I´m thinking about buy this model 920cd dual sim
Could you say me if I can flash with a rom of 920c ( without losing dual sim mode ) or I need specifically a rom made for this model dual sim ?
thanks
You should only flash ROMs for your specific device. If you use Odin, it won't even let you flash the wrong ROM.

You have to get your phone rooted first with twrp.
Then you must have z3x Samsung tool pro box
You can clone your main imei to 2 imei
Then flash dr keten rom that supports dual sim patch in aroma installer.
And you must buy sim tray for dual sim because the single sim phone only you can insert 1 sim and 1 memory card the second sim will not insert.
And also Cloning imei is not easy my friend you must have knowledge to use z3x tool otherwise you may brick the phone because you have to edit some files in EFS partition.
Dont try crack version z3x they will not work.
I am assuming you have a refurbished N960N that came with dual sim and you did flashed stock firmware to upgrade.
Because N960N originally never came with dual sim.
Some chinese refurbishing companies they clone the imei+they change back glass to duos model+they flash dual sim patched software. Because dual sim has more value in asian market.
So if this is the case all you have to do is flash twrp and flash dr keten rom and choose dual sim patch during aroma installer.
You will get back your both imei and dual sim suoport back as you bought.
On stock n960n firmware dual sim will never work.
Hope thus will help
For my information, my device was working in two dual sims, I updated via odin So he became single sim

Yes Because originally your phone is single sim
Someone clone the imei and convert it to dual sim via software.
You have to use dr keten rom if you want to use dual sim.
On stock firmware it will work as single sim.
Thanks
Hi, can someone share the dr ketan file for the dual sim?

@Trex888
I have an N960N with 2 Imeis and dual sim support( bought from a chinese friend, wasn't cheated) . I believe it has dr.ketan(Android 9) rom pre-installed with stock recovery( check Screenshot). I have seen your previous replies on how to get 2 imei and dual sim support using Dr.Ketans rom , but do you think this will work if I update to Android 10 stock(which is required) from Android 9 and then Flash latest Dr.ketan rom that's based on Android 10. I know there's a whole thread where I can ask questions but Dr.ketan is not available at the moment with the current situation going around the globe.

You could upgrade the bootloader and modem to android 10. The instruction is in the first page of Dr.ketan's thread.
Then flash Dr.ketan's latest rom.
However I'm not sure if flashing bootloader and modem will retain your second sim or not.
For sure if you flash stock rom, it will not work anymore.

Hey! thanks for your support. Yes i have seen those instructions, but i am afraid to take the risk, as when i went through the thread searching for imei related issues there have been many asking similar question but no solutions for now. Do inform me if you find a solution, as there are many of us who want to update to Android 10 without losing dual sim functionality on N960N. THANKS.:good:
Edit: And yeah i have Z3X box with me but i dont know how to use it.

Hey! flashed stock Android 10 which made it single sim, and then flashed DR.Ketan's latest rom and successfully retained dual sim function with 2 imeis. Thanks

It's good to flash stock rom first while updating from Pie to Q, but there's one more way to do it if you don't want to flash the whole stock rom. You can find full instructions by searching on Dr.Ketans rom thread. You just need to download his rom , stock BL & CP files that he has provided in N960N download section. Sorry for late reply
Do I have to root the note 9 to use dual sim on it?
It is originally N960N
I changed my note8 for note9 sm-n960n, the sim cartridge was duos but the same imei for both sim cards, the download sreen was in Korean language and few apps was Korean to, it works in both sims, i don't know if it was rooted, anyway i'm used to flash my own room choice, the Dr.keaton and super-stable rom work duos sim, but the Dev-base is single sim support. much as I have encountered any issue is the one, I cannot establish s-pen connection with Bluetooth other than using as typical stylus.

I bought a phone like that recently (N960F/DS). I never checked it well when i bought it because it was sealed, so i thought all was good. When i got home i found out it was already rooted (surprise!!) and that it was originally N960N converted to N960F/DS. Now I wonder if the process can be reversed because i want to remove the root and update it to android 10 (it is still in 9). Please anyone knows how to reverse the conversion?
If I flashed N960N firmwares will that work or will it brick the phone?

My reply is coming in a bit late, I don't know whether you still need the answer - but yes, you can easily reverse the process by simply flashing original N960N firmware. I have done it myself in a similar constellation to yours. If your phone ends up bricked, it won't be because of this flashing per se.
Allow me to ask you a question - how did you confirm that your phone was originally N960N as you say?

I am assuming you have a refurbished note 9 that is SM-N960N korean version with modified software that shows N960F because N960F has more value in market.
But sadly you got korean note 9 which is fine in most cases but if you want to upgrade the software to android 10 you have to flash N960N firmware via odin tool.
If your phone is dual sim you will lose dual sim capability if you flash N960N firmware because N960N never came with dual sim variant.some refurbishing companies they clone the main Imei to dual imei so it can convert single sim to dual sim "software wise" but its actually faked 2nd imei.

First tou have to flash full android 10 n960n firmware via odin
Then go to developer option and turn on oem unlock option.
Then You have to flash twrp recovery via odin
Then you can flash "dr keten rom" on your device from twrp recovery
Dr keten rom is the only rom android 10 with dual sim patch will work on your device.

Thank you very much for giving a full tutorial to me.
@Trex888 Will this restore the mobile to Official status or it will still be rooted? And will we encounter any problems with wifi or the network we use?
Also, in our country we have to pay tax for each IMEI, will my IMEI change as well?

Will my imei changed after flashing dr ketan rom
i just bought s21 ultra (998b) brand vodafone, i can't debrand it to install thai firmware, i tried flash with Odin with different firmware downloaded but nothing. I also tried to go back with firm vodafone. please help me find a solution
Flashing diffrent firmware wont help,to get rid of all the vodafone apps and logo you need to change CSC from VOD to BTU ,i assume that you are in uk?
at the moment there is no option to change CSC on android 11 so it might take some time for a solution
thanks for the reply, so flashing with ODIN firmware THI won't change anything? I tried, the firmware is loaded but on restart it is always VODAFONE
I'm italian
I need the call recorder

yes no matter what firmware you flash you will still have vodafone logo ,because the CSC code of the phone its customized for vodafone IT (OMN),i have the same issue in UK , i treid to flash several firmware versions but the phone always show vodafone logo and vodafone apps ,so i guess we need to wait for a solution

Same here, S21 Ultra on H3G Uk branding. Tried the last 2 days few different firmwares with no luck .All H3G bootlogo and apps come back after restart. Hopefully Samkey will come out with a fix for this soon.
i get the issue but i find that it doesn't really matter what branding is on there if all yr network perks like wifi calling volte etc work. I got my s21 U from samsung but flatmate got his from vodafone for work and his personal 3 sim works perfectly with wifi calling etc all working.
wont be long until samkey (as said above) will be able to change csc so hang on if the vodafone logo on startup etc bothers you
I haven't been in the phone flashing game for a while. I'm not seeing many topics regarding my Xperia 1ii (Docomo version) Because there are locked bootloaders nowadays or something? Would like to flash a global ROM on it but I don't see official TWRP support for it either.
Not receiving the Android 12 updates either even though I should by now. I'm in South East Asia, is my location causing the update not to get pushed over?
using Japaneses model doesn't mean it always locked, i have AU version of xz1 that unlocked and have xz3 global that locked.. but yeah. most Japaneses model are locked. if you are locked. or only want to flash global. there no need to unlock it. or use twrp or other recovery. in fact flashing official rom doesn't even use recovery mode at all. it use download mode(if im not mistaking it)and with tool like xperia Firmware downloader and newflasher. you can flash any official rom to your docomo one.
BUT. REMEMBER!!
1.Japaneses smartphone use special nfc hardware that different than global. your nfc will go bye bye if you flash global rom in there.
2.careful. do research before flashing. xperia devices is not as easy as samsung or xiaomi. 1 mistake can be fatal. if lucky it only bootloop. but if unluck, from software/feature glitch, locked(sim/ubl) or just refuse to detected(A.k.a permanent dead)
i been use xperia devices since z4 era. and trust me it more scare to change official rom on locked devices than swap custom rom or install mod like magisk, etc on unlocked devices even manually modified system file are better than change to global on locked devices,
