Don't worry. Universal SafetyNet Fix is the one removing Google GMS out of denylist. If the bank app is working, then don't worry.

If banking apps are not working without the tick to Google GMS, then safetynet fix is not working. Try USNF 2.4.0 Mod by Displex.

Actually I installed Blu app and tried. It worked fine for me. Atleast it didn't detect root.
My settings:
Magisk 2.6.1(Not Hidden)
USNF 2.4.0 Mod by Displex
Shamiko 0.7
Denylist : Just Blu App. Or whatever you tick till now.
I think you shud install Shamiko. That should fix your issue.

I have a unlocked, rooted Xiaomi Redmi Note 4 running 7.2.1 (Viper mido version)
Got the Magisk v17.1 update this morning. I needed to remove Magisk 16.x via the uninstaller, and install the new update from TWRP Recovery. (a pain, but it seems to work. regular upgrading has a few issues)
Then I installed my preferred Magisk modules. All seem to work as they should except the Xpose Framework v89-v90b3r11 module. When installed it kills Magisk Hide and SafetyNet fails, when I uninstall it, SafetyNet succeeds again (Magisk Hide is usable).
For for now, until the Xpose Framework module is fixed, if you want to use Magisk Hide, probably can't install the Xpose module.
Cheers,
AB
You won't be able to pass SafetyNet if you have Xposed installed on your device. This has been the same since the start and not a Magisk v17.1 thing.

Funny that, I had it working before. Possibly blind luck. I had Magisk installed and the Xpose Framework, and SafetyNet/Magic Hide was usable.
I just was using only one of Xpose's Module. So I don't need Xpose at all.

Maybe when you were using it, that particular app wasn't able to detect Xposed framework & only checked for root, which was tricked by Magisk Hide. And now the developer might have improved the checks or what not.

Does your banking work without Xposed Installer app installed? My internet banking app detects root if Xposed Installer manager is installed. So what I do is installing or updating the Xposed modules, rebooting, and then uninstalling Xposed manager, and all modules will still work, as they only require that Xposed systemless files (v89.3) are installed.

Yes, it looks like it might have been the way I installed the apk after Magisk, but before Xpose-framework. I inadvertently used some 'loophole' that allowed it not detect root, but still have Xpose installed.

BengaliBhai,
You probably need to reinstall Magisk.
1) Download the Magisk-uninstaller.
2) Boot to TWRPS (reovery)
3) run the uninstaller. (which should bring back your original boot partition)
4) then install Majisk v17.1
5) reboot into system.
Now Majisk Manager should be fully functional.
I ran into this, v17.0 installed, but MM 5.9..0 wasn't working correctly, not showing modules, not allowing access, etc... Then I got the v17.1/5.9.1 update and still did the same. No boot-looping, but 'root limbo'. The above process resolved it all.
Cheers,
AB

Bro use RootCloak Xposed Module to hide Banking app from root and make it usable....
Hi Guys. It's been a while since I've been here on XDA.
I've been trying to log in to Google Chat with my work google account but I am getting the error message "Cannot create work profile - The security policy prevents the creation of a work profile because a custom OS has been installed on this device."
I am not rooted but I am currently running hadesROM v11.0 with hadesKernel-v1.4. (I haven't installed any update for this ROM as I basically quit on modding my phone and was content with the features I have).
I guess, my question is - Is there a way to bypass this error and be able to login with my work google account without rooting or flashing stock ROM?
I am thinking on flashing stock ROM as a last ditch effort but I will be losing a lot of features from this custom ROM.
Any advise or input will be very much appreciated. Thank you!!
P.S. My Bixby button is also gone so I can't get to recovery unless I try to poke something in the button whole. HAHA.

Jokes aside, you should check if Google SafetyNet is passing on your phone! You can download a simple SafetyNet Check App from the Play Store.
You unlocked the bootloader & modified the system, which triggers SafetyNet.
SafetyNet needs to pass, in order for some apps (Banking Apps, Google Pay) & some games (like Mario Kart Tour or Fortnite) to work.
If SafetyNet is triggered, you'll also stop seeing Netflix in the Play Store, and in the Play Store Settings, in the bottom it'll say "Device is not certified".
You can make SafetyNet pass (even with unlocked BL + modified system!), by using Magisk and enabling MagiskHide in its settings.

Hi,
Thank you for your response.
Safetynet does pass and Play Store says it's certified.
My banking apps are also working fine so I managed to stay on this ROM for a long time.
Seems like I'll end up wiping my phone and try other ROMs or flash the stock firmware. I'll keep googling before Saturday comes.

Oof. Ok. As a last resort, you could try Magisk and its MagiskHide feature. In the app you can tell it to spoof to your specified apps.
Dunno if that'll work, but I'm mentioning it because you don't have to reset your system to install Magisk.
Apps can also look for folders like TWRP in phone storage, and then refuse to function. Mario Kart is one of those games that try to search for such folders.
So if you have folders or apps, that could reveal that you're running a modified system, pay attention to that.

What is this deny list? My banking apps are detecting root and is not working. I've enabled Zygisk and enforced it. Added apps to deny list. Yet not working. Any idea
Hello,
I'm using LSPosed 1.7.2 Zygisk with Magisk v24.1 on Android 11 (LineageOS 18.1 on Xiaomi Mi A1) and "Disable FLAG_SECURE" 1.0.1 from lsposed.
I can select which apps to enable for this module clicking on module name and selecting apps.
I'm using "Deny List" on Magisk (disabling enforce) for hiding root (with Shamiko module).

Half your DenyList isn't activated properly. Which means root isn't completely hidden from a lot of apps. Make sure to check all the boxes for each specific app.

Hi,
I just discovered Shamiko which apparently is the successor of Riru-momohider and that it works in Zigysk mode.
I installed it on Magisk 24.1 and I activated the zigysk mode but I don't know how to add applications to hide.
On Riru-momohider it was enough to add them in the magiskhide list but it doesn't work anymore.

Shamiko uses the app list from the Enforce DenyList, but to activate Shamiko, you have to disable Enforce DenyList itself. So: 1) Flash Shamiko on reboot, 2) enable Zygisk, enable Enforce DenyList and configure it - mark all the apps you want to hide root from, 3) DISABLE Enforce DenyList and reboot. Now on, Shamiko takes over the job
This is what i did but Shamiko does not gives me the list of hidden apps in its description text

In the latest Shamiko versions there is no indication about number of the blacklisted processes. It was removed for some reasons unknown to me, but from the second screenshot it is obvious that Shamiko is working fine for you.

Shamiko isn't a universal solution for everything. It hides Zygisk traces, but there are many other things that a bank app can look for, like TWRP files, app with root access installed, USB debugging enabled, etc.

Reboot always welcome if you add new app to the list (although Im not sure if necessary). So just add an app to Configure DenyList and then reboot
Sorry if this is the wrong place for this. I haven't seen this reported yet.
First specs: Unlocked Pixel 6 Pro. February update. Only mods are systemless hosts and usnf 2.4.0 displax mod 1.2. No hide enabled. No google services in deny list.
Opened magisk today and saw there was a canary update. I ran the update. And magisk wouldn't open (flash on screen back to home). Only updated app not boot.
Tried to redeem by:
Reboot
emptying cache reboot (did not work)
Emptying data reboot (dnw)
Installing magisk stable from github reboot (generic app icon no open)
Install magisk last canary (had to go to apkmirror for it couldn't find it anywhere else, works but would rather use official source)
Anyone else experience this with today's? Bookmarked github will wait to update til it shows a further update (unless someone has help for me).
I had the same issue but with originally hidden magisk app.
I got back to the version before the update by removing the hidden magisk (long press, info, uninstall), uninstalled the new canary (same way) and then installed the last version (25206) again.
now it works, all modules are there, all settings are back.
