Lenovo p12 seems to work, but why doesn't it work on y700?
Is there any way or patch to make it work without changing the rom?

I was wondering whether there was any way to get Camera2 API on Lenovo A7000? It'd be nice to get manual focus (like DSLR ) and RAW capture. I'm currently on CM13 maintained by HDHR. I have tried AOSP 5.0, CM12.1 etc, but none of these support Camera2 API. Is it some kernel issue? If yes, which kernel should I use?
Oh! And I have tried the method available for Redmi Note 3. It didn't work as expected. Someone please tell me whether it is at least possible or not.
Thanks.
Hi guys,
Say I wanted to modify an existing ROM (LineageOS, HavocOS, AEX, etc.) then what would I need to do? Is there an existing, comprehensive guide to modifying ROM's? Can I modify an existing ROM for another device of the same manufacturer (for example a ROM for Realme X to Realme X2 Pro)?
I know it needs knowledge of all sorts, and I would say that I have enough knowledge to play around with a build, and even so I wouldn't mind bricking my device just to try.

it would already be very useful to understand if it is possible to switch from Rom Stock CN (China) to Global. I have tried but there is nothing about it
I'm currently on havoc os gsi and there's a couple of things if they're added to it it would be perfect
1-90 hz
2-stock camera port
3-fingerprint and face unlock features
4-optimization for animations
Does anyone have an idea how to restore ANT+ functionality after the latest OOS 9.0.6 update? Apparently the ANT? firmware is not included in the latest update anymore, and therefore it is not possible to use it. Maybe it would be possible to somehow make it work using a similiar method to what the ANT+ Enabler that existed for some other devices previously? Of course this would either need the original developer or a new one to figure things out.
ANT+ Enabler: https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.z2software.antplus&hl=fi&gl=US
The required additional application, Bluetooth+ is seemingly not available in Play Store anymore, though I have a backup of it for use with a previous Galaxy S4, which also had the problem similary occuring after the last stable update to Android.
Maybe someone who has experience loading device firmware could chime in on if it would even be possible, possibly using Oneplus 5T sources or older OOS. Oneplus 5T supposedly has Ant+ working fine.

I had exactly same situation with my Xiaomi Mi 11 Pro and the only solution is to change ROM to Global I am afraid. On CN ROM you can use Google Apps very limited. I think it is related to Region.

A ROM typically requires a lot of work for it to be compatible with a device. You can't simply grab any ROM and flash it to another device. There are other aspects when it comes to hardware such as the cameras, sensors, components for Wi-Fi/Bluetooth etc.
First before you can make any modifications, you of course, have to unlock the bootloader by using a tool provided by the manufacturer. For Xiaomi, you need to first pair your Xiaomi Account to the device by going into the Developer options in settings and then use their Mi Unlock tool to submit the request. You will have to wait around 7 days in order to be able to unlock it. After that, you now have the option to install a custom OS
Do note that due to the bootloader being unlocked, apps that check the bootloader status such as banking apps and streaming apps may not work anymore. But there are ways to make them work by patching the SafetyNet/Play Integrity API.
