Cannot flash anything - HTC Desire C

Hi! So, here`s a problem. I`ve got Desire C, that boots only in bootloader\fastboot. In ADB\fastboot mode my PC can`t see this device, regarding all needed drivers are installed (I guess... maybe not. Can anyone show me the full list to be sure? I use Dell Vostro 3500 with Win 11 If this is relevant)
Anyway, bootloader is locked, S-OFF & with SD-card inserted, during boot it shows:
SD Checking...

Loading...[PL01DIAG.nbh]
No image or wrong image!

No image!
Loading...[PL01IMG.nbh]

So my questions are: what are these PL01... files and where can I get them? What drivers do I need to see the phone in fastboot mode and where can I get them? Cuz almost every link I find is outdated.
P.S. I realized, this phone became to me something like an old car, my dad is always fixing but It`s never starts))

You don't need them.

Older HTCs will not work with anything above Windows 7
So you need either Windows 7 or Linux to work with Desire C

Thanks! That worked!
For everyone else facing the same problem. Seems like drivers work only on windows 7 (any edition, I worked on Starter-based PC).
I wonder why later wersions of Windows can`t work with these drivers properly?

[Help] How to update rom in a MAC?

Hi guys,
anybody knows how to update the rom in a mac without bootcamp ?
Im actually trying to use fusion; but the device restarts in the boot screen and it stays stuck there, while the program gives me a connection error on the xp machine.
Thanks in advance
Just flash your device from a image stored on the sd card. Instructions are given in the various posts (or wiki) here.
Could be kinda hard Flashing from Storage Card without being able to flash HSPL.

As i said, im using Fusion, (VM), but it dosnt work.
Didnt know (and couldnt find) the sd way to flash it, so i just used a spare win pc lying around here.
Thanks anyway
better try "BootCamp"
I've tried it with Parallels and get the same problem. I haven't got boot camp but borrowed a friends pc to flash the HSPL and then use the storage card route.
Bootcamp might work though.
Parallels works for me. Put your device into bootloader mode, then connect it to the virtual machine.
Its doesn't work for me...I put device into bootloader mode than connect it to Parallels and try to update, but it show me error 260 (connection error)
Paralles and Fusion will work sometime.
the problem is the USB connection....device will not connect always after first boot.
This is a new problem what was not there in the Fusion 1.X and older versions of paralles.
I'm doing the updates via my physical Windows XP system..or the micro-SD card.

upgrade rom htc hd with WM7 64bit

upgrade rom htc hd with Windows 7 64bit creates a problem? can do it without active sync?
edit: does not make me change the title
just copy the .nbh file in your sdcard root and rename it BLACIMG.nbh, turn off the phone and keep pressed vol down + power button, job done, happy flashing.
btw i'm using windows 7 64bit and works fine, you can flash without worries.
What you can try, is to place the HD in tricolor mode, when the device is off, push on the low sound button and keep it press while pushing the power button until you see the tri-color mode.
After that, connect your HD trought USB to your PC. Wait until the PC have load the drivers.
And Run the rom upgrade program "as an administrator".
Normally, it should work.
ALF it works also the old way, just run the RuuWrapper that comes with the rom and it will ask for administrator privileges, press next and update the rom. This method needs active sync.
W7 64 bit and touch HD
I have all my computers with windows 7 64 bit. I have no problem sync the HD, or flash. I have not seen anyone comment about it, so here you go- from trying it, no problems at all. Actully, it works better than it was with XP.

ovviamente non debbo usare il vecchio active sync vero....
course I must not use the old active sync true ....
Thank you all for the clarifications
usually use the USPL but does not work
upgade from the SD don't start remains in bootloader
depend by the SD ....
Please optimize the head of this Thread from "with WM7 x64" to "via Win7 x64". I was really confused cause I wondered if I could find an early WM7 (Windows Mobile 7) in an 64 bit edition in here. Maybe you could change the title to not confuse any more people? WM7 -> Win7!
Thanks,
Future
you know the USPL 2.5 works with Windows Vista?
can someone give a full "step-by-step" to perform the ROM upgrade successfully?
Hi, I referred to this web page:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=3625567&postcount=272
It does not sound as easy as this topic. I tried to upgrade the driver, wceusbsh.sys, Windows does not allow it (said does not match the manufacturer), and the steps given do not work at all. What other software is needed? Please provide link to get them.
I am trying to upgrade from WM6.1 to TOUCH_HD_WWE_21882_231109 (Duly maryone). Thanks for helping. I am using Windows 7 64-bits.
There aren't problems with Windows 7 64-bit and rom flashes. Also, your thread has absolutely nothing to do with Windows Phone 7 so please correct the erroneous subject.

are you sure you understand the issue?
Win7 driver for HTC USB is NOT compatible with those RUU Loader.
And you need to restore the XP one which DOES NOT have digital signature.
Win7 users need to press F8 before booting windows and choose disable signature check (something like that) option. And you will be able to install the unsigned driver for flashing.
So, please correct your erroneous statement.

Need Help My trinity is "bricked"

Hi, sorry to post a new thread
but if anyone out there who would be able to help me out.
I just got my Touch HD stolen and this has forced me to fall back on my Trinity alone again.
The problem is the phone will not boot past a screen with some chinese characters (blue screen in picture) after showing the HTC logo (in the white picture)
If i enter the bootload this is the screen i get (the tri-colour screen)
I have tried everything i can find from SD flashing (doesn't even recognize there is a fileon the SD card, only goes into the tri-color screen with serial at the bottom) to SPLxploit, to mtty you name it. Since t doesn't boot windows, i cant get it to connect to active sync so i can try flashing from the PC. If i cannect it to the PC whiles its in Bootload screen, it shows USB but if i try flashing it tells me ERROR 260 (no connection).
I would appreciate it if anyone can help me out.

Flash a new ROM on Windows 7

Hello,
I want to flash a new ROM to my Kaiser, and I have Windows 7 on my desktop.
Is there a problem with flashing with Windows 7?
Thanks in advance!
No problem whatsoever as long as your drivers are up to date and you flash as administrator. And make sure it's HardSPL'd.

I have been able to do it on Windows 7 32-bit without any problems. The only thing I can say is to make sure that you have the Windows Mobile Pack installed (I think there is a link on this site for the driver pack).
Thanks! Just wanted to make sure there is no problem with it.
No problems with Windows 7 64-bit either

Cant Flash / Hard SPL via USB....any ideas?

Some some strange reason if I try and hard spl / flash via usb method Windowds Mobile Device centre drops out half way through the process (when phone goes into boot screen) and the install fails because the phone is no longer sync'd with the PC....
I have never had this issue before....which is why it is puzzling me..
I get an error message on the PC saying: "Error [206]: Connection"
PC is running Win 7, 64bit if that makes any difference...
p.s do I need to hard spl each time I install a rom? I kind of do it now out of habbit......

Windows 7 x64 is the problem, you need hacked drivers.
update the drivers of your phone with the ones attached here.
You don't have to do HardSPL every time, only one time is enough.

Thanks for the reply.
I have unzipped the folder, but am unsure what I have to do with the files....
Sorry for being such a n00b....
I have a Windows 7 x64 PC and got no problem flashing different ROM's on this thread. As what the others have said, you only need to HardSPL your phone once and then you can flash any ROM you want. You don't need any drivers as I have not installed any on my PC. Maybe your phone's battery is below50% during the time of flashing? If that's a no go for you, why don't you try flashing using the SD Card method?
