Hi All,
Can anyone tell me if its possible to replace an updated or "hacked" version of the Kaiser video driver?
Im currently running Slingplayer (Which I need to use to watch my SlingBox Sky+ on) on my Kaiser but the FPS is terrible, I noticed that there are different ROM's to flash to which will help but I really dont want to flash my ROM if possible....
So is it just possible to replace the video driver and simply do a Soft Reset?
Cheers for any help!

we dont have a video driver, the rom makes it faster by:how much page pool it has, how the registry is organized and how much ram it makes available. If you check in one of the video driver problem threads there should be methods on putting it there, you just have to SEARCH.
Lets collect information if this would possible at all?
Our Shift have LCD 800x480 native but VGA res. on WinMobile part.
WinMobile have 64K colors limit but not resolution,
take some examples of devices running WinMobile in 480x800 res. like X1,Touch HD..
So I am thinking about drivers related problem-solution,
what's the graphic chipset onboard (maybe chipset is limited)? what's the driver? if it is similar to Touch HD it would be interesting to replace on Shift
Also Yesterday I've try Nyditot virtual screen and set 800x480 with no positive results (it stayed in VGA emulating 800x480).
no surprise there "Nyditot virtual screen" doesnt do nething with the drivers - is pure software emulation... if someone could post the HKLM\Dricers\Display section of the touch HD and the dll that is listed in the subkey i will have a look
Kris
I think that it's not only drivers and the rom.. it's a much more complicated thing for the fullscreen.
Hi @all,
most of the users need full wide screen resolution - but nobody solved that problem at the moment. You must modify the driver on OS Image Level - probaly only system builders know how "how to" :-(
Hi everyone,i have a problem with igo amigo, when i install it,it show me an error
it says"User interface resolution[480x640] is not supported or compatible skin can not be found.Exiting application",Someone can help me???????????
bump up & down. Any help?
You need to find data.gro with graphics for 640x480 res.
Hey everyone
wanted to ask about this problem i have been having with my tab
when i hook it up through my tv or pc screen with hdmi the text and image in general
is very low res or appears very grainy.
Is there anyway to increase it or fix the rough image that you guys know of?
Thanks heaps
I've had the same issue. Thing is my beamer isn't 1080p, it's 720p at the most (I'm talking output resolution, not input wich can be anything).
From what I've read, people are having problem with some TV that are not recognized by the dock as HD. Result is the image is at very low res (720x480 or 720x576, I would guess) even lower than the tab's resolution (which is ridiculous).
I haven't found a fix for that, but if anyone have an idea that would be great !
Put it in landscape, it looks much better on tv.
And when you play videos it change resolution and looks great
Sent from my GT-P1000
If anyone knows anything about this please share as i am having the same problem and its very annoying having spent the money on this dock.
thanks alot guys!
Hi,
Is there any chance to change the resolution or DPI of the displayed Android Auto interface in my car? I have a Discovery Pro radio with a resolution of 800x480 px. The screen has a 8" by which the AA interface is very large. Is there a chance to reduce it? Maybe by changing the DPI. But how to do it?
Okay, so it's still a future song... :/

I have been attempting to do this as well. I am projecting Android Auto to Headunit Reloaded via Headunit server:
Code:
com.google.android.projection.gearhead/com.google.android.projection.gearhead.companion.DeveloperHeadUnitNetworkService
I tried to change the devices resolution through wm, but while the device runs AA standalone in the updated resolution (4:3), it is still projected to HUR in the native resolution (16:9)
Code:
adb shell wm size 768x1024
I emailed the HUR dev to see if he has any ideas

Hello,
i have the same problem in my new Seat Leon. The icons are very big, the resolution is very low.
I have set the resolution in the developer-setting to 720p, but no change.
Any idea to set the icons smaller or the resolution higher?
Thanks.

Hello! Have you solved this? I have the same problem. Thank you!
Come on, why do you need discovery, according to the latest data from scientists, it has been revealed that the probability of getting into an accident when you have a monitor (TV) in the car is 45% higher than without it.I think it's clear that everything is due to the fact that the one who watches TV in the car will distract the driver on the road, and persuade him to watch, and that's just the second when the driver decides to watch, he gets into an accident)An interesting theory, just a destination of some kind)
