Unlocking replacement Mi Mix

I registered a mi account, bound the phone number for my Mi Mix to that account, applied for unlocking permission, waited 3 days then flashed the global rom to replace the China rom. No problem until I dropped and broke my Mi Mix. I have now purchased another new Mi Mix which has arrived with the China rom and I want to flash to global rom again. This new / replacement phone has the same phone number / sim card as the first phone. Do I sign in to my mi account on the new phone and apply for unlocking permission? Or should I set up a brand new mi account for the new phone. On the miui forums people are telling me I can unlock the new phone with my existing account but I would have to wait 30 days to unlock. Others on the miui forums are telling me to register a new account so I only have to wait 3 days. Any suggestions?

Generally they let you unlock 1 phone per month I have heard, and that has worked for me.
That would be 30 days after you unlocked the first Mix, not 30 days after purchase of the second one.
But I have also heard that heavy users on the MIUI forum can get special treatment, and unlock more phones more often.
You might not be able to register a second Mi account using the same phone number, not sure about that.

how to bypass Mi account of original owner

hello the community,
have recently purchased a Mi mix from a friend,(for my girlfriends son for passing his GCSE's), who purchased it from facebook marketplace when we rebooted the device to clean it for the young lad we found that the original sellers account was keeping the device locked,so we tried contacting the chap but to no avail he seems to not want to reply to any messages sent to him,either via facebook messenger or email,so am looking for help on bypassing the original account so i can give this phone to this hard working lad who did so well on his exams through these troubling times of lockdown and covid-19,now for anybody asking THIS IS NOT A STOLEN DEVICE it was purchased in good faith but this is an issue i cannot seem to solve,i have tried the Mi unlock progam on my PC with no luck,Mi PC suite with no luck,numerous videos on youtube with no luck if anybody could help that would be much appreciated

As I understand it the device is locked to the previous owners Mi account, which lock is actually located on a Xiaomi server somewhere, not in the device itself.
As soon as you start up the device, running any version of MIUI, and give it internet access, it will check and discover it is locked.
If you have proof of purchase you could try contacting Xiaomi support and ask them to remove the lock for you.
Otherwise you really need the former owner to remove the device from his Mi account.
He can do that remotely if he has any other Xiaomi device registered to the same account.

Can I add another MI account without removing the previous accounts?

Redmi 4a mi account locked

I've this Redmi 4a device which i don't have access to the number and forgot the password of mi account tried pretty much every method that's available on the internet but didn't get the job done. well i did bypass activate account screen but after connecting wifi or mobile data it goes back to locked screen which asks for mi account password and i don't remember the password nor the number.
if anyone could help me guiding the right way to solve this problem. i would appreciate any help!!

Redmi 8 Mi Account Locked Question

Hi guys, my cousins redmi 8 is mi account locked after he performed a phone reset and forgot the password of the mi account and he doesnt have his old phone number aswell that was bounded to the mi account, so i started trying the usual tricks you find on youtube but nothing woked, so i was thinking is it possible to remove the mia ccount by installing a new rom on the phone?.

your only bet is to take it to a service center, with proof of purchase and everything else. even with a new miui rom itll still ask for the mi account. if youve used a custom rom before, you should be able to get out
let that be a lesson learnt, dont casually use phone numbs and emails like theyre nothing

Question Mi ultra system has been destroyed

Hello maybe someone can help me with this issue? I can pay money no problem i just need this phone working.
My wife was using phone and, just died. when you turn on it says system has been destroyed.
I took phone to few technicians and nobody could do anything, I tried unlock tools and other things:
It says phone is locked. ( i signed to xiaomi account and like my tech said deleted phone from that account ant still has same issue.
I can pay money if someone can help
