Would anyone recommend where to buy new screen for rog 3 in Europe ?
Broke my one after nearly two years :/
Had a similar problem with my old Zenfone...
Usually best chances are ebay and AliExpress.. but depending on how new your model is, it might be costly. And adding insult to injury: It's a real pain to do that yourself (hairdryer and all).
EOD: I gave up those glued crap phones altogether and went for fairphone instead. And I don't regret that choice
PS: I don't know if that applies already but wasn't there some EU directive demanding manufacturers to provide spare parts? Perhaps the Asus people themselves will help you?
Left question on Asus board as well. Will give it 24 and order one from aliexpress if no one had a chance.
I hope you get screen protection proper this time as well
Nah, just kdding - my last screen protector covered everything, almost everything, except for about 1mm on the sides... of course, it fell on such unprotected spot.
Good luck!
BTW, did you ever change a screen before?
I’ve done dozens iPhones X included. Familiar with small screws and hands still not shaking

Compared to that a fairphone screen is "cheap" with the original 89€
It wasn’t cheap but defo worth it.
Already on it’s way to Ireland with DHL.
Same Phones starting at 450+
iPhone screens are cheapest on the market

I still have my Kaiser
Dave
Cool. So just keep the kaiser and give me the TP2.
I am waiting for the next Windows Mobile 7 released
At that time, probably TEGRA or SnapDragon phones will become broadly available !
You know, (my) the dream phone, TEGRA/SnapDragon, 4" (or at least 3.5") screen, thin, superb battery .... Windows Mobile 7.
I am pretty much happy with current Kaiser, WinMo 6.1 ... at least it is working fine .. internet browsing via opera-mini (love it!) ... GPS via TomTom ...
I first upgraded to a Fuze... Went back to the Tilt... Then I upgraded to the Touch Cruise *FM Radio is cool... but went back to the tilt... Now I upgraded to the LG Incite.. and again... Went back to the Tilt.. .I really think I would LOVE the TP2.. but..uhhh.. I am poor after buying a Fuze, Touch Cruise, and a LG Incite... lol I still have the Incite if anyone is wants to buy it.. Liike New, Unlocked, and custom 6.1 rom installed..
I upgraded to the Fuze and haven't really looked back. The TP2 does look nice, but I doubt I'll have money to buy it since I won't qualify for an upgrade.
I still have my Tilt that I use as a backup and flashed WM6.5 on it. If I'm going somewhere that something could happen to my Fuze, I'll bring my Tilt instead.
I do wish we could get aGPS working on the Tilt like it does on the Fuze now, but even with the registry settings I think we would need an updated radio that recognizes the commands.
Even though I live in Norway i strongly cherish my Scottish roots. Therfore it would be most appreciated (since I suck at photoshop) if someone could make an avatar for me. I was thinking the Android logo, just the standard green android, in a KILT. And yes, I'm fully aware of how stupid it sounds, but I would love you forever if you took the time to do this for me.
Thanks in advance (I hope)
Which tartan though?

Hello friends
First: sorry for my bad english, i hope you will understand me.
Today i show you my selfmade wood-stand for my HD2.
A blueprint is under the pics for all who want to rebuild it ^^
It has enough space for plugged in USB cable and even fits perfect in landscape-mode.
what you need:
2x 130mm x 55mm x 16mm wooden board
1x 130mm x 35mm x 16mm wooden board
angle meter
ruler
2,5mm drill bit to pre-drill the holes for the screws
4x wood screw 3mm x 24mm
aerosol spray, black (glossy)
costs: 2€
(aerosol spray is a little bit more expensive (about 10€), but you can build hundreds of stands with one spray )
and here come the pics

If you like it, there´s a "Thank You" button down there
Good work man....
Thank you.
I think its cheap and easy to build.
Everyone could change the design, to make it more custom.
I wanted only a simple stand, with ability to plug in my usb cable, with fitting size (stand is 67mm like hd2) and landscape compatibility.
The camera doesn't touch the stand in any position.
So it fulfills every attribut i wanted.
So i thought i share it with you to help like this community helped me

Wooden Stand
Man, that's so cool! And so simple, too. I've made a dozen stands that wound up in the trash, but this gives me a whole new perspective - wood!!! Looks great.
Thanks!
thank you for pressing the button
i´m very glad you like the stand...i will bulld some more these days, when i find enough time...feel free to upload picture of your versions too.
Nice job! but i dont need this i think
nice work ....

In the service manual for Galaxy S7 (SM-G930F), step number four in the flow chart for troubleshooting power-on issue is to check the voltage level of a "signal".
Check the signal of AP_PS_HOLD = 1.8V

I had a very hard time locating this. I didn't understand what it means to check for voltage of something by its signal name, and it's location was not described in the service manual (not that I could see in my four chapter excerpt of the complete manual). Then I learned that this signal name needs to be translated into a test point (TP) ID on the board. This is unlikely to be referenced in a service manual. So unless you have circuit diagrams for the phone, you will have a very hard time knowing what signal name translates to what test point on the board.
In my search for a test point for this signal, I have found where it's located on the Galaxy S2 (GT-I9100).
This is where it's at on Galaxy S2:
I think I have located a test point for it on the Galaxy S7 Edge (SM-G935F) and the Galaxy S7 (SM-G930F) as well, but I'm not sure if I have the right idea on how to probe it.
This is where it's at on Galaxy S7:
This is where it's at on Galaxy S7 Edge:
Can someone confirm please? Is TP7002 the test point for AP_PS_HOLD on Galaxy S7? As you can see, on the Galaxy S2, the test point looks like a proper test point, in the form of a copper contact pad. But on Galaxy S7 and Galaxy S7 Edge, it looks like it's protected by a layer of paint/coat, if it is a test point at all. So I'm thinking about scratching or scraping that layer off so I can get down to the copper. Is that the right idea here? I have never seen a test point looking like this, and I know what a test point usually looks like. @Renate I would appreciate advice on this.
I could not find a good picture of the Galaxy S7 Edge board. And I only assume that TP7002 serves the same purpose on the regular Galaxy S7. I don't know this for a fact. I don't know most of these things for a fact. Also, if it says to "check the signal", does it mean to use an oscilloscope? If it needs to be a steady 1.8 V, can I not check it with a multimeter? I don't need to see what the signal looks like?

It will drive the N22U prices down considerably if this review is accurate. This is what the S22U should have been. Feels like you're milking your fanboys for money.
What I hate:
rounded display corners; I utterly loathe this,
no expandable storage; a definite must,
a huge price tag, heavier and worse form factor and likely worse SOT than N10+. Grrrrr.
Unfortunately this is not an upgrade I would consider, again.
Try again Sammy... maybe you shouldn't have ditch your power users and the Note brand. Your zenith point is still the N10+, your most stunning creation to date. Seems like the N10+ was a fluke that you can't replicate no matter how hard you try.

Not enough... and 8gb of ram. I don't recommend it. The N10+ can literally do multitasking faster then the 8gb S22U variant.
500 or 256gb of internal and 1tb of V30 rated expandable storage gets it.
Even 500gb isn't that much... the SD card serves as my data drive; I already use more than 500gb.
