First I apologize for any typos, I'm from Brazil and I'm using google translate...
- Can anyone tell me if RiceDroid V10.1 Obbattu or Spark OS 12.6 ROM is compatible with S20FE 5G? I hate Samsung's factory system for being very limited and I really wanted to install some GSI. Also, if anyone knows any compatible GSI and can send me the link so I can analyze it, I would be very grateful.

hello colleague
It can only be done if the variant is not from the USA. (G781U / G781U1 / G781V /G781W)
In Latin America and other parts, a Snapdragon 5G variant came out
It has an option to unlock the bootloader. (G781B)

if they're GSI roms built for arm64 they should work fine (all other GSI issuers notwithstanding).

Hi all,
So I'm about to buy this phone and really hyped to start flashing.but some of things I am not at all sure of .so my questions are:
1.only the China version is available in my country right now,can I flash xaomi eu or the global rom in this varient?
2.is the China version is going to be the main varient for ROMs/kernels/mods?
3.what kind of Dev support can I expect? Im currently using the redmi note 4 pro (mido).can I expect ROMs plentiful as mido?
If u can answer,it would be really helpful.custom ROM support are what I look for buying a phone.so it's big deal for me.
Thanks ?
1. Yes you can flash eu rom, global not available yet, need to unlock bootloader.
2. Probably there will be both variant support as they use same hardware.
3.when global variant comes out there should plenty roms

Hello guys,
Can someone please help me out? I have a CN version MI 11. I live in Greece. 5G was working fine on both my sims while on CN ROM.
I then unlocked my bootloader and flashed the EEA ROM from here : https://c.mi.com/thread-3603220-1-0.html . Unfortunately this broke 5G service on my phone, I can now only connect as 4G+ maximum even though 5G is selected.
Then I flashed Xiaomi.eu ROM ( from here : https://forum.xda-developers.com/t/rom-miui-venus-xiaomi-eu-rom-for-xiaomi-mi-11.4219357/ )thinking that would fix the issue. Unfortunately the problem persists, nothing really changed.
I suspect this is because my Phone Model Name changed on the 1st flash and my service provider no longer recognises my device as a 5G one. My current model number is M2011K2C, however my last google backup was under MI 11.
This is just speculation though, I am not what is causing this.
Can anybody help me please? What do your guys phones list as model name?
PS : both versions of MI 11 support 5G in Greece, see here : https://www.kimovil.com/en/frequency-checker/GR/xiaomi-mi-11?deviceForPrices=xiaomi-mi-11-cn
I don't think you lost 5G, there is a possibility you never had it.
The CN version with the CN rom shows 5G icon even when you don't have 5G, if there is some 5G coverage. It showed 5G for me even when I didn't have 5G access on my sim. The CN Mi 11 isn't compatible with 5G on some carriers, where the global Mi 11 is. Did you do a speed test? Did you actually have 5G speeds? There are other ways to check if you actually have 5G, but I don't remember the apps, you can look into them. As I've said, I had the 5G icon, but the connection was 4G in fact. When I changed the rom, it showed correctly, as in 4G only.

Thanks for the reply. I actually did a speed test while on CN rom, I hit 400mbps so I definitely had 5G service. On my first post I provided a link that shows both CN and Global version of MI 11 support all 5G bands used in my country (Greece).
This is a software issue for sure, I am just not sure what causes it.
Update :
Flashing V12.0.22.0.RKBCNXM CN ROM restores 5G connectivity. It works fine on CN ROM
5G is not working under any other ROM.
Any help would be very much appreciated
I've just purchased Xiaomi mi 11 cn version was looking to flash global ROM but came across your thread.

Yes indeed, I did try. Unfortunately it only works under the CN ROM.
This is really frustrating as I dont like the chinese ROM and on top of that I can no longer pass the safetynet test because I unlocked my bootloader.

Have you managed to sort out the 5G issue? No one else mentioned this.
How did you get global version onto CN device? When i tried it says this MIUI version can't be installed on this device
you have to unlock bootloader first, and wait 7 days

I have not solved the problem, I am currently using the CN Rom to get around it but I hate the experience and safetynet fails so I cant use Netflix.
I have seen a few others report this on MI Forums but not many as you say. i doubt any developer will help me.

Hello everyone,
Searched the forums and could not find a definitive info regarding this, apologize in advance if i missed it.
I'm soon to receive my mi 11 ultra china version.
Alltough the bands used by all the carriers in my country are all supported, i've read somewhere on the mi 11 forum that the modem settings for china are different from the global/eu rom ( at least for the mi 11 ).
Wanted to know if i flash the original global/eea rom from xiaomi via the official tool, will i also get the modem configuration from the global/eea rom ? ( Just like the global mi 11 ultra )
Cheers !

i think you can BUT, don NOT lock the BL when you have a cn version running global or EEA.
As far as i know you can flash other versions as long as you keep BL unlocked, or it wil brick and you need EDL

There is a method on YouTube but I haven't needed to try it yet
When you down load the ZIP document with ROM every week, boot (kernel) & device ... Some instances it is also called modem or baseband (no idea what is the right ... I have Mi4w with miui7 ultimate international builders model.

If you mean the modem configuration like unlock needed bands it won't work.
I am not sure, but I guess it can be done. As far as I know, you can flash other versions after you keep the BL unlocked, I hope it works for you.
I'm on a china model in the US with the global rom installed...I would love to be able to use 5g. I would have to believe that if the hardware supports 5G and the modem software is preventing it there must be a way to get it to work.

This is an older thread but wondering (1) did the baseband change to global after flashing the global rom? (2) Did it then pick up the band 66 (IF broadcast by your carrier in your area...not necessarily everywhere) Thanks
edit...folks are imo incorrectly focused on 5g (getting 5g or not) as its deployment is very spotty. Further if you check via signal check lite or Lte discovery apps, you will see that even if the phone shows 5G in status bar (lots of folks say they 'get' 5g based on that) the actual band is an LTE band usually (this is even with Apple iphones-have tested them out both on Tmobile and AT&T in my area...the 5G is mostly bunk imo and just marketing). ANyway, I digress. Does the flashing of global rom change the baseband to the global baseband and is the phone then able to pick up LTE 66 IF broadcast in your area?
Some stock ROMs have been posted by oppo as part of their rollback guide from android 12 beta.
You can find both the andriod 12 beta OTA updates and full colorOS 11 ROM at https://developers.oppomobile.com/wiki/doc/index#id=91
ROMs are available for these versions:
Find X3 Pro (CPH2173) Taiwan
Find X3 Pro (CPH2173) Australia
Find X3 Pro (CPH2173) Singapore
Find X3 Pro (CPH2173) New Zealand
Find X3 Pro (CPH2173) Switzerland
Does this mean that someone owning a Chinese version can now replace that by a Swiss version?
Bit strange that they are not 'meant' for members of the EU.... Something to do with the more stringent privacy laws there?
What is the difference between these roms? Does it mean we have different hardwares in so called global versions cph2173?
I noticed that my OTA to A17 had 300 MB (phone from Thailand) but for others from France and Spain it was only around 160 MB.
In addition i have dialer/contacts/messaging app from Oppo + AppMarket (ofc Google Play and google services as well) + Theme store...They have google dialer and messaging app, no AppMarket and no Theme Store.
How to install an Ota from Switzerland on a Italian version? It says verification failed
It is anyway a Global version?
For some stupid reason i need to test this because OPPO did not activated 5G in Finland (completely common bands). Madness! In the A.12 firmware 5G was working and then stopped working! I tried the 3 major operators.

I have been offered a Redmi Note 10 5G.
It is an EEA model running (I believe) V12.5
I need to flash it with the Indonesian ROM (like I have with my Redmi Note 9) so I can use Call recording.
I can find V13 of the ROM but believe that it has problems with sound on voice and Whatsapp calls. so I need to find an Indonesian version of V12 just in case I have the sound problems and need to re-flash it.
Can anyone help point me to where I might find the appropriate version?
Thanks

Does the model matter - are the ROM's different - are all 3 available?
