Hello, for a long time I have had this problem with root and bank apps on my (redmi note 8, cr droid, android 13). My mistake was not disabling root when trying to update the rom I had before (evolutionX), from that moment on I had problems with my bank apps, even when I had all the settings to hide root (and even when I completely uninstalled magisk), the banking app detected me as if I had it (as seen in the image). I had to do a hard reset and install a new ROM (crdroid), with that the applications worked for me, but when I try to install the root again and configure everything to hide it, I still have the same problem. Before making the mistake of not disabling root to update the rom, everything worked correctly with the banking apps, with root enabled. I hope you can help me with this, since I have been trying to solve it for a long time. I am aware that it was my mistake (a very dumb mistake) in not disabling root to flash the rom. Greetings and sorry for my english
What are the steps you are taking to hide root?

Hi, I have 6.0MM ROM on my Lenovo K3 Note (rooted S424) and I found one delictate isssue: Clean Master has problem with root access and can not change Autostart manager options. So, I am not able to boost my phone with closing some autostarted apps. I use SuperSU version v2.65
Do you have any solution?
Thanks
Same Issue
I have the same problem since upgrading to MM. Prior to upgrade, Clean Master had root privileges, but since upgrade, it never requested root and I don't know how to manually force it to. If you find a solution, please post.
Same for me, I tried to search for solutions but I think there is no way,
Has anyone else had a problem where you no longer have root after about 3 reboots after using the sprint userdebug package to gain root?
After investigation, it seems that something changes permissions to /system/etc/init.sec.boot.sh
Or perhaps because nothing sets permissions on this file itself after setting up /system/etc/launch_daemonsu.sh the contents of this file and not the context or permissions are transferred to /system/etc/init.sec.boot.sh
I performed the operations that are done to launch_daemonsu.sh prior to its duplication to init.sec.boot.sh and executed it, I was then able to get a supersu prompt to grant root priveleges. I have to re-run this script every boot to get a prompt otherwise all root requests immediately fail.
I used adb root shell to make changes since it does not require supersu to manage its root privileges.
I am not sure if I needed to change permissions, but I doubt I'll be re-flashing the userdebug firmware to find out. (I was preparing to odin back to stock anyway.)
I do not know how to make this script execute during boot. I specialize in more desktop flavors of linux and Android is not quite that.
same thing happened to me just now.
not sure what to do, not sure if i have to reinstall everything again

Note 7 v2 Root Sticking
I exchanged my v1 for the v2 yesterday and did not insert my sim card. I brought it home and went through the OP steps. I inserted the sim after step 5. I was able to successfully root my Note 7 and ran Titanium to uninstall some apps but then I lost root after Samsung + updated. I don't know if it was a coincidence but I decided to retry all the steps and I immediately froze the Samsung + update then proceeded to uninstall the bloat I didn't want(including Samsung+) and my phone has maintained root since then. I have rebooted several times to test it and it has been successful every time. ROM is performing well and I have added Adaway and it too is working great.

Listen up folks. Do not and i repeat do not update any of samsungs apks. Until we can find out whats going on. It seems that samsung is now pushing updates thru their apks to check and get rid of SU. They are getting sneaky. So for now do not update any samsungs apk, not even thru google. Also do not update SU, this is another way to lose root. We are working on it. Please do not ask if we found anything, if a fix is found we will post our findings.
If you need shealth, iris scanner, samsung pay, android pay, or any other samsung apk, then you need to stay on stock firmware and not use root.
Also if anyone is having issue with files or odin not flashing, make sure you are not on the new PI4 stock ROM, if you are then odin will fail everytime and at this moment there is no way to root or down grade to the older firmware.
Otherwise Try to redownload all files as it seem that afh is/was having alot of issues with uploads and downloads. This not something that we can fix as we dont host or own that site.
Can you guys break down the steps to regain root without reinstalling the OS? Mine also lost root on v2.
It looks like my S-Health was automatically updated to the latest version, which has been reported to be a root of the cause.
Make sure that once you do all tje steps to get root. Make sure you turn wifi off. Once you turn wifi on, it will start auto updating apps in the play store which includes s health and other saamsung apps. Install package disabler and disable all samsung apps. Samsung pay, samsung+, s health, and any others. Also make sire you go back to the play store and into settings and disable auto updating of apps, jist to be on the safe side.
What i would like to know is: am i able to still use samsung cloud? Themes? Etc... because i have been avoiding them since i had to reroot yesterday....please advise.

Try them and see if you can use those services. If you lose root then you have your answer. Some of us dont use those stuff, so it is hard to answer. This is why you folks are here. Test things out. Try different things to see what works for you. Trying those things will not void your warranty. The only thing that might happen is that you might lose root.

Hi,
At times like this I really wish that I knew more about android than I do, but then again that's part of the reason there are site's like reddit. What I'm trying to do is use the sudohide app to solve the issue I've been having as far as keeping it from trying to update itself and becoming enabled again. For my youtube stuff I use the vanced app which at least for me better than the real youtube app. When I open up the sudohide app I receive a prompt that says xposed framework is not installed. Does my lg v30 phone have to be rooted to be able to use the sudohide app? If so I really need to get it rooted, of course if it's rooted I can probably just get rid of youtube anyway.
Thanks

Sudohide is an (ed)xposed module, which needs root to run in the first place, so you need to unlock your device unless you haven't done so already (it will wipe all your data, backup first), flash TWRP which replaces your stock "recovery" program which is originally used to do factory resets etc, but twrp can do much more. Then flash magisk in twrp, your phone is now rooted, now you can install riru core (dependency for edxposed) and edxposed framework systemlessly, writing directly to system will definitely break safetynet, which is why this is the popular way of rooting these days. Some tinkering around is needed to keep safetynet passing (otherwise you'll lose access to some banking apps, some games, netflix will work, but you can't install it from play store). Just rooting lets you access all the read-only partitions and install magisk modules that take advantage of that, xposed lets you mess with the behavior of user/system apps.
Hi zipsu,
Of course thanks so much for your feedback, and as silly as it might sound..all I have to do now is work up my courage and attempt to root my lg v30 phone. I know that a lot of user's say that it's actually pretty simple, but I think they have more knowledge about android that I currently have. It probably doesn't matter but I'm currently running android version 9.0 on my phone.

Hi all,
I just installed the latest stable EU rom on my Mi note 10 device. I've used TWRP and magisk 23.0. And also, I did an IMEI repair operation.
Everything was fine until I tried to install my banking app. I uninstalled magisk (on the app and using twrp). (Also, uninstall and re-install the banking app) However, still, my banking app detects the root!
What is the correct way to remove root access and get rid of root warning? (I dont need root anymore).
Thanks in advance
There are several things that an app might be looking for besides Magisk. Enabled developer options, unlocked bootloader, etc...
Hello, I hope you can help me with this.
Yesterday I updated to the latest version of the custom rom I'm using (EvolutionX) and I had to flash the zip file manually through recovery since it didn't install automatically.
After that, magisk stopped working correctly, the root of my banking applications is not hidden, as you can see in the images, I have everything hidden and activated correctly (I think), I would appreciate it if you help me with this since the same thing happened to me a long time ago , and not finding a solution I had to do a hard reset and install a new rom.
The bank app says: "this device does not meet the minimum security requirements for this application"
(Sorry for my english, helpe pls)
