Question SM-G998B DS / SM-G998BZKGPLS missing oem unlock - Samsung Galaxy S21 Ultra

Hi, (sorry long question)
My screen has small black spot in the upper right corner, I have been desperately trying every method available online to hide the notch or resize the screen but nothing works.
Overscan ( doesn't working anymore)
Hide notch in dev mode (Samsung removed it)
Nacho notch and other apps (not convinet)
Changing resolution using cmd (blacks big portion of the screen up and down as well)
Now I am trying to root the device to hide the notch using magsik but oem unlock in dev mode is missing tried changing the time and date method but didn't work, then tried installing different region rom (CSS-AP-BL-CP) but still no oem unlock and the rom still shows the carrier logo.
Is there any method to hide the notch without root?
Is the bootloader for my device unlockable?
Thank you for your support

It's a Exynos device, so the bootloader should in theory be unlockable.
Changing the ROM region won't enable OEM unlocking.
My recommendation: Perform a factory reset, connect to the Internet via wifi, then check for updates in system settings. Then, check to see if OEM unlocking is available.

[Exynos] Questions concering OEM Unlock

-This is probably going to be confusing and a bit all over the place, bear with me.-
So, I bought my N8 back in November and directly went in to the dev options and saw OEM Unlock was available.
Now I didn't bother with it and now recently I've been thinking about rooting it, the catch is I've seen countless threads claiming a notorious "RMM"-lock taking place and putting devices in to "Jail".
Here's the sketchy bit:
- I rebooted and checked in DL-Mode and saw no particular line referencing RMM. Then after some reading got buildprop editor and checked what the "ro.security.vaultkeeper.feature" status was; It's 1.
- Rebooted again, double checked and no RMM entry.
- Enabled OEM Unlock and rebooted about 3-6 times (no flashing done) and it booted up fine with the OEM Unlock setting still enabled and present.
- DL Mode still does NOT show any RMM message or line, just "OEM lock" and "FRP lock" are off.
Am I missing some information as to how the "Jail" is triggered or does flashing only trigger the "Jail"?
BTW, here's info on my device:
- N950F, unlocked, Germany
- On latest January Patch, N950FXXU3BRA2
- Non-branded, but marked as DBT

You unlock the toggle and flash twrp, etc., then when you boot back up you must ensure the i.e. unlock is toggled on (or else toggle it). Otherwise you'll end up in jail when you reboot again, since you flashed custom and didn't unlock OEM before the new reboot.
This question could have been asked in the oem unlock thread too

Alright, I'll check that and see if i'm also in the boat.
Odd enough that it toggles itself off automaticallly, that is wondering me.
Weird.

Yep, just as I suspected; Your idea didn't apply @sefrcoko .
I installed TWRP, Magisk, the no-dmverity (in that order) and booted perfectly fine with the following result:
- Dev options were hidden since DATA was formatted
- After opening Dev options the OEM Unlock was still switched on.
That has me thinking if it is either sw or hw related, that some devices lock-up.

You asked what jail was, and I explained it... You're just not in jail. Not every device is affected, and fixes to prevent the issue are being baked into custom roms and .zips now too. Lots of factors at play, hence the monster OEM Unlock thread . RMM seems to be the culprit.

Figured not every device is effected.
Appreciate the input though.

Two different Bootloader Lock Status !

Today i flashed 11.0.5.0 china rom using (flash_all.bat) adb platform tool method. after flashing the rom, i flashed TWRP, Magisk and everything is working fine. But when i opened ADB Fastboot Tools to debloat the rom(without fastboot mode) it was showing the device is locked. but when i turned my device into fastboot mod and again opened ADB fastboot tools, it shows the device is unlocked. i also checked in the developer options and it says the device is locked. now should i unlock the phone again using MI Flash tool? please let me know why the problem is happening and what is the solution to the problem. All the pictures are attached.
Thanks
Normal.
You've got Magisk installed. It tries to hide root.
I'm guessing when you boot it shows "unlocked"? That's now the most reliable indicator if you've got with Magisk installed. Mine's the same.

If it's about magisk then it's fine. But I also checked "Mi Unlock Status" in the developer options and it says the device is locked. Is it locked now?

It's unlocked; I have an identical status on the "Mi Unlock Status" page with the 'add account option' - if I recall correctly I first noticed the bizarre faux-locked state on Xiaomi ADB Fastboot Tools myself too and went to verify at that precise Settings page. I was pretty much scratching my head given I'd done a few things that you just can't do on a locked bootloader. Then I asked about it here. Turns out it's just part of Magisk evading detection (to varying degrees of success - I still get the occasional app smart enough to figure out there's root at work).

normally I'd say you have zero chance to unlock, however I recently saw this on telegram and I'm curious if it works...
"US/Canada devices has no oem unlock toggle!
How to get OEM Unlock option back for Non US/Canada device?
1. Open the Settings app. Tap on General Management → Date and time.
2. Use the toggle button to disable Automatic date and time.
3. Set date option will be enabled now. Tap on it, and set the date to about 10-20 days earlier.
4. Enable developer options.
4.a Go to your device Settings.
4.b Select ‘About phone’ » tap seven times on ‘Build number’.
└ This will enable Developer options under Settings.
4.c Go back to Settings » scroll down to the bottom and you’ll see Developer options menu.
5. Open developer options (in the Settings app itself), and find the option called ‘Auto update system‘. Use the toggle button to disable it.
6. Now, go back to the main screen of Setting, and then tap on Software update.
7. Disable the option ‘Download updates automatically‘.
8. Tap on ‘Download updates manually‘ option, but it will give you an error because of the wrong date, so it’s fine.
9. Restart the device.
10. Go to Settings > Developer options. The OEM unlock option should be enabled now."

Returned SM-G781W (Canada) model today back to the **** hole factory it came from.
I tried the above steps and DO NOT work, they also come shipped with BL 3 or something and 0 chance of rooting, if they DO happen to come with BL 1/2 then you root I think.

Dear Friend,
I am having issue with S21 Ultra which i purchase just 2 months ago.

After searching XDA forum and Google all the setups mention there i have tried to visible OEM Unlocker option but OEM lock option never visible. Even flash stock rom again and again and wait for 168H but still its not visible.
When i go in download mode and try to flash TWRP or any custom rom it show below mention msg.

I think you need to have a SIM card in there and to have internet access to see the OEM unlock toggle. Do both of these things apply to you?

Try disabling the automatic date and time and set the date to a day at least one week from now
I have observe a very strange thing, when ever I reboot the device and visit develope option Oem Locker appear then again revisit to developer option it disappear again. Only rebooting device option bring oem option just for few minutes.
so then, when you see unlock option reboot right to DL mode and look if you see device unlock

"Cause

Someone suggested to use Samsung combination file, after searching on google there are only 3 Combination files available U1, U2, U3.
Latest file available is COMBINATION_FAC_FAR0_G998BXXU3AUD3
( I think this not usable on Android 12 version (U4)
Please suggest what option i have left to resolve above mention issue.
Could you try to flash latest Stock rom(Via odin) and try again?
Latest Firmware (SM-G998B_BTU_G998BXXU4CVC4) Flash via Odin...Result same

Note 9 FRP Locked and cannot go into Recovery Mode

Hi Team
I have the Note 9 SM-N960F from australia , I am not able to put into recovery mode and neither I can flash it to any ROM, please help me to find the solution for this . It boots to FRP locked enabled Binary thing. Please assist .
OEM LOCK ON
FRP LOCK ON
Please please please help me .
On a locked device, you can't install any other ROM, than stock update.
To remove FRP:
First, you need to open the Settings menu and remove the screen lock security feature.
In the same menu find the Accounts option and Google account you are logging in on your device with, and remove it. On some phones, the removal option might be hidden behind the three dots in the top right corner of the screen. If you have a few active accounts, make sure that you remove them one by one until none is left.
Next thing to do is an OEM unlock. Before flashing, read carefully the Instructions and be sure to flash the right versions. Otherwise you may brick your device...

the problem is that its not going to settings as well. It just restarts to the red message that says binary lock
You need to flash stock firmware with same CSC.
