Since I was upgraded to "Coolwalk", the task switcher bar is unresponsive to touch input most of the time, and I can only swap between apps using the voice assistant when it occurs.
This happens in wired or wireless modes. Car and all phone software is updated.
Everything was fine before the Coolwalk update.
Has anyone else experienced this?

Not sure if this is a feature of AA or a bug/quirk to my implementation. My Xperia (XZ1 Compact) with Oreo 8.0.0 will not sound an SMS alert when Android Auto is running. I turned off DND which was turning on automatically when AA started, but it doesn't make a difference. I thought it might be the Ford Sync 3 system, but after running without the cable I think I have it isolated to just the AA app in the phone. I'm running the Google "Messages" app (comes with the phone) and Lightflow for notifications.
Can anyone confirm one way or the other how this thing is supposed to work?
This is a known bug, Google has been working on a fix for about a month now
I've got the new AA interface, I just found sad that the shortcut to travel home and work aren't as easy as before. Mainly with the mazda 3 knob which is only used to zoom in and out of G.map.
Otherwhise, I found it force us to touch the screen more than before.
I was hoping to finally have the wireless AA working but it is still not working
Is there anybody with a Pixel 3 which have been able to have it working?
I'm using a pixel 2 xl, and had to manually enable the "wireless projection" option in Android auto settings before wireless mode would work. I've had no issues with it since doing that.
Hi everyone, enjoying my AA tremendously, overall it is running very very well with little hiccups. I have run into some issue when it comes to calls. When receiving or making calls the infotainment would sometimes use the car's dialer which would cause the system to freeze, other times it would use the AA dialer which runs perfectly. Is there any way to make AA's dialer run by default every time. Has anyone faced this issue?

not seeing this being discussed here on xda but I know I'm not alone in experiencing this problem
Basically once connected to car unit, opening up google maps or waze will lead to a freeze
display still shows Maps, and seemingly everything is working in the background but the image stays frozen
typically I need to tap the multitask button, then jump back into the app running Android Auto for everything start moving again
running this on the Galaxy S20
car unit is a Rockchip PX6 tablet as far as I can tell
App that hosts Android Auto is Zjinnovate Zlink (something like that)
works flawlessly with CarPlay.. just not so much AA + Gmaps and Waze
tried: adjusting resolution in dev options
toggling wireless projection
ideas anyone?
I have the same problem ?
use Headunit Reloaded for Android Auto on px6, much better thank anything else, and even works with wireless AA

additional info - freeze only happens when music is playing
playing either from Spotify or YouTube Music has the same effect on either GMaps or Waze
Hello,
I have a Samsung A52s 5G with Android 11 and i'm using Android Auto wirelessly on a Kia Infotainment.
The problem is that I get random mini skips (like old scratched CD), usually a couple of times for every song.
I've tried till now to remove battery optimization for both Spotify and Android Auto but no success... Any ideas?
PS: My old phone with only cabled AA has no problems.
I have same problem.
On cable it woks good.
But in wireless i have spotify microstuttering with my Samsung A52s 5g a Hyundai i30.
