Question Anyone already with success installed magisk 26.1 - OnePlus 10 Pro

Hello,
I'm still on 25.2 and read that many had issues with install magisk 26/26.1 resulting for some in bootloop. So have you installed with success the latest magisk 26.1, if so how did you do it to install it without issues.
Is it save to do it this way.
1* Disable all magisk modules
2* Update magisk manager
3* True magisk manager (Direct install) to install magisk 26.1
4* Reboot
5* Enable all modules again.
Thanks in advance.
Best regards.
ysco..

I was on stable 25.2 and then the v26 was released on the beta channel so I just changed for the beta channel, updated manager and flashed directly without disabling my modules.
Then do it again when 26.1 was released

Just updated to 26.1 from 25.2 with no issues.

Thx guy's for letting me know that all went fine for you . Will update tomorrow in case it goes wrong, then I have the weekend to fix it if needed . It's my business phone
Thx again.
Edit: just installed without issues

@f4bio hello mate, do you think you could update the modules to the Magisk Module Template v4 and issue it to the Magisk repo? Also, tried installing the battery silencer on magisk 13.3 and it just wouldn't work, as soon as I install this module Magisk Manager crashes and when I reopen it all my modules are gone :/ tried twice and failed twice. not sure if it's something about my setup or an issue with compatibility of the module with the latest magisk.

Of course. I'll get right on it.
Which phone/rom are causing troubles for you?
I'll just flashed some of them on my h850/flumics/magisk13.3 without problems.
But, I will look into it asap

I'm on LG G2 and Resurrection Remix, however, I just clean flashed the latest version followed by magisk and your module installed correctly this time. Still, if you could get it added into the magisk repo that'd be really cool. Thanks
Hi, just report that this DO NOT work on Pixel 3.

SafetyNet not passing on Magisk v12 OnePlus3T on 7.1.1

My oxygenOS version is 4.1.6, I installed Magisk with MagiskSU(topjohnwu) today but SafetyNet won't pass. I have MagiskHide enabled.
Any idea why?
Google updated SafetyNet so you're gonna have to use magisk core mode for now to pass safetynet
You can also switch to Magisk 13 which is currently passing for me without issues. I am no longer using any Magisk Modules as having those enabled was causing it to fail.
Or you can switch v13 beta to pass safetynet which is not stable yet

Do I flash the beta directly or must I uninstall Magisk before and then install the beta?
Also, where can I find this beta?
Here is the link

You can dirty flash the magisk v13 without uninstall the previous one but don't forget to update magisk manager app to v5.0.2 or the magisk v13 won't work

Enable Magisk core module in only in the magisk settings to pass the safety net check. this is a temporary fix.
The following module works for me: https://forum.xda-developers.com/apps/magisk/xiaomi-safetynet-fix-t3600431
Using Magisk v12, with other modules working (not just core mode) and it passes Safetynet.
The Safetynet fix does change the device fingerprint, so I think it will screw up (prevent) OTA updates. But you can simply disable the module when an update rolls out.

The actual fix doesn't need the fingerprint change. There's a modified version here that have those prop changing lines commented out.

Is this correct or am i tripping balls?

I've had magisk installed for a week now and decided to try the canary channel and it prompted me for an install which wasn't there before. And this is the result of it. Not sure if I have the most recent version or canary was deprecated and I fked up. Also which one do we install first Magisk or the App? And if canary is deprecated is the Beta channel the most recent version or expiremental version? TIA.

Multi-version update for Magisk on PIxel 3XL?

I have the Pixel 3XL with Android 9.
Magisk indicates Installed 19.3, latest 22.1
Magisk Manager indicates installed 7.3.2, latest 22.1
I'd like to bring Magisk up to date.
Are there any issues or special procedures for performing this update spanning several versions?
Is there a preferred order to update? Magisk first, then Magisk Manager? Or Manager first?
Is a reboot after each update?
It's always the Magisk app that gets updated first. And the reason why you see such a big jump in the app version is that from Magisk v22 the app and the base are no longer separate. It's all contained within the app. See the release notes for details:
https://topjohnwu.github.io/Magisk/releases/22000.html
The reason why you don't see the latest version as v23 (the actual latest release) is that the update channel changed at that point and you won't see the v23 update before you update to v22.1. Rebooting in-between Magisk updates is a good idea. Updating the app all the way to v23 shouldn't be any issue though. You might encounter issues where the app won't recognise such an old Magisk version. I can't remember where the current breaking point is set...
Big update jumps always have the possibility of causing issues and sometimes a clean install might be necessary. But, in theory it should be fine. Just make sure to have a backup of anything important...

Questions regarding updating Magisk

Hi everyone!
It's been about a year and a half since I first installed Magisk on my phone with TWRP and considering that I now noticed I'm getting SafenityNet API error, I wanted to update my Magisk to the latest version and install the Universal SafetyNet module as well to fix this issue.
I just have some questions regarding this:
I'm running Magisk Manager 7.5.1 & Magisk 20.4 repacked and with Magisk Hide, how can I update from Magisk 20.4 to Magisk 23? My phone shows 22.1 as the latest.
Before updating do I need to restore Magisk Manager to the original package and app names?
Will updating Magisk affect my already installed Modules or will they stay in effect?
I'm using a Xiaomi with Android 9 Pie and MIUI Global 11.0.5.0
Thanks in advance.

Maybe let Magisk Manager take you to v22.1, then you'll be one step away from v23.0 and hopefully at some point it becomes available. If upgrading to v22.1 succeeds you'll end up with one app that is Magisk SU and the manager all in one. I mention this in case you're wondering why Magisk Manager disappeared.
I don't understand what you mean about restoring Magisk Manager "to the original package and app names" but your modules should still work after upgrading. Worst case would be a module that didn't keep up with Magisk and isn't supported anymore.

Yes, you do. See the v22.0 release notes:

Ahh, the question makes sense now. I've never needed to conceal Magisk.

Thanks to both of you for the clarifications.
I will unhide/restore the manager and will install 22 before going onward to 23.
