
Considering Google is the search specialist, this should have been a basic feature. Or am I missing something? Are there any 3rd party apps that can do this?
Thanks..
Try Gmail and Google now is good hold down the home button
Tried it. Doesn't search message body or sms'. Only sender and subject.
You'll have to open the individual apps to do this. Google Now is a generation 1.0 application, it's not feature complete yet. In general, it'd require modifications both in Google Now and the other apps in order to share the data.
You could in theory try to find a replacement mail and SMS app that does talk to Google Now (shows up under Phone Search in Google Now Settings), but that is up to the individual apps. I don't know of any offhand.
Google search may be able to do what your asking. I know it has a bunch of options for what you want to search on your phone.

Removing Foursquare

Greetings all,
I have an unlocked Note 9 (Model #SM-N960U1) I bought directly from Samsung that I use on the T-mobile network. I keep my schedules using Samsung's calendar app. When I attempt to add a location to my schedules more often than not the location can't be found. Apparently, my unlocked Note 9 is using "Foursquare" as Samsung's calendar maps search engine. Is there a way to remove Foursquare from my device, or at the very least select Google maps as the default for Samsung's calendar app?
You could always disable the app through adb commands
Clear Search
I haven't figured out how to get rid of "power by Foursquare" in the Samsung Calendar and make it go back to using Google Maps, but I did find a work around:
X out of the text in the SEARCH field
Select your current location from the list of pre-populated choices
It will let you switch from "Keyword" to "Address"
Then you can search for the address you really want
You should then be able to click DONE from the results
I prefer the Samsung Calendar widget since it has Transparency as an option but I guess I'll have to find a 3rd party widget that opens Google Calendar instead.

Logging into Google Maps

Hi guys,
is there any possible way to let me Login into my Google Maps account? That´s like the only thing I miss on my else google free phone.
Not unless someone finds a way to Install GMS on it.
The one thing you could try is to use GMaps via the Browser then you should be able to log in
I use 10.49.3 version, to have guidance (it's the latest version where I could find that guidance).
Can't login ...
Install Gspace by searching via Huawei App Gallery and you will be able to install Google Map with your account
The only problem I'm facing is that after reaching my location by navigation I can't press done to stop the navigation.
I have Maps 10.67.2 on Gspace 1.0.6.
If I open the app and set my home as destination (being home already), it's saying "welcome home" and I can press "done" (it works).
