pixel experience is the best for those who start out modding their phones, having the most stock android experience, or have a responsive, stable, bug-free experience on their devices.
it has less bugs due to it having less implemented features (customizations, etc) and is overall more stable and newbie friendly.
its @winox preference if he prefers to have a simple usage on his phone or have some implementations that offer more user experience at the cost of some small perfomance sacrifice.
crdroid offers enough customization options like derpfest, evolutionx, project elixir and etc, nothing excessive and out of the box like ancient os which causes notable (ui) issues from my experience, so there shouldnt be such a big difference in the performance with useful settings to customize its likings.
remember, more customization = more lag and instability, specially on lower end phones running 4GB ram

Chinese firmware names the device as Redmi Note 10 due to it being sold branded as that. if you check the first screenshot, clearly its a camellia device

Hey all

Nice phone for the money.
Be better if kernel source were released so the xda wizards could
do some development.
Already own this. Enhanced version.
do we know if this device gets official MIUI V6 or KitKat in general ?????
MIUI 6 for sure.
This is indeed a nice device.
One question does this device has screen protection such as Gorilla Glass or Dragontrail Glass like Redmi/Hongmi 1s?

Doesn't list it in the specs. Just says it is an IPS-LCD Screen.
IPS stands for in-plane switching. An IPS-LCD is a type of thin display that offers better viewing angles than TFT-LCDs. IPS-LCDs feature two transistors for each pixel, where TFT-LCDs use just one. This requires a more powerful backlight, which delivers more accurate colors, and allows the screen to be viewed from a wider angle. The downside is that an IPS-LCD may consume more power than a TFT-LCD.
IPS-LCDs typically are found on high-end cell phones and portable devices. Apple's iPhone and iPad both feature IPS-LCDs, as does the Motorola Droid.
where can you buy the 16gb version?
i found the 2gb ram version here but it says it only has 8gb
with regard to the 2g/3g it says it supports:
2G: GSM 900/1800/1900MHz
3G: WCDMA 900/2100MHz
does this mean i would get full HSDPA speeds on the Three network in the UK like i do currently with my Galaxy Note 1 (N7000)
No

May not get. It won't take time to do so for them. When indian companies like xolo did for many 1 year old phones immediately after release, why can't Xiaomi?
http://en.miui.com/thread-67454-1-1.html
All Redmi phones will get MIUI 6 developer version and stable version; We will try our best to release some beta versions by the end of Dec. 2014
I think the device is pretty great for the price tag.
Got some really nice specs of you ask me.
Works great in general use, web surfing with chrome is butter smooth and sweet gaming performance as well.
My only hardware issue is with the camera, despite being a 13 MP camera, it's pretty lame, but still you can get "okay" photos out of it.
And yea Btw, blame Mediatek for the source code. [emoji16]

The performance is the same as the 4gb variant, very very slight bhenchmark performance margin difference.
So basically you are paying 2k extra only for more megapixel camera. Ram being only a cache storage to store apps temporary, it doesn't make a difference as 4gb is enough to run many apps multitasking lag free. I'm not a camera freak, I'm content with what camera the 4gb variant has to offer (waiting for a proper bug free Fota though).
Good that I didn't wait to buy the 6gb variant. I saved my money and time as well!
What u said is exactly right..
I also checked related threads about 6gb variant nothing's more except the front camera ....and better than Redmi Note 5 pro
Wait for few days for retail unit reviews. Ram does not make phone faster it just keeps more apps in memory.
mine got delivered today

Hey guys, I am planning to buy Zenfone Max Pro M1. But I am really confused between RN5 Pro and M1, solely because I find a lot of ROMS and customisation in the RN5P forums which looks really promising but at the same time, with a humoungous battery, dedicated SD card slot and 2 years of promised updates, this device seems like a treasure for its price. Could you guys or devs please help me with my decision as to which phone I should go with. I am a flashoholic, therefore i need a phone which is highly popular among devs and has many custom ROMS/Kernels.

Sounds like Redmi Note 5 Pro is for you, since base MIUI sucks and people usually just unlock bootloader and flash another ROM to it. I heard they did something in the recent update of MIUI so that you can't reroll back to the previous build, so flashing it the instant you got the phone is a good idea.
Hi guys, i've been playing around with this Mi a2 for the last week, and so far i'm not satisfied at all with it. The lack of the jack, the poor battery life even with greenify (around 4h of screen) and the lack of an active community around it are some of the reasons why i'm considering to take advantage of the amazon return policy and get something else. Should i get a Note 5 Global 636 (Pro) or a MI A2 lite? Do you have any alternatives in mind around 200 euro?
Wait for either Redmi Note 6 Pro (battery) or Mi 8 Youth (almost same as Mi A2 w/o jack and sd card slot but good design with notch and MIUI)
I would go for the Note 5 Pro if you don't mind MIUI since it looks exactly like the A2, only a tad thicker because of the battery, but because of it, the camera bump doesn't protrude as much.
If you can't live with MIUI, then definitely go for the A2 Lite. Can't beat the value.
Do note that the 636 is notably more powerful, and has especially better DSP meaning that you can take photos faster on the 636, but at the end of the day, it all depends on how you use the phone and what works for you.

Yes, the cpu doesn't seem to clock down. The first 4 cores are stuck at 1843 Mhz and the last 4 at 2208Mhz.

I'm not a fan of MIUI but there are plenty of roms for the Note 5 Global to get that sweet aosp/pixel experience.

So that's why you have only 4 hours of screen on time.
As you can read in that thread, the bug is caused by the Goodix fingerprint sensor. Waiting for a fixing update, just disable the fingerprint sensor for now and you'll not have the bug anylonger.

Thanks for the advice, disabling the fingerprint lock got me another half an hour of SOT. Which is nice, but far from what i would get on a mi a2 lite or a note 5 pro.
SOT: https://imgur.com/a/4gGHQ69
Giving that the mi a2, the mi a2 lite and the note 5 (pro) in italy on amazon are around the same price i think i will go with the note 5 (pro) and flash lineageos on it to get rid of the miui.

Yes, specifically E4 AMOLED. Probably is the latest best AMOLED that Samsung sells to others.
Samsung keeps the top of the line M11 AMOLED for their own and Sony. Why only Sony gets it? Don't know for sure, probably some tech exchange agreement.
*some correction: I think it's probably using E3 AMOLED. The info on notebookcheck.net is most likely wrong.
Peak brightness is 1200 for RN10Pro, and 1100 for RN10 and RN10S
It is the same screen that's used in Samsung S20

honestly, you should spend a bit more on a redmi note 11
it offers a better camera (50mp, but it has a bigger sensor which = more detail and more widely light capturing avail, great for her id say), a powerful cpu (Snapdragon 680, it also uses a different processing than the mediatek of the redmi note 10 5g) and a better display (amoled, 120hz), for id say 15-30 more?
ur choice, but the redmi note 11 is great for the 10 5g budget

Yeah! I have note 10 5G for about 1yr
Display Brightness is only 400nits so
display is too dark in sunlight , 18W is not enough for 5000mah battery and OB48B is not good as N11 4G's Samsung sensor, display is too bad at colour production, go dimensity 700 for 5G only otherwise sd680 is better at overall! spend a few dollars for N11 4g or note 12 5g
*I also have dimemsity 1000+
and I believe mtk chips are on-paper tigers!
