Camera issue with super bright lights - Huawei P30 Pro Questions & Answers

Hi guys. I love this phone to death and camera is fantastic except 1 issue
I take alot of pictures of PC's and the rgb and led lights on fans etc all colors come out super bright white when in fact it's actually bright green red blue etc
I had a pos Samsung and it had no problem with super bright colors and u could clearly distinguish between all the rgb colors
Am I missing a setting or something?

Did you try HDR mode?

Yep tried hdr and everything else I can find. Seems OK with some lights

Seems better when light is behind tinted glass. However pointing at it like in the 1st pic just turns out super bright white

light sensor problem

i have a problem with light sensor. sipmply is not working.. when i turn it on the screen goes to lowest settings.
I installed the "water level" program an i see that there is always at 926 lumens. any idea whats wrong?
i try hard reset but the problem persists.
What I did for it to actually start working was I put the "On battery power" all the way to power save, and then selected "auto adjust backlight.
I might look stupid here, but my screen goes dimmer in a pitch black room, and brighter when there is a lot of light. Is this how it works?

That's right - if the environment is darker you don't need that much backlight for the screen to be readable. The more light is shining at the display the brighter it has to be in order for you to see anything. It's really more of a power saving feature...
for the record:
i return my device as DOA and now i got a new one that is working fine .

LCD quality question + pic of issue

I know its difficult to see on the picture but my replacement black One on the right is darker at full brightness than my white one on the left.. I know they use different lcd's due to quality issues now and the white one has a stuck pixel so at least the black one is free from that it just doesnt look right and is annoying me.. and input?
PS: when using the camera app the black one seems to always be focusing!! they are on the same settings, software and same looking at the same image, really strange
You are aware that you don't have the brightness turned fully up on the right device aren't you?

LOLOLOLOL that's an epic fail ... OP, surely you can see that in the pic! ... I have the black one and it only focuses when I touch to focus.
Yeah mines the same, works perfectly fine regarding that.
I have sorted the focus issue out with a hard reset they now both perform the same, the brightness is turned down slightly to show the blue colour better..

2 issues i have noticed so far. Display,Slow motion.

Yesterday i got a mi 8 6/128 and i found for now 2 issues till now the first one is that when i want to take slow motion video it flickers a red light like hell, the second one is the screen itself when holding the phone and looking at it straight in front the color of the screen seems a bit yellowish also the colors are a bit under saturated when i see the screen from a side view even from bottom or from any side the colors pops out and the white backround is white as it should be i think it has something to do with the front glass that covers the panel and i don't know if there is a way to fix that, i use cool color reproduction on settings but it still annoys me.

Poor Screen Colors

I just got this phone and I am really disappointed with the colors on the screen. Everything looks washed out and dull. I have tried the color calibration and it still doesn't help. My screen looks nothing like the screenshots here, nor any of reviews I have seen. Any help or suggestions? I'm not looking for oversaturated colors or for the screen to be on par with higher end phones. I just want it to be better.
Orange colors appear more of a burnt sienna color and fair skin people almost have a bad spray tan look.
Colors are totally fine on my device. Yours may be defective.
Try increase contrast. Worked for me
I reset the device and the display is a lot better.

I also have the same issue with my screen, calibration is inconsitent and fluctuate between some orange tint, if I adapt it it slowly drift to get orange again. When I set all RGB values to 100 % it's more like a greenish tint that still drifts to orange.
I don't understand what's going on with my screen...
HEy guys...I`ve found it
Go to accessibility and search for color correction something like that and turn it off

Tint in k20 pro display

Hey guys, hope you are doing great.
I have noticed one peculiar thing, when i sit in pitch dark places with brightness at the end, i face this white issue over my display screen shot attached, it's Google chrome app which showing me these results,(there are many more also)for this to be noticed you must sit in a dark room.
I know it's typical led panel issue and i would like to know if i am the only one?
Do you seriously think we are able to see your display in a screenshot?

If you are in a pitch dark room and see no anamoly then your's display is good. If not you will see a whitish tint over the top area
And btw you can check on your device itself, by just opening chrome(if it's black) and in dark room with brightness as low as possible.

Enable feature in display settings under anti flicker mode to on. and check again your screen in low light conditions.
Yup, that worked, it increase overall contrast for low brightness, is this condition(tint) is normal for amoled panel, or i am just unlucky.
