The colored notification icons on the always on screen are quite hard to see. The dark red Gmail icon for example barely stands out. Does anyone know if it's possible to show the all white icons here just as on the lock screen?
I use Holey Light which working great. The app has large icons with your own color definitiion and saves battery because AOD is managed.

As far as I know screen burn is unavoidable with the notification bar shining bright white. Best way to minimize it's effects are:
- screen brightness turned down
- downloading Dolphin HD browser and using full screen mode

but can i sent the phone for raplacemant
If its really bad screen burn contact HTC to see what can be done regarding a replacement tomorrow.
To prevent the burn-in you should use a dark notification bar mod, maybe the HTC Sense notification bar.
With black color no pixel gets switched on and the light of the pixels doesn't get consumed (as much as with a white bar).
Launcher pro has an option to hide the notification bar. You can find it on the market.
I use ADW launcher which gives me the option to hide the notifications bar, and use the Dolphin HD browser in full screen mode.
If you want the notifications bar then just root and install a dark/black bar.
Hey,
Im looking for an option to change one or several of the following options:
- change quick settings font color in notification panel
- change font color of app notifications
- set background color for app notifications only, not quick settings background
take a look at this screenshot: http://i.imgur.com/KnWq2s1.png
I want to keep the blurred style with 100% transparency for the quick settings background. But the black text from app notifications is hard to read sometimes, so I would like to change that to white. If that's not possible, make quick settings font black as well. If that's not possible, add a white background to app notifications only.
I can't find anything how to do that. Hope somebody can help me out.

wow, after searching for hours with no result, I found something shortly after I made this thread. I used this to achieve this
so you used this to change the background of the notifications from white to match your selected notification background? I have been trying to figure out how to make the notification background not white...

Well, yeah, I changed the notification background color with LPThemer, but that's not what this post was about and I did it because of another reason. I was just looking for something that allows me to change text color of notifications, because the default black looks ****ty with transparency. It's default black because the default background is white. I used Blurred System UI to make the background transparent as well as add the blurred effect. Then I used LPThemer to change notification text color to white. Then I noticed notifications background was still white (not transparent) in Lock Screen, but the text color remained white. It's hard to read white on white so I used LPThemer to change the background to a half-transparent black. This background is only displayed in lock screen though.

Sweet I think I'm going to do almost the exact thing you did because I can't stand the white background on notifications blinding me at night... Plus it just looks bad. Good to know I can change the font to color to something legible. Good job
Help me

is it still work in android 9 xiaomi?
Hey guys,
I just installed the deep darkness theme on my OPO and the theme over all is great how ever the notifications are almost unreadable. They text is in grey with the background being white. The 'title' of the notification is white on a white background which makes the entire theme somewhat useless. I've tried enabling the notification style from a different theme but it doesn't seem to work.
Even if I reboot my phone, the original deep darkness notifications remain.
Does anyone know how I could edit the text colour of the notifications?
Thanks guy!

In notification style use white color for text and set notification baground color to black and soft reboot or restart system ui.
If this would not worked then u have to change the theme!
And postsuch things in questions and anwsers. That is appropriate threads
Is there a way how to change AOD notification icons? These used are almost invisible, tiny and ugly. Older S9 had black/white flat outline icons that were much better. Thanks!
Hi maybe someone can help me.
I'm using the phone on OxygenOS13. Theme is standard due to the fact that the theme store isn't working probably.
My problem is, after adding the gmail widget on my home screen it gets a light red background. My Gmail settings are dark mode and if I open Gmail it is darkgrey. But at my homescreen the widgets background color is an ugly light red and I have to clue how this can be changed or what causes this?
Does someone also have the same problem?
Greetings!

The widget seems to follow system colors maybe wallpaper based or the default ones that depends on what was your selection
Thank you for your reply. I tried changing the accent color. But this doesn't help. The background is the standard one. But I'll try changing it. Ist there a setting to toogle if it depends on the background or not?
I am having the same issue. When I change my background to solid black, it always adds a green tint to some apps and the keyboard. I have tried about every setting to stop it in the wallpaper and home screen options, but it won't. Not sure what to do.
**EDIT... I found the answer by some stroke of luck. It would seem it's a google thing. My accent color looks exactly like the full screen pic included in the post below. There is no way to turn it off. **
