Question unlock sim pixel 7 ? - Google Pixel 7

My pixel 7 after the latest security update no longer uses the old sim unlock method (via adb command). Is there currently any method to unlock sim for pixel 7? Thank

Sorry if I can't offer any solution or advice, but I was wondering; were you using this old "sim unlock method" before the latest security update? Like before February? And because of the security update, your Pixel 7 is now sim locked now (when it wasn't before)?

will we ever get a Nokia 8 custom ROM?

The official bootloader unlock method has been out for a while. Its almost 2 years since the phone has been released. I was hoping by now maybe some developer would have picked this phone up and put it to use. Is there a reason why nobody has bothered to start development on this phone and build a custom ROM? I think this phone has great potential given its specs and price. It would be nice to so further customizations beyond those allowed by rooting the phone.
I could do it too if I had any amount of knowledge about Android development, but sadly im a noobie.
What are your thoights?
It's not possible I guess. And Nokia has locked down. Unlocking bootloader. I have Nokia official app and it says Device not support.

No, Nokia hasnt locked it down. The bootloader unlock method only works up to the November Oreo security update. Just downgrade to Oreo November security update then unlock the bootloader, and then upgrade back to Pie.
See this thread for instructions https://forum.xda-developers.com/nokia-8/development/unofficial-official-nokia-8-bootloader-t3898418
Thanks bro. I have downgraded to Oreo. I got key. Now I can't unlock bootloader just bcos of fastboot driver problem in my pc. Shall I update to pie ? And unlock bootloader in pie.,.

I would suggest using another pc and unlock the bootloader.

Anyone working on at&t root?

As the title asks, is anyone actively trying to Root the at&t version of the pixel 4 xl?

Your phone needs to be bootloader unlocked first. If it is, root was available from day one. If it is still locked, then no. AT&T can unlock your phone through tech support. You probably need to be paid off first though.
So I read that sum unlock will bootloader unlock also. How is this done? Through a sim card?
That's what I was just told.. let's see what happens here..

Once sim unlocked, the option to enable bootloader unlocking in developer settings will become available iirc.
No idea whats up with using a new sim card to sim unlock, if that's actually true or if that guy is full of it. The other thread mentioned its a server setting that needs to be done on ATT's side.

Only AT&T can SIM unlock your AT&T phone. Once your phone is paid off in full, wait 24 hours and then call AT&T tech support or go into an AT&T store. They will SIM unlock the phone, and then the "toggle OEM unlock" option will be available for you to unlock the bootloader.

I always thought it was done via pin input. I know the pixel 4 is different. When I was on chat with at&t I made it clear I wanted to use the dual SIM function in the phone and that it needed to be sim unlocked in order to do so. Supposedly this new sim that's bei g sent to me will sim unlock... IDK.we will see I guess

Go From Android 11 Back to Android 10 With OEM Locked?

I have a pixel 4 XL and it's carrier locked therefore I can't enable OEM unlock to use the flash-all command to go back to an earlier software version. Is there anyway to get back on 10 with a locked bootloader?
Try: https://pixelrepair.withgoogle.com/

If what amguru says doesn't work just wait a few weeks until public beta arrives. Sign up then opt out then you'll get a Android 10 downgrade notification

Unfortunately this did not work for me on Pixel 4 XL AT&t with bootloader locked. I performed both options the second which factory resets any races all data. After the factory reset was complete I still have Android 11 developer on my phone.

a factory data reset will not downgrade your OS it only wipes all data. and unfortunately AT&t just like Verizon is super strict about unlocking phones. unfortunately like another user said above wait for the beta then opt out and you will get the downgrade.

Need Help with bootloader unlock

I bought a new Pixel 4 xl when I tried to set it up, it gave me a notification " Your device is managed by your admin". I tried to enable OEM unlock but it was grayed out. I updated it to Android 12 beta I don't see the notification anymore but still can't enable OEM unlock nor even unlock the bootloader.
I want to unlock the bootloader is there any way to do it?
The phone is carrier unlocked it accepts every SIM card on both Physical and esim.
Thanks in advance.

Can you check the device admins in settings?

Are you sure it's not an unlocked Verizon or T-Mo 4XL? They can be carrier unlocked but still be bootloader locked and I'm not sure if there's any way to tell by the model nbumber or IMEI.

Hmm there is the IMEI will have VXN on it or the serial number will probably show it and such has it
It probably lies in the about phone settings

Just as an aside, I got my 4 XL from T-Mo when they had a sale and couldn't get the bootloader unlocked, but the Soli chip went bad under warranty, so when I sent it back to Google, they sent me an unlocked (both carrier and bootloader unlocked) replacement.

So oem unlock is disabled?
Have you tried resetting the phone?
No, I started with a T-Mo oem locked, but Google sent me back an oem unlocked replacement.
My Soli chip went bad after just a month or two.

Try resetting the phone then check that setting
Could be that google had some type of admin on that is preventing OEM unlocking

Because you are BL locked the only two things you can try are a factory reset from recovery, and flashing a full OTA from recovery via adb. If that doesn't work, I'd be trying to get my money back.
Since your IMEI is permanently stored in a school or company database, the admin error will likely return when the device phones home (at first boot when wi-fi is enabled) and from the sounds of it, a policy has been set to prevent bootloader unlocking. That phone may be new to you but it is likely black market.
Now I understand the problem. I have tried the reset option and full OTA update in Android 12 the error isn't here anymore but OEM unlocking can't be enabled.

Yep. Looks like you were ripped off and will never see the full benefits of having an unlocked phone. Since it was "new" I would be getting my money back.
Oh thank God I came to know this before I buy the phone for myself. The problem is actually happening in my Uncle's phone.
Might have the Verizon variation

Anyone help me relock bootloader Nokia 9 Pureview

Hi all,
My latest Nokia 9 Pureview got from eBay is unbock bootloader ready, so it cant get OTA update. So have any method to get it to re-lock for got OTA update?
Thanks for help and support
Wait... Is that possible to unlock Nokia 9 bootloader? I think that no way to unlock it in the first place.
Are you sure it's bootloader unlocked? Usually when eBay sellers say the device is unlocked, they mean it's not locked down to a specific carrier and can be used with any. Not sure about Nokia's policy on manually updating the device, but no tools exist that I know of for that.
I tried to unlock bootloader on Nokia 6.1 2018 and it works. Google it how to locked bootloader . You will get the procedure
Type this command in adb and fastboot
fastboot flashing lock
