Hi,
I have the Mate 50 Pro Orange since a while and I notice the gesture to change application by swiping at the bottom of the screen isn't working
Is there any people with the same issue as me ?
Here is a little demonstration video :
Thanks in advance

Not that ive seen, it does that so you can see all your today stuff.
you can use some application for today screen with tabs. i use Ultimate Launch, but there are some other apps that do something like this. try searching for "tabbed today screen".
i use spb pocket plus... i think its a little more user friendly... UL is a little settings crazy
Hi all,
I have searched - unsuccessfully - an application that displays, discretly, my fingerprints on the screen.
Why ????
Because I would like to use my note like a gamepad :
I plug it to my TV and from my couch I play N.O.V.A 3
You understand why I would like to see my fingerprints: in order to do not look at my phone!
If you have any idea ...
Thx
I believe this is what you're looking for:
https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=opotech.globaltouchconfirm
There is also similar effect if you select "Show touch input" under "Developer" menu - depending on your rom, however, this menu/feature might not be enabled.
Hi !
This app is exactly what i'm looking for .... but I'm on ICS
I've already test the developper option "show touch input" but it's not discret. I mean you see the entire trace of your movement and cursor coordinate at the top of the screen
EDIT : Actually, you are right Akiainavas ! I thought you spoke about "Display cursor emplacement". I've read to fast ... ! Thx !!
Hi folks,
While locked, one can find the Barcode-scanner with a swipe from the bottom. That is, in fact, quite handy.
But, maybe I'm blind, I can't find that app/feature while the phone is unlocked. I know that the camera -app should recognize QR-codes automatically, but it doesn't react to barcodes.
If someone here could tell me, how to start that Barcode-scanner, that would be great.
Kindly, Marcel
Just scroll the home page to the left until you see a search bar
Or in home screen, swipe down from the screen ( not the notification bar) until you see a search bar
The left part of the search bar is the barcode scanner
Thanks, found it next to the searchbar...
But, can't one can start it directly somehow?
From the Lockscreen, swipe up from the botton. The most right icon.

As I wrote in the first post, I already knew that, I was looking to start that app/function while the phone is unlocked. But thanks anyway...
I guess I will just use the way mentioned earlier, with the searchbar...

I am using Nova Launcher so the search bar is not visible for me... The only option is to start it from the lock screen. Any other methods?

There's another way, a bit complicated, but it works:
Make a photo of the QR code and open the photo with the gallery app. Now tap the 3 dots for "more" on the bottom right and the last menu entry should be " Scan QR code in the picture" or something else (free translated from German EMUI).
I don't know why Huawei removed the EMUI 4 feature that the stock camera can read QR codes directly without any option. There was just a small button with "scan QR code" inside the camera app, when it recognized such a code.
swipe all the way to left. then you come to the search bar. the icon on the left of the search bar gets to the scanner. I have no idea why i cannot find the app anywhere elese.
Open camera app, in top left corner you have icon for HiVison(circle with 2 "wings"), click on that and then you have more posibilites, QR scanner, translate, shop, or recognizing.
Does anyone else find the Huawei P20 Pro's "virtual navigation" to be counter intuitive? The off-screen navigation controls make no logical sense.
Tapping the fingerprint sensor = back button
Holding the fingerprint sensor = home screen
Swiping from right to left across the fingerprint sensor = view open apps
Who designed this? Why is there no ability to customize it to a more logical function?
If it were my choice, this would be how it operates:
Tapping the fingerprint sensor = HOME
Holding the fingerprint sensor = RECENT APPS
Swiping from right to left across the fingerprint sensor = BACK
I feel like this makes much more sense for efficient usage? Does anyone else feel the same?
When I first used it I couldn't get the hang of it. Tried again and gave it a couple of days and once it clicks it's great.

Nice topic, can you use any fingerprint remappers kind of apps, and tell if that fixed the issue or not ?
I tried All In One Gesture but it looks clunky.
I will love to have Gesture across the screen rather than limited to the Button or the Navigation Dock....
I think the default gestures are very nice build. The ones I use more often is the ones that are easiest, and quickest to perform; "back" and "home". And the one I use most seldom is the hardest to do, and thats "recent apps". But I guess we all use our phone in a different manner, so customisation should be allowed.
I don't mind this arrangement but I do miss the ability to quickly double tap recents to open the last app you were using. I used that that a lot..

Exactly same issue for me
I use "Back Button" that creates some floating buttons for me on the right side. There you can double click to change to the reason app. Used them on my s8+ when hiding the on screen buttons.
Screenshot added.

I tried a couple but they all had a very long delay to respond after trying the gestures.

Yup. Other than that I find the gestures just fine to use. Don't know why the op has the default assumption that their idea for a setup is more logical. Both are just arbitrary choices at the end of the day, and either setup would take some time to commit to muscle memory.
Not long got this phone starting to get things done........ my way
Removed Bloated Apps
Settings changed for better battery usage
Now I am getting a blue line when scrolling/swiping up and down on certain pages under my finger touch
Did I enable something?
Checked Smart Assistance - Draw options
Sometimes my screen dims, automatic brightness has been diasbled, I think
Tried setting "increase readability under sunlight" under developer options to off as well as on
Any help would be appreciated

You mean like in the screen I attached?
This is the knuckle gesture feature. There are gestures for taking screenshots, split view and others for use with your finger knuckles.
If you have it while you're scrolling your fingers are so hard that the screen thinks it's a knuckle. Maybe you have long finger nails or scarf-skin?
You can disable this under ‘Settings’ > ‘Smart assistance’ > ‘Motion control’.
