Question Dropping calls - Google Pixel 7

Sometime in the last couple of weeks my p7 started dropping calls pretty frequently. I updated to the march update as soon as I got the notification for it, and a week later or so mint mobile sent me a notification saying I should turn off wifi calling due to a vulnerability. I did, and it was about that time that I started dropping calls. I read that the march update fixed this on p7s so I turned WiFi calling back on, but I still have been dropping calls. Is this a mint mobile issue? A march update issue? Any tips or fixes? Or am I alone in this? Thanks

My calls aren't dropping although it's possible I wouldn't notice a problem since I haven't been on the phone much lately. Messages over RCS fail more often than usual and I have to resend over SMS. Other than that, Mint seems ok with March update and wi-fi calling off.
If a network reset doesn't improve calling maybe disable 5G and wi-fi calling, at least to see if VoLTE is dropping.

When you make a call, is it dropping to a "3G" connection? If so, you may have VoLTE disabled from the same time you disabled VoWIFI.

[Q] T-Mobile WiFI Calling unreliable

Hi all,
has anyone else seen an issue with T-Mobile WiFi calling being unreliable? Its enabled and the icon in status bar present, but calls immediately go to voice mail. As soon as I disable WiFi calling and it switches back to cell network, calls work fine. Switch WiFi calling back on and it either works again or doesn't , its hit or miss. When I place a call during this time it just immediately drops. Since its so unreliable, I just turned it off completely, but I am curious if others have the same issue.
I am on ARHD 9.0 , but same issue was also on 8.1. I have not been on stock ROM since I got the phone.
Thanks

Nexus 6 UK EE WiFi Calling

Okay so it's official, EE are rolling out WiFi Calling to all iPhones in the next few days with an Apple update!
What I'm wondering is, can I use WiFi Calling on my Nexus 6 if my SIM is provisioned to use it? The latter is not a problem at all, but I'm wondering whether the software (Chroma 5.1 with Franco 26) is up to it!
Can anyone advise?
google will add wifi calling to the n6 when its ready for release. until then, there are apps for wifi calling, and hangouts as well.

My understanding was that the phone and software was already up to the task of handling SIP traffic. I'm just wondering what exactly needs to be changed to allow this. Hopefully Google won't hang around.

wifi calling is based not only on making calls from wifi, but from being on the network then the call connects to wifi, without dropping the call, then can go back to the network, without dropping the call. for that kind of wifi callung, you will also need framework for it. no app will do that for you.

Signal issues?

Is anyone having signal issues with the axon pro? My phone keeps going in and out of signal, and while my status bar says that I have "no service" I will have full bars, but only when connected to WiFi. When not connected to WiFi, all the bars are lost.
Is anyone else experiencing these signal issues or bug of this sort? Just trying to determine the root of the problem.

When did you start having problems? After the latest update?
I think it is a problem with the Wifi calling feature. After trying wifi calling and having problems (the other person couldn't hear me), I decided to turn it off.
After turning it off I started having crazy issues - the wifi calling would turn on even though I had turned it off. After turning off wifi completely, data wouldn't work so I rebooted the phone. After rebooting the phone, I couldn't get a signal at all. I tried rebooting the phone multiple times but the signal wouldn't come back. I switched SIMs and it still wouldn't work. At this point I was thinking there was a hardware problem with the phone so I was considering calling ZTE to get a new one. But I tried one last thing - I turned wifi back on and made a wifi call - the signal came back! So it is a software problem.
So I turned on wifi calling again but configured for "cellular preferred". It seemed to work well for a while, but then a few days later went crazy notifying me every few seconds that wifi calling was turning on/turning off.
To keep the phone stable I have now unfortunately had to setup the phone with "Wifi Calling Preferred". Thankfully soon after I did this I started getting error "REG09: Missing 911 address" so it doesn't try to use wifi calling anymore.
No point calling ZTE support because their phone support is appallingly bad. They won't understand the issue, they won't give me a ticket number. All they will say is either "reset the phone" or try to send me a new phone which will just make me lose time and lose data. They had a website where you could raise tickets for a little while...but it looks like it has been blocked now as it could have been too useful .

Trying posting to their Twitter account and report the issue, that is how i got their attention. Also when you call them (here in the USA) tell them that you have already done a reset on your phone and that did not resolve the issue!!!

I got some signal issues too I only get 2 to 3 tower usually but at time its completely dead and until I reboot my phone signal doesn't Pop up ...and at times even though I have like 2 signal tower it shows emergency calls oly...I don't use WiFi calling as am on straight talk.but the WiFi calling feature suddenly pops up in the notification bar giving an error message u can't swipe that off the notification bar too u gotta go to MORE in settings and switch on and switch off the WiFi calling feature to remove the error msg from the notification bar .
Signal keeps fluctuating call clarity is a lil bit poor comparing it to my old lg g2 . macro focus doesn't work at all u can't focus a thing that's really close in auto. I dono what to do with this phone.it just doesn't satisfy the basic need of a phone voice calls and message(messages take a long time to send ).

I see the same issue. I have created a thread for it. Not sure how widespread the issue is

Again, not worth my breath. If you check the new thread someone called up ZTE about the issue and they blamed it on T-Mobile (which is complete and utter BS). When I called about the camera issues they tried to blame it on Google. Why waste my time to be told lies? The support is completely s***.

Well hopefully ZTE will come out with a fix really soon, I don't think that they want to lose the users they have.......
Loss of at&t signal
In one location that I frequent I always sit there without a cellular signal while people around me are using their cell phones
LTE signal strength sporadic
My Pro shows a few bars for a couple seconds, then NO SIGNAL for a few seconds. ZTE is not fixing this problem? It has been going on since January. Now is September.
For those with this issue, does a factory reset change this behavior, or at least the frequency of it?

Wifi tethering keeps dropping clients off

I share my mobiledata to my kidds while off town.
With my old Galaxy S5 I used to flip the wifi hotspot on on friday and turn it off on sunday - no problems ever.
Now with my Nokia 7 plus (ta-1046) the hotspot drops connected clients off after random period of time. The hotspot doesn't turn off but suddently clients just can't connect to the internet.
I have to turn tethering off and on again to re-establish functionality.
I have the same sim and a same unlimited data plan as before.
If I use my phone while tethering the hotspot drops after 15 to 30 mins. If I leave my phone alone the hotspot might work for hours before any drop outs.
Using 8.1.0 and June patch.
Can someone confirm the same behaviour?
July patch came and didn't fix this issue. Really frustrating.
Sharing wifi doesn't seem to be widely popular because I haven't come across any other user feedback concerning this topic.
Same problem!
Tried soft reboot and support didn't help. sems to be a unknown problem.. or..
I've got same problem with my Nokia. Did you find any solution?

T-Mobile WiFi Calling one way audio

After the connection switches between mobile and Wifi Calling, there is only one way audio, the other party can hear me but I cannot hear the other party. The only fix seems to be to reboot the phone, but after a while the problem is back.
It appears others have the same issues based on this reddit thread:
https://www.reddit.com/r/tmobile/comments/lfm0i6
Any known workarounds short of disabling wifi calling completely?
It seems that if you turn off 5G and prefer LTE, the problem goes away, wifi calling works well. Curious if others are seeing the same things.

Unlocked has nothing to do with bugs. People got the phones form TMobile directly and have the same problems.
i used to have this problem, but I've been on Andriod 12 beta (release candidate that came out a few days ago), and the problem seems to have gone away. I've had no problem with WiFi calling for the last few days --- so I am keeping fingers crossed that there isn't an issue anymore.
