Hello,
i replaced the battery of my Mi 11 with a original replacement battery and measured the capacity of the new one with a USB meter but the phone doesnt charge even close to the 4600mah. It charges up to 3800mah like the old battery. Does the system limit the charge because it "doesnt know" that there is a new battery? I already hard reseted the phone and also tried different custom roms but it didnt help, I am on xiaomi.eu rom currently.
If you have any idea, ill be glad to hear it.
Thank you!
Prolly the replacement battery isn't original at all. I replaced mine bought from dragon-tt and capacity is 4450mAh. That's how it looks like:

I need a new battery too, does this one charge at the same speed as the original?
I bought one which turned out to be fake but not only was the battery capacity only about 3800mAh, it also charged really slow.

Yes. As you can see it's original new battery. Charging and capacity is works as the factory battery which came with the phone originally. Bought from dragon-tt.com around 20$. Definitely worth the money!

I see. You are probably right, I bought the battery from aliexpress and I just checked the reviews again and there a few people complaining about the same issue.
Thank you for the reply!

Buying the 1500mAh battery by HTC from htcpedia.com really helped my battery life.
It is like an average phone now. I took my phone off the charger at 6am this morning. It is now almost 3pm and my phone has not died yet... and mind you I have been on it for 4 hours HARD!! I've been browsing.. Market... texting.. talking.. you name! (Except gaming, and streaming)
I bought the 1500mah by HTC because of two reasons:
It was made by HTC (a known name)
It fits in perfectly without buying a thicker back covering (huge plus!)
Don't really trust Seido (Don't know them too well)
My steps once I got my battery.
Bumped Charged
Wiped Battery Stats
Drained Battery (until it cut itself off)
Bumped Charged again
Another note to notice is the batter stats from rival phones of the incredible:
iPhone 4: 1420mAh
Droid X: 1570mAh
EVO: 1500mAh
Nexus: 1400mAh
I got these stats from here.
Seeing these stats make me wonder WHY did HTC ship the Droid incredibles with 1300mAh??
Also... how in the world is Seido fitting those 1750mAh in there? Or are they REALLY fitting in 1750mAh? Hmm...
The 1500mAh provided by HTC puts my Droid Incredible battery life up there with the big boys
**I'm not putting down the Seido company nor saying that there batteries are flawed. All I am stating is that I don't know how they are doing it**
Get the battery HERE

I updated the first post.
You think this is the same battery? http://amzn.to/cS3liO Do you mind tell me if either of these numbers are listed?
# ASIN: B003YM9ANY
# Item model number: 35H00123-22M
Model #: RHOD160
Rating: 3.7VDC == 1500mAh
5.55Whr
Would you mind telling me what % your battery was at by 3pm as you stated? Saying it hasn't died yet could mean like 3% remaining, ya know, to which I'd say I get similar stats with my 1300.
I too am in the market for a new battery and was unfamiliar with this one until this post. I have been eyeing the seidio battery but reading about its heat issue is worrysome. (Which reminds me, any comment on the heat?)
Thanks for sharing your info
I use this battery, too. If I go all day, wihout plugging it in, after 12 hours, I'm down to about 25%. After 14 hours, it's time to either charge it, or put my other battery in.
I also took the op's advice and just recieved this. What does wiping the bat stats do though?

i bought this a while back. no bump charging since i charge in the external charger. 2 1500mah with a charger for $10 w/ shipping? no brainer for me.
hey crazifyngers could you tell me how long have you had the batteries and how is it lasting
I bought the HTC TP2 1500 mah battery for $15 shipped off ebay and it appears to be the same battery the OP posted but black instead of red. I bought from the seller bidallies and the battery appears to be a legit HTC OEM battery.
I notice a drastic difference in battery life, and I don't have to charge my phone in the late afternoon. Definately worth it.

My take on "Wiping Battery Stats" is that it deletes the information that tells your phone that it is fully charged and when it is low. Wiping those stats cause for it to monitor and record new stats to base off of.

i have been using those batteries for about 2 weeks and have noticed a slight increase in charge time. the main thing for me is not having to charge the phone just swap batteries and more importantly NO BUMP CHARGING. that is a huge pet peeve of mine. but i digress. i have used extended batteries but i prefer the look of a slim phone. i normally don't need an extended or extra battery but it is nice to know that if i need the juice i have it. i don't recall which site i read it on but it was reviewed by android central i believe.

i have these too. been very happy with them, they give roughly 20% more battery life on a charge over stock. charger acts funny sometimes though. pardon the dumb question, what's bump charging?

Bump charging is turning the phone off to get the phone to charge to full instead of stopping at 92%.
all of these stats are incredible! *chuckles at bad joke*
too bad im only 14 and dont hav the money to buy one...
anyone care to donate for a future developer in progress?

That's what i have!
I got a supposed 5000mah one that fits under the stock case but it only shows 4300 when fully charged on the phone screen. Might have to buy one of these TBTH...
edit: just ordered one. Will see how it stacks up to the one I have. If nothing else, I'll have a good extended spare and the OEM battery too. When I start flying regularly again I'll have juice for days if I can't find a charger.
4300mah? where'd you see that on the lock-screen cause mine never did unless i were to hack the kernel (which is imposable). I thought the kernel has the Mah locked at 3000mah? unless they added a chip on the motherboard the tells the phone only 3000mah
i just find it hard to believe that its 5000mah without changing the size. im pretty sure its not possible. i think its 3000mah battery but it will limit the power out to make it lasts longer. i want someone to do benchmark and antutu tester for battery
Well i get far better sot with it
It's slightly thicker than the stock battery and i guess denser too but I really doubt it makes 5000. It's definitely an improvement though over the stock battery.
I do worry that these batteries might explode... Chinese quality and all...
Yeah I doubt that cause I've been charging\recharging for a year now and no issues. I just today tested the 5000mah battery with my screen on the whole time (YouTube, Facebook, Browsering) got 8HRs SOT

can u add the 1 you tested? it fits to backdoor normally?
thanks
All the Slim batteries fit fine and I've come to say All batteries on my eBay listing work and the one's I've come across like the one you posted should work. I've also come to say Android 6.0 works fine. It's just the Batteries that are more then 5000 don't read correctly so disregard the time left on the battery menu
Has anyone found a good seller for a battery replacement? The one I found on Ebay sold a BM4C battery but after a couple of weeks of testing I noticed the charge wasn't what I was used to. Using battery monitoring apps I found it was only charging up to around 60% cap. Looking for a better replacement.
Same here. Took the hassle to change my battery to finally have the exact same charge.
After a bad experience with ipartsexperts (~58% capacity according to Accubattery), I got a very good one from AliExpress. A new battery 2020-04. Got 88% capacity, almost like new.

Thanks. Is it hard to replace ? Never did on a Mi Mix.
It depends if you ever opened a sealed phone before. It was my second time. It is not that hard and I used two YouTube video specifically made from the Mi Mix to guide me. A good suction cup and credit cards are your friends. Some tools came with the battery and may be sufficient, but I invested in better tools for my first time.
One tricky part is that I didn't notice that a screw was under a Mi sticker and had a hard time to remove the plate over the motherboard, but once you see it, it is easy.

How is the battery holding up for you? I got mine in December and it was working well in the beginning (3800-4100 mAh according to BattteryGuru) but now after two months it's down to <1000 mAh.
Hey everyone,
Just wanted to know if anyone has had any experience with using third party batteries for the N950. Specifically batteries with extended capacity. I have seen a handful of these batteries which say they have a 3600mah capacity over the stock battery capacity of 3300mah. They also say that they are Li-Po over the stock Li-Ion.
I cant post the link due to XDA rules but there are batteries available on Amazon under the title :
Galaxy Note 8 Battery ZURUN 3600mAh Li-Polymer Battery
The battery appears to have good ratings and would be a fitting upgrade for a decayed battery. I'm just asking if anybody with experience would recommend these batteries, are they real(in terms of spec), would the higher capacity effect the device negatively? And most importantly are they safe?
Any help would be appreciated!

Although I have no experience with batteries for the Note 8 as of yet, but from previous experience, I would recommend only official batteries. Even if these non official batteries are the correct mah, they will not have the same amount of cycles, so you will probably go through 2 or 3 of these batteries for the life of the official one.

I have had my Note 8 since the day it came out and I'm still using the same battery and I still get well over 8 hours of usage before I need to recharge it. I only charge it to 90% and I never let it discharge fully it's usually back on the charger whenever it gets near 20%. A friend of mine decided to put a 4,000 mah battery in his Note 8 only to find out that it wouldn't charge to 4,000 and it was dying much much faster than the original battery and it took even longer for it to charge back up so I wouldn't recommend getting aftermarket parts for it.

Huh, as for my device, I got it recently pre owned however the previous owner didn't take anywhere near as much care of my device as it seems your taking care of yours. So the battery capacity is pretty decayed and I've found it hard to get a healthy OEM battery online.
With my current new but unhealthy battery I wouldn't be able to protect it as I would like to by using the charging ranges you do. Tho I do really want to!
So I was thinking a new third party battery could be better than a 'new' oem. But again just another gamble it seems haha.
Thanks a lot for your advice!
