Hi all,
I have a Xiaomi Mi 8 lite (China ROM). Before Xiaomi disabled Google services entirely on the new miui versions, I had installed them myself as they are not pre installed. However, after miui 12.5.1 they stopped working (and without knowing they had effectively blocked Google services from being installed on China ROMs) I thought the version I installed had become outdated and hence stopped working. I deleted some Google service frameworks and was going to reinstall newer versions but then after a while the phone turned off and is in a Bootloop now. It doesn't get past the miui logo when turning on. Unfortunately I haven't unlocked the bootloader or enabled usb debugging (lesson learned ) - is there any way I can either reflash a stock/custom ROM and/or recover my data?
Thanks to anyone who replies to this post and am happy to send photos of the phone if needed
It's fine after wiping data 3x from recovery 3.0 it came out of the bootloop after 30 mins

Hey all,
I'm in China and having some issues with my China Mobile branded Mi3. I don't think I have a fake from the vids and posts I've read, but here are some screenshots from CPUZ. The internal storage numbers appear to be bugged as the phone shows much more available space when connected to my laptop. Anyway, my main issues are not being able to update Android with the stock software (update button just takes me to home screen), and unable to flash the latest stable ROM via recovery (gets to 98% and says error applying update). I'd like to get updated so I can download Google Installer for my contacts and notes...it seems CM removed Mi Market for their own version. The ROM I tried was the latest stable TD version from the MIUI forums and I wasn't able to get much help there. Thanks for any advice.
Alright, giving this one last bump! Seems the xiaomi.eu forums are rather active in updating the China version of the Mi3 roms, but I can't seem to register there. Anyone mind taking a look at this thread and confirming that 4.6.27 is safe for the TD/Pisces Mi3 and that I just need to do a wipe through recovery before flashing that rom?

I bought new Mi5 and I still didn't put Sim card inside wanted to configure and see what phone can but when I entered configuration menu after 1st power up I manage to choose language and few things more and phone rebooted, then I manage to almost finish configuration then freeze and reboot again, after few tries I finished configuration but freeze (usually only last few seconds) and reboot happen again. Then phone offered me update software which I manage to reach from 3rd time and successfully update only with Mi PC Suite, not from phone update app. Interesting, all flashing proces with Mi PC Suite always is going as should be, without reboots etc... Crap happen only in OS. Now I got latest China stable (I bought phone in China) which has same problem with rebooting. Then I wiped all I can, factory reset etc...nothing helps.
-Still didn't unlock phone in case I need to return it.
-Didn't try global Rom because I can't flash it
I was reading forums and found a lot people have same problem but didn't find what they done on the end to make phone work.
If anyone have some solution, let me know. Returning phone from EU to China is not 1 day Or does someone know if someone in EU can service this if needed?
thanks in advance
huh,
I solved (for now) problem with installing this, developer version of miui 8 from here
http://xiaomiadvices.com/download-miui-8-6616-china-developer-rom-recoveryfastboot/
Downloaded it and installed with English version of MI PC Suite. Developer rom is Chinese (as my default software version in phone) over latest Chinese 7.3.10 miui
With original software phone was restarting, freezing randomly every 30 seconds or 1 minute of usage.
Now need to wait to unlock phone so I can use Global version of rom to get play store etc...
Hello guys! After experiencing all custom ROMS including Xiaomi.EU, figured out that every single one has some small inconvenience for me and planning to return to stock, eventually using only Magisk and potentially a custom Kernel.
Managed to install every single version of Global Developer ROM, everything works well except the FaceUnlock that was gone, (the phone remained stucked in China region) and I am not able to access the fingerprint section, after few tries it brings me an error message.
Tried also using MIFlash , but the Fastboot ROM writting took 3 sec to write and stopped as successfully, then nothing but bootlooping.
Currently is the phone is functional, but as mentioned before not able to setup new fingerprints (using cache and data from old recovery and those work) neither Face Unlock.
Tried to Google any kind of solution, but unfortunately nothing worked.
Any suggestion is appreciated.
I see that nobody is interested to support, so I continuously researched and figured out that doing a full wipe and following these steps from this post will solve my problem:

From I don't know which reason I was blocked on China region without the possibility to changing it.
Hi,
I'm hoping someone out there can maybe help me with this please?
I have an Honor 9 Lite (LLD-L31C432) & recently the camera & flashlight stopped working. I've tried a number of other camera apps (the P20 ported camera, various google cams etc) but none work - all either open to a black screen & shut down immediately or else just say the app has crashed, etc.
The phone is bootloader unlocked and was on stock rom (LLD-GRP2-OVS-9.1.0.121). A few months ago I switched to Openkirin's Resurrection Remix OS 7.0.1 Beta 1 ROM & all worked ok (I had the stock camera, a Google Cam version and the P20 camera all working), but due to bluetooth problems I tried the Openkirin AOSP 10 Preview 1 ROM. Had a few problems with this one so tried to return to the stock ROM and had a lot of trouble getting it working again (bootloops, etc).
Eventually got the stock firmware back on but then noticed that the camera & flash no longer worked. Since then I've returned to both the Resurrection Remix ROM and the AOSP 10 Preview 1 (& Preview 2) ROMs but the problem still remains. Is it possible that I've broken the camera when fastboot flashing or using TWRP? I 'went around in circles' so much whilst trying to get back to stock that I can't remember ever step I tried, but it would seem a bit of a coincidence if the hardware failed just around the time of me having issues returning to stock ROM.
Also, If I was to relock the bootloader is it possible to tell that it has been unlocked in the past? It was purchased May 2018 so would still be in the 2yr warranty period but I wondered if Huawei could tell it had been unlocked in the past (I also read somewhere that the warranty is invalidated just by registering to get an unlock code, even if you never actually used it? - not sure how true this is!)
Cheers!
Andy
I need dire help . I just downloaded the new MIUI 13 update and rebooted to install it but it went into a bootloop instead.. It's not rebooting into fastboot either.
Never download MIUI updates right after they get released. My Redmi Note 9 (EEA) also got bricked, but on the 12.5 release. I had to send a complaint to the shop where I bought it from and they have reflashed my whole phone, thus losing all my data like authenticator codes and 80 GB of photos and videos with my family. And this is a Mediatek chipset which is very common to get the phone bricked on. Always wait for at least the first patch before updating anything, or just don't update and stick with the already buggy environment.
