Dear community, I have been struggling for some days already with my eSIM configuration and my Pixel 7.
Situation:
- Stock/Non-rooted Pixel 7 Build N: TQ2A.230305.008
- Carrier Unlocked
- Living in Belgium / Carrier of eSIM is Mobile Viking
Problem:
I was running my phone with a pSim and and eSim both activated at the same time (different carriers) until I suddenly lost network. I trying to desable/enable my eSIM hoping to fix it but it never turned on again ("Cannot activate carrier" or smth like that). After that I ended up doing a factory data reset and that did remove my eSIM but now I cannot add a new eSIM anymore ("Network not activated"). My carrier says that my eSIM is active on their side...
What I tried so far (from looking around):
- Gazillion reboots
- Remove updates of Sim Manager: Error
- Factory Data reset via recovery: Error
- Flashed stock firmware of Nov '22: Error
- Add eSIM without pSIM inserted: Error
- Disable "Private DNS" option: Error
- Disable "Adaptive connectivity" option: Error
- Played with the *#*#4636#*#* menu: Toggle DSDS, changed Preferred Network Type (not persisting), Change Radio Band to Automatic/Europe, Toggle Radio Power
- Different eSIM/Number combo (same carrier - Mobile viking)
Other observations:
- pSIM is working
- After reboot it takes long time (~2-3mins) to get network connection with my pSIM
- After reboot it takes long time (~2-3mins) until I have the option to add an eSIM
- After the error, if I click to see the "EID number" I get EID not found. I have the number however from the box of the device
I really appreciate any help/ideas to try! Thank you!
My thoughts on this is that it really doesn't look like a device/Pixel 7 problem; especially considering you've factory reset the device already.
It has to be the carrier (Mobile Viking). Call them and insist it is on their side (servers). Keep trying to elevate to a higher supervisor until you get someone who is more knowledgeable or actually has the capability/authority to make changes on the server system side to make any actual troubleshooting steps. I would insist, if anything, removing the eSIM from being "active on their side" -- as to "re-register" it into their system -- but only if this doesn't somehow invalidate your cell contract with them. At worst, usually they have special "teams" that look into specific cases that need particular care that you can try and insist opening a "ticket" with them on...
Hi, did you find a way to fix the problem? I have the same problem with my pixel 7 an mobile vikings, after my esim from mobile vikings worked for 3 months without a problem.

Hey, no still not a solution.
I also tried a completely new eSIM+phone number combo and that also failed.
I am in contact with Google support but struggling with the first levels of technical support for now.
When did your eSIM stop working? Do you have the date or a specific event in mind (after switching to roaming, reboot etc)
The problem started this Monday afternoon for me. There was no special event, my phone was on my desk, I just received a message that my other sim was selected as default for calls and messages, and my esim from mobile vikings was inactive.

@Hromb Did either of you try to get a physical sim working with that particular carrier? Maybe you can swap sims if you can get it working that way. This is not a Pixel issue but a carrier one as mentioned above. They just disabled your eSim the same way the can enable it, by unregistering it remotely. Kinda lame seems to me and a signal to maybe look for another provider.
Thank you for your replies. I doubt more and more that this is a carrier issue though.
Physical Sim indeed works ok from the same carrier. But no eSIM I can get registered. I tried as well with a completely new eSIM/number combination and it is still not working.
And still my phone has no Network icon for 2-3 mins after reboot regardless of any Sim.
@Hromb, does your phone behave the same?
I am in contact with Google tech support and they seem keen to inspect my device and replace it if it's problematic.
I have the same behavior indeed. But I received an answer from mobile vikings, that they caused the problem, only their solution does not work for me, because I can not find the setting they told me to change.

What makes you doubt that this is a carrier issue? Just because a pSIM works doesn't guarantee that an eSIM will...
I'd be more convinced if you tried eSIM on any other carrier and it also did not work for that carrier than having multiple eSIM number/accounts not working with this one carrier.
It doesn't make sense that it worked (activated) for a little bit, then all of a sudden it didn't; even after a factory reset. If it was a device issue, I imagine the eSIM capability would either work or it wouldn't at the outset.

Based off of Google Translate, it does seem that Mobile Vikings did admit/claim responsibility that it probably is the issue of them "updating all of [their] SIM cards".
It's obvious that they aren't familiar with the Android OS version 13 or the Pixel 7's, I imagine they are trying to reference an old setting on Android OS where you could set "network type" to "global" or some such. I imagine what they wish you to look at is in you SIM setting, under Network, to deselect "Automatically select network" and "Choose network" to something specific to Mobile Viking's carrier (i.e. 5G, VOLTE, Global, etc.).

I'm also wondering if they know how to implement this on an iPhone which basically started the eSim craze, thankfully. Back in the P3a era it took Verizon well over 2 hours of messing around to finally find a tech that refused to give up and we got it. If they are unfamiliar with the technology they'll take him all over the place, EID, IMEI, what's the network say, delete the eSim, reboot, scan another code, etc. For now his best bet is to just work with the pSim and wait 6 months and try again.

Fascinating...
And exactly supports what I was saying; I doubt that this is a device issue rather than an issue with the network/carrier. As with your explanation/example, it just goes to show how anyone who they might be speaking/dealing with might be incompetent/unknowledgeable on the matter, implying it has to be the device and not their own inability...
And, if what @Hromb's reply from them is accurate, they are in the middle of upgrading the SIM part of things that giving & waiting some time (6 months is what you suggest) is the most advisable thing than anything...
I have the same issue. Sent the phone back to google and they replaced the screen... Still have the Sim issue reported here :-(

Tell the carrier to deactivate the esim without losing your phone number, just a precaution. Have them send you a new activation code and keep doing it until they get it right. They should require the Eid and IMEI of the second sim. And don't let them get away with saying it's the phone, it's not. It's them..
Ok, First I did not lose my phone number and they sent me a physical Sim for now.
I tried to activate another provide eSim and it is not working. I think just like spirosbond doing a factory reset deleting that eSim did something to the phone and it seems to have lost it EID somehow. A brand new Pixel 7 will show me the EID per these steps
Find your phone's EID numberTo find your phone’s EID number, check:
Your phone’s box.
Your phone’s Settings app:
Tap About phone
SIM status. Find “EID.”
To find your phone’s EID QR code:
Open your Settings app.
Tap Network & internet.
Next to “Mobile network,” tap Add
Download a SIM instead?.
Tap Next
Activating in a store?.
Mine will say: Device EID not found see screen shot
Working Pixel 7 (Left) My pixel 7(Right)
@Brunob All they really need is the info on the box, be it the IMEI or that other long number. I think once they put the IMEI into their system it will generate the code they need. If they don't know what they are doing there is nothing you can do. It's not the device, it's them. Once you delete the eSim everything gets wiped out until the carrier puts it back in to their system. It happened to me but I found a good tech that didn't give up. It took a couple of hours and I probably scanned 5 or so codes until the tech figured out what they were doing wrong.

As for the eSim I already tried with 2 provider and they could not make it work. Even with the EID from the box... I am convinced that something is wrong with the phone because of this issue
- After reboot it takes long time (~2-3mins) to get network connection with my pSIM
- After reboot it takes long time (~2-3mins) until I have the option to add an eSIm
Trust me I tried everything. And I am a software engineer so I know how to troubleshoot

Then you have to wait until they catch up. Or find another provider which is difficult. Use the pSim for now, it's all you can do.

Already on pSim and talking to Google Suppprt. They already got it and the work order was mixed up and they replaced the screen... Sight...
It is a phone issue (hardware or software) not a provider issue.

Hello everybody, I'm writing you from UK, where I bought a second-hand G1 (absolutely perfect!!! really good). The phone is T-Mobile branded and factory-default cleaned. Once I got it, placed my italian H3G sim inside, and (of course...) it told me that it was locked. I purchased a key (...I know may I could do without it... but very few time to spend, these days) and it was succesfully sim-free. Then I reebot it, and start the acrivation... that doesn' run!!! I insered the correct APN parameters, I also tried with a UK O2 and Vodafone sim, but, problem is that the gsm segnal level (small icon on the top with 4 vertical bars) is not giving signs of life, and it has a small "cross" on the left side. Of course I can't get the registration... I can't get the line!!!! why does it happen??? all the sims are correctly recognized (ask for the pin and the "no sim" messages and icons are off), but no way to go over...
Please, help me in any way, just 1 more day here, then I'll go back to Italy... far from the shop!!!! HEEEEEEEEEEEEELP!!!!!!!!!
If you type:
reboot
and press enter. If the phone reboots you can have a chance, if the phone does not it means its on a updated version which you will have to downgrade. While downgrading i recommend going up to Rooted versions of android. Although you might not need it.
You should look here:

and/or here:

You can get through your problem, if its just the registration. by simply following a few of the instructions in the first link combined with some of the instructions in the second link.
@elmejor: He didn't even mention rooting. His problem is he can't get his phone to associate with the networks on his sim.
@tony_m78: You should probably post what apn settings you are using. Also, this is NOT A DEVELOPMENT ISSUE and should not have been posted in this forum.
thanks gor your answer.... I have been to those links THOUSANDS of times, within yesterday night and today... but I really can't get a solution. I can't go over the "error connecting to server" page :-(
The worst problem is that I really don't have time NOW, but I'll have it at the end of the week; I know I'd get a solution, working on that... but really I can't. But whay do you think about the absence of segnal? is it normal?!?
Tomorrow morning I'll find the way to buy a T-Mobile original sim and try to see what happen. . . . . . but that's strange!!!!!!!! not normal... i insered a correct code (generated from the IMEI), the answer was "unlocked", free for others carriers.... BUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUU!!!!!!!!!! :-( tic tac tic tac. . . ..I don't have time!!!!!!!! :-( nobody experience this strange problem?!?

...I don't think the problem is the APN, I set the correct one (from Wiki) for H3G Ita and for O2 UK (these are the sim I tried with); the problem is that the segnal is ZERO, like the sim is not present... BUT IT IS, it ask me for the pin and accept it....
Can you manually select the network to connect to? Settings>Wireless controls>Mobile networks>Operator selection
Are you sure radio is working on this phone? Maybe it has some physical problems (like bad gsm chip)... Or - maybe you have sim cards not acceptable in UK.
Try with T-mobile sim first. If not working:
I would try to factory reset device some times, if it don't help I would try to reflashing it (firmware and radio). But in your case I think you should ask about this situation in shop where you bought it (if you have warraty) first.
Data plan?
I had a similar problem when I got my APD1 phone in the US. When I returned to the UK, I put in my Tesco SIM and the phone signal strength icon had an 'x' indicating not connected or no signal. Eventually I used my home wifi to activate the phone. After the phone was activated, the same SIM was able to connect and the signal strength icon worked normally.
BUT, it turned out that all I probably needed to do was to have a SIM with a data plan (which mine didn't at the time) <<BLUSH>>
Have you confirmed that your SIM has data turned on?
Of course ensuring that the APN settings are correct is also necessary. (But it sounds like you did that)
Every day I travel on the London Underground and obviously lose 4G signal when I am below ground.
Since the last update a week ago to 10.2.26.0, when I come back into a 4G area I cannot use any data services without either rebooting the phone or toggling Mobile data on and off, which is very frustrating.
The bars will show full 4G but no data will flow on any app until I do this.
Has anyone else experienced this?
Same on mine...
Yes same issue here
I had this happen to me earlier and it turned out that the access point settings had been altered at update from one firmware to the next. The system tries to install some generic APN-settings based on my operator’s name as my operator has no automatic way of installing them the usual way on this phone as it does on the more commonly used brands.
Check with your operator what the settings should look like and enter them under the access point settings for the sim-card if the current ones look off. Just an idea because I had the same problem going back to 4G from Wi-Fi. Reboot or airplane mode was the only thing to fix it for me. To be more exact it was the address for the setting “APN” that was wrong for me. The system had put an address that wasn´t a valid IP-address. Obviously, Xiaomi had tried to guess the address based on my operator name but got it wrong. As soon as I got the right setting in place all problems were gone.
This problem got worse as I had activated LTE voice calls. Before that it only happened occasionally, but with LTE-voice calls activated it happened every time I went from Wi-Fi to 4G.

Doesn't seem to be the issue. I am on EE here in the UK and the APN is correct. Can't see how toggling data off and on would resolve this if the APN was wrong anyway?

I can see that but still, do a trace route for apn.fastweb.it and it can´t solve that address so there is something wrong with it. Anyway hope you will find the culprit of your problem!
I almost have the same problem .. after a phone call 4g disappears .. After the talk 4g comes back but the data connection does not work anymore .. Data off and switching on is the solution. I have send my phone back to the retailer i hope dee can fix the probleem.
I have the same issue.......latest Global Beta......switching data off and on for now....and hoping that fix is coming as it is annoying...
Okay so this is found to be experienced by others - how do we bring this to Xiaomi attention? Right now a phone that just randomly chooses to lose data capability is useless, as I lose notifications, messages, home automation activity prompts, Ring doorbell alerts, Nest smoke alarm alerts - pretty much renders the phone useless if I am not connected to WiFi, and the worst is not knowing it's stopped working till I try something.
One thing you could do if you have activated VoLTE is to deactivate VoLTE. If this makes a difference it sugests that something is wrong in your local configuration. Otherwise you may have to take it back to the seller.
Same problem here in Germany with o2.
I just found this solution to slightly another but very similar problem and I'm testing it right now.
Go to the APN settings (Settings -> SIM card Settings) and better do a reset to default (not necessary). Choose the o2 option and in a field called MVNO type select IMSI. You should be fine.
Will report back if this worked.

VoLTE is not enabled on my device, but this doesn't sound likely anyway - I have had the phone since the first week it was available in Europe - over 3 months - but the data stopping working only happened with a recent update. Anyway, this thread and other forums suggest this is a wider issue - can't see that sending it back to the retailer will achieve much as the replacement will likely do the same!

Any news here? I'm still stuck with this annoying problem.
I'm on MIUI 10.2. 9.0 Global and no updates available.
Just came here to say I have he same problem. Not really too annoying as all it takes is toggling airplane mode off then back on after a couple of seconds. But sometimes I don't even know the problem has surfaced and I end up missing notifications.
It happens sometimes even after I enter an elevator then leave.
My phone is constantly being interrupted by this annoying popup: (I can't post links being a new user, but the image is at imgur FN7uUhL )
"Alert
Sorry, we're having trouble connecting. Make sure you have a good signal and try again. If you still can't connect, call us at 800-922-0204.
Error code 1001"
It doesn't say what app it is, but I suspect it's from Verizon because the phone number is theirs.
My phone is unlocked and I use it on Personal in Argentina. I've used this phone for years and this only started happening last Thursday out of nowhere. No new apps, no system upgrade.
Rebooting the phone doesn't help either, and I wouldn't want to factory reset if it can be avoided. Any ideas what this might be?
Thanks!
same, just today noticed this on an older LG G4

SOLVED I had the same problem as well but I found a way to get rid of it, you gotta disable the My Verizon app and then 1 settings then mobile networks then network mode and set the global off to LTE/GSM/UMTS and then it will not pop up anymore, your welcome.

Good news, I found the locations since I don't have "my verizon apps" Bad news, the fix does NOT work at all.
Solved
I actually got online with Motorola because I knew that the app causing this nightmare was Verizon Login . The problem is that I debloated all my Verizon and the problem still occurred. But then by going through Settings | Apps | ... |Show System, I say the bugger was still there. I disabled it and the problem was solved. Of course this worked for me because I'm on an unblocked phone and note using Verizon.
My husbands Samsung Galaxy S7 has been doing this for over a month. He tried disabling anything Verizon related and even a factory reset and it's still doing it.

Yes, I did same with my note 4, still there. IGNORE those solved posts, this problem is NOT solved. I use T-mobile prepaid with this phone and since verizon locks the boot loader, there is not yet a rooting solution for this phone and since it's a note 4 there will not be one forthcoming.
fixed it permanently
SOLVED: I have two Verizon phones that I now use on T-Mobile and this has worked for both.
Settings->Apps & Notifications->App Info (options may be slightly renamed on different versions of Android, may be Applications instead, just get to the big list of applications in the Settings app)
then hit the triple dot/menu thing to give extra options and choose Show System
Scroll down and choose Verizon Login and disable it and force stop it.
Message will be gone forever. I've rebooted both phones several times and the message has never come up again.
In addition, disable permissions of My Verizon: SMS, phone and GPS location, your welcome

So I have an old Verizon tablet that is running android 5.1.1. I don't have options for "show system" or "Verizon login" that I can find. Anybody familiar with this 5.1.1 that knows where it would be or if I'm overlooking. Thanks.
Awesome! I'm using an unlocked Verizon LG G5 in Canada and I've been trying for quite some time to get rid of this problem. I've tried all the suggested fixes I could find on the net and this is the solution! Thanks so much buddy. Much appreciated eh!
This problem started recently for me on Samsung S6 unlocked Verizon phone that I use with foreign SIM cards when traveling. I tried restoring settings to default, but that didn't work. Then I tried resetting network settings and that appears to have worked. it was popping up every couple minutes and so far it has not.
don't work
i know this is a old post but i changed the network it didnt fix it it made me not have signal and still popped up so i had to change it back to global and its still doing it , it only started last month i have a s6 unlocked verzion its so annoying
Solved - BIG TIME!!

I had the same problem on my unlocked S6 Edge and knew that the Verizon Login app was the issue but the damn phone wouldn't let me disable it; grayed out. I bought an app in the Play Store named "Package Disabler Pro (Samsung)" for $2.99. The thing will let you disable ANY software whether built in or not. So once you launch, disable Verizon Login with it and the problem is gone. If you disable "Setup Wizard", you also won't get the stupid message about the SIM not being VZW card when you boot. I disabled all the other Verizon software too. Problem was so aggravating that I got an account here just to share the answer since I figure it has to be driving people CRAZY!!!!

Help!!!
Still having this issue, I’ve disabled all those apps, force stopped them, and it continues to haunt the phone. I’ve called Verizon and they don’t know anything about it, and I’m really about to throw the phone away and buy a new one. It’s an s7 so it’s still a decent phone, but I don’t know what else to do
So Close, but Disable is Disabled

This definitely got me closer. Using this method I was able to revoke permissions which forces VZ SpyLogin to fail so it isn't running, BUT, the "Disable" button is disabled, even if I force stop the app. It's most certainly this application causing the issue. Thanks for the closest solution.
**EXTRA info
This wasn't happening at all on my phone ever, and this is an old one (I need the IR blaster in the Samsung G6). It's an unlocked Verizon branded phone running on ATT network. I factory reset it yesterday and now I am getting this annoying Verizon Login nonsense.
I don't think VOLTE is working for me. Maybe I'm not sure how voLTE works, but on my Nokia 9 and OnePlus 7 Pro I have an icon that says VOLTE.
When I place a call my signal goes from LTE/LTE+ to either 3G/H+. Which I don't think it's supposed to do on VOLTE.
I have:
XQ-AT51
Build Number: 58.0.A.3.170
Google Play System: September 30th 2020
Baseband version: sdx55.rmtefs-00068-13
Carrier: T-MOBILE USA
In Network & Internet > Mobile Network: Enable VoLTE is enabled
In About Phone > SIM Status: Mobile Voice network type is LTE. However, when I'm on a call it says UMTS and HSPA+ for voice and data
In *#*#4636#*#* VoLTE is also enabled.
So, I'm not sure if I'm missing something, but I've never had this issue before on my other phone.
EDIT: Spoke with a technician at T-Mobile and they said everything is fine on my account. Did say to get a new sim card, which didn't fix the issue.

I software repaired the phone and volte is working again sadly I found no other way that doesn't involve that , I too thought it was my sim card/service and switched carriers only to find the same issue but it's fixed now sucks I wasted my time looking for a solution all this time since November

I plugged my phone into my laptop and it installed the xperia companion and I picked software repair which I thought wasn't gonna erase my data but it turned out it's basically like factory reset and then I just reinstalled everything . I then updated my apn settings manually from the TMobile apn settings and it was working like it was before the dumb update but sadly wasted reinstalling but I guess I should've just done this from the beginning instead of wasting all my time fiddling with secret menus, customer service and crap so if you want it fixed definitely give it a try if not hopefully the next update fixes, I'm hoping it doesn't happen again, major time wasted searching the internet for a solution

But yeah definitely back up to a computer or something and/or Google all your stuff before you decide to software repair. If you don't have one maybe factory reset it because I honestly think they're same thing I could be wrong though but I couldn't find any difference on the internet between the two.

I am SO glad I found this thread and it's not just me having this issue.
I originally thought it was Google Voice messing with my phone, since I make calls and texts from Google Voice, and have my incoming TMobile calls and outgoing TMobile calls redirect to be to/from my Google Voice number. But even after removing Google Voice and completely unlinking it from my phone, my phone refuses to do VoLTE calls.
When receiving a call, the phone will drop down to HSPA+ and sometimes, it takes so long for it to do this, my phone only rings once before I just end up getting a missed call notification. Meanwhile, the caller says they were ringing for the full 30 seconds. Similarly when I make a call, the phone drops down to HSPA or even EDGE to make a call. When I hang up, or get off a call, boom, back to LTE or LTE+.
I went to a TMobile store and they gave me a new SIM and fiddled with my APN settings, to no avail. I haven't bothered contacting Sony, since I figure they will just blame TMobile. The only thing I haven't tried is the factory reset, which is something I very much wanted to avoid, but I'll try it with the Xperia Companion software and keep my fingers crossed. I'll update with my results.
In the meantime, I'm attaching some screenshots of my device info showing the VoLTE is indeed enabled, as well as my APN settings. Maybe they'll help someone here. (WiFi calling is apparently not a thing on this phone, which is disappointing, but I also have Google Voice under normal circumstances, so that hasn't been a problem for me).

I'm in the process of doing the "Repair" now. Hopefully this fixes it. If it does, 1- Awesome! 2- Hopefully it doesn't get borked again when Android 11 rolls around. It's supposedly making its way to the 1ii, but I personally haven't gotten it yet.

Yeah that's what I'm afraid of too i don't want to be reinstalling all my stuff again. If it happens to get stuck on you while you're doing the process just try again. Mine froze during the restarting part of the repair i just held the volume and power button at same time to hard reset it

Yup. My device appears to be bricked. The repair failed on my PC and now when attempting to turn the phone on, I'm met with "Your device is corrupt. It can't be trusted and may not work properly. It will shut down in 5 seconds."
I'm attempting to get it to boot into recovery.
I never imagined my first experience with a Sony phone would be so bad.

Yeah just horrible luck. Still prefer a software problem over a house fire like that samsung fiasco but still . Yeah just keep trying I'm sure there are ways to factory reset it and then software repair it.
R
....and Never forget its
"Enable VoLTE when available"
There might be the network issue too.
I'm in Nepal and the carrier has started VoLTE few days ago but they haven't listed my phone for VoLTE supporting device . They just have iPhone, Samsungs, Xiaomi etc and not SONY but you know what... Its working for me.
HD voice and LTE while in a call too.
Glad I found this thread. I've got an Xperia 10+ doing the same thing under Lineage 18.1 (Mermaid). Will give this a shot and see what happens. Hopefully I don't brick it.
I'm using a p7 non pro in porguese carrier called Vodafone.
this carrier changed a frew days ago theit support policy abour supported phones.
someone already have a pixel 6/7 working with esim on vodafone portugal?
beta or stable build?
best regards
Phone info:
OS: beta t2b2-221216
Root: no
carrier: Vodafone PT/Portugal
last sim type: nano sim
current: eSIM
date of change: 10/Jan/2023
Current state: not working esim.
I have tried last weekend and it does not work.
I think the problem is that the pixel 7 never asks for the esim PIN which is something that Vodafone PT still enforces. This keeps the eSim 'locked' and it doesn't allow to connect to any network.
Let me know if have any luck getting it to work.
i can't tell if it's a pixel problem or a carrier problem.
for me it's a carrier problem.
a few days ago the person who "help me" in store said vodafone doesn't have a esim compatible with all devices. so customers have to wait for it. until when?....
Other said i made a wrong activation and with a new qr code will work.....but not.
carrier forum support said: service is activated but the device did register on carrier network....
what can we do?

I've had eSIMs with PINs (pepephone Spain) and it works exactly the same as a physical SIM. I doubt that's the problem you guys are having.
Hello guys,
What I did and made it work was:
Scan the QR with Google Lens (or inner app for the camera); copy link to clipboard; paste the whole link in the "put esim manually" option. - Don't use the ICCID.
Remember that you need an Internet connection available (Wi-Fi or Data plan) to configurate the eSim.
Hope it helps!
Cheers!

I don't see how that would make a difference given that with the QR code recognises the Vodafone PT esim and adds it "correctly" even though it never asks for a pin thus not allowing it to connect to the network..
But I can try that method next time.
Btw, when adding the esim manually via the link did the phone ask to unlock the SIM with its PIN?

Hi,
I just did it and it worked.
By adding it manually I mean copy/pasting the link the QR gives: not the ICCID. - Just to make sure.
The first time it didnt ask for the pin code. It simply worked (and it's currently working).
Hope it works for you as well, buddy.
I have a few questions for you:
it was a blank esim with new nunber or a swap from a SIM to eSIM?
it was from vodafone portugal?
where do you paste the qrcode link obtained? chrome or other app?
Cheers

- I made a duplicate in a Vodafone Store of my already activated SIM card.
- Vodafone Spain.
- Directly through the phone at "add SIM card" in the Pixel's configuration option. It will pop-up the camera, you press on "Need help?", then select the manual option and paste the link there.
Cheers!!
thanks
vdf pt only suports a few iphone and samsung fones. they only assure the correct use with vodafone mobile phones.
so i will wait until i have more sure about it (p7 family gain suport esim).
cheers
So sad. I'm sorry. I hoped it helped you as it worked for me.
