4.1.2 upgrade error

Hi all,
My name is Joe and ive recently purchased a s3 i9305 4g 2gb/16gb. I'm trying to install original firmware upgrade to 4.1.2 but am getting an error in odin. The error is: The parameter is incorrect.
Any reason this would be popping up. I've been able to load various other firmware through odin with no problem. The version of the firmare is exactly the same as the current version installed on the phone. the only difference is the build 4.1.1 trying to upgrade to 4.1.2???
Any help would be appreciated.

possibly a corrupt download? try redownloading the firmare

Latest news on thwe 4.1.2 upgrade is that i redownloaded the firmware still the same error. I then installed onin mobile and tried to load the firmware from that handheld application and presto it loaded. Waited for the firmware to do its thing. Finished and when the phone rebooted it was still 4.1.1. I need to re root my phone as i lost root access, and it appears that the firmware is not actually 4.1.2 but infact 4.1.1. Handset states it still 4.1.1. The firmware in question is the Hong Kong supposed upgrade 4.1.2 from SamsMobile. File name I9305ZHBLL3_I9305TGYBLJ1_TGY.zip. Has anybody else experianced the the same result with this firmware?

why dont u just use kies ..to update..its out now..the 4.1.2 update..got mine through kies yesterday.by the way im the UK.

A9100 CHINA can not root and flash GAPPS please help

Problem - i want to flash gapps but it wont let me flash and softbrick phone all time.
Below are the details and solutions I have done so far:
THis A9100 CHINESE A9 PRO, is not letting me copy any files into internal memory after twrp flash. Please see video to for the error.

After a while, I used OTG cable and flashed Gapps from it but then after phone will always boot to recovery and wont boot normally.

any of the older odin before v 3.13.1 wont be able to flash a note 8 or a s9. what makes you think that the older builds or even the latest one will work with the note 9? ( which you probably dont even have)
this makes this package useless and bulky.
not to mention its posted in the wrong section i would believe.

Question Firmware & CSC quick question

I have an SM-G998B/DS, which was bought closed carrier unlocked, but with a firmware from Vodafone (Comes with 3 Vodafone apps which are easy to uninstall). Also the Active CSC code = ATL.
I am from Spain, so I wanted to flash the firmware with the one which says PHE, thi sone in particular

My understanding is that by flashing with PHE, the firmware would not be tied to any carrier in particular? And it should show as PHE in the phone INFO app?
Also, I always have seen the CSC blank, even before flashing, except for the "Active CSC". Is that normal?

Hi
Changing the active CSC is not as easy as it use to be, before just flashing the correct firmware and booting the phone with the right SIM was enough
There are a couple of options using a dialer code , myself i used that method to change from GTO to PHE , I see you have the latest firmware I do not think they will work anymore , you can try if you want check here
If that does not work your only option without root is samkey ( pay)

Help Odd SM-M205M or F

Hi, I need to ask for help, I have 2 brand new phones that work ok, 4gb ram and 64 storage, and I need to update them, but:
1.- Phone's model, baseband and software version: Model: SM-M205'M', Andoird 8.1.0, Samsung experience 9.5 Baseband M205MUBU1ASD3 Build Number:M1AJQ.M205MUBU1ASD3
2.- Back Sticker: Model SM-M205'M'
3.- But, download mode: Product Name: SM-M205F, Current Binary: Custom, KG State: Checking. OEM Lock: OFF, Secure downloading: Enabled, Carrier ID: MID, CCIC= S2MU004
4.- Odin "M" firmware, fails in pit, every single one, even combination using bit1 and bit2 firmwares, and even reading pit or extracting the open pit from firmware
5.- Manual Update: Failed to update software/ The operation system on your device has been modified in an unauthorized way. Try downloading software updates using Smart switch on your computer or visit a customer service center. (Smart switch: No update available)
So how to update as M version and not F version, allegedly non rooted as being new, out of the box and how to change the product name, as software, box and back sticker?
if you search the imei info in servers, it states that is a SM-M205F.

This is telling me that the "M" version was flashed on to it (with or without root?)
Have you tried flashing the "F" version firmware?

Hi, thank you for your attention. Yes indeed, the phones are F, if their Product name on download is F, but M box, M back sticker and M full software, non rooted,
I do think that F firmware, will be the best option, but how they managed to flash it like that, firmware from one version on another product name version, without root, so I can replicate it, if needed, because of the LTE differences between F and M, or to reverse it if anything goes wrong.
But in Service provider SW version: OJM region MID, but it is Middle East and SM-M205F is the model according to it?

Hi, after flashing several F versions without issues, I was able to update to the last using smartswitch but at the end, the phone's software went smooth, but if you try to update from menu, the same failed message even after successfully done with smartswitch, and the worst, no signal, afterwards, and the other phone with the M version has signal with both sims from different operators but only one receives calls, the problem is that the one updated is now in Bit8 as SM-M205F, and has signal, imei status ng and MIPI test success, as the other in *#0011#, but can not register on both networks.
