Question Accidentally deleted all data. How to recover? - Redmi Note 11 (spes/spesn)

Hello all,
My brother accidentally pressed the "wipe all data" button in the recovery menu on his Xiaomi Redmi 11 NFC. Now all his photos are gone and I want to try to recover them. We are trying to root the device because the recovery apps require this. But unfortunately we have to wait 360 hours for the bootloader to be unlocked by Xiaomi. Is there a way to bypass this process on Snapdragon processors? Or do we have other ways to get the data onto the internal storage?
Thank you very much in advance.

You have to wait, sorry. There have been tricks in earlier years, but they are all fixed by Xiaomi afaik.

Thank you for your reply.
So there are no other possibilities to recover these files? I've already tried to use rescue software on pc but you can't mount it as a device. Rescue software didn't recognize it.

thats another, far more complex question... quick google search:

Phone blocked

Hi Guys,
I think I have no lucky these days...
I was testing a new ROM and when a returned the backup with TWRP android asked me a patteren for unlock.
The patter I usauly use dont work.
I found a help that say to erase some files in /data/system but it doenst work...
I had a idea to block the cell with my google account and set a new PIN for unnlock... It doenst work
Now I have the cell blocked by google and its impossible to access the internal memory with TWRP...
I need help... I dont know what to do...
Please !!!!
Sounds like your only way back is to format/delete all your data and start from scratch. You can use fastboot to do this.
I think this is the way... but I never did this before...
Do you know a step by step to do this !?
If I understand rightly you have a Google locked phone. I have not tried this on the OP3T but if you are able to reach the boot up screen where Google asks you for the password/pattern lock, you can try inserting an OTG drive of any capacity into your device. The phone will ask for changing storage. After clicking 'OK' you will be taken to the storage section. Go to 'Apps' and from there to 'Setting'. If you are able to reach this far, do a complete reset from that 'Settings' section and you would be able to recover your phone. I repeat, I have not tried this on the OP3T but have successfully tried this on some other phones. Best of luck and hope you get back your toy.
Let me also add that you won't be able to recover a Google blocked phone by factory resetting from recovery. The only way to do this is to reset it from the settings section of the OS itself after you have booted up.

If you are on Marshmallow or Nougat and if you had TWRP installed, you could copy DCIM folder from Internal memory to PC, via TWRP
But to install TWRP, you need to prepare some steps from the System (to obtain Bootloader code, to Unlock OEM) - without the PIN you cannot
With DC Phoenix tool and 15 EU credits, you could reset the phone and start using it again, but it will wipe Internal memory, with the DCIM folder and photos
https://www.dc-unlocker.com/DC-Phoenix-flash-repair-tutorial
Don't know if Ministry of Solutions (maybe little cheaper than DC Phoenix) could break over (Bypass FRP ?), without resetting the phone and wiping Internal memory

- at least, you can ask them in advance, for free

[HELP] Best Tutorial/Way to Root OnePlus 3T 9.0.5

I foolishly upgraded to 9.0.5 with the OEM method instead of flashing as in times past. Sure enough it gave me some nonsense that my phone was corrupt and that a factory reset was necessary. Sadly lots of valuable pictures were on my phone and I'm scrambling to root my phone again to try DiskDigger since that appears to be the best app from searches.
Unfortunately the tutorial I used in the past doesn't seem to work or apply very well now. ADB Fastboot doesn't seem to recognize my device for some reason. Any tips would be appreciated.
According to https://forum.xda-developers.com/htc-10/how-to/thread-t3333345 requests for help should go to the help forum. Requests for help must not go to the how-to forum. You should ask the moderators to move this thread to the correct forum.

First of all: your data is lost - unrevertable. Diskdigger is for restoring accidentally deleted media files. If you format and reencrypt the data partition all data is lost from the partition. The only way to restore your data is a backup of media files (not in nandroids).
What do you mean by "ADB Fastboot"? For adb you need to enable adb in dev opts, for fastboot you need to boot in fastboot mode (aka bootloader mode: hold "vol up" and "power" to power on). These two are different animals.
If the devices doesn't show up in fastboot mode, you need to debug the pc host first. A starting point for win would be the device manager and the event log. If the drivers are installed correctly, you need to walk through the physical conmection: ports, cable, dirt in the usb-c jack etc.

Guess I'm SOL with my pics of my son. It's ok. I only have myself to blame. I started enabling backups to Google Photos. Something I was never a fan of. Thanks though. I'll still be interested in rooting my 3T with 9.0.5 since this phone still has plenty of life and takes great pics.

I'm completely with you on g's backup service! Nowadays you get a high quality usb-c 128Gb stick for around 25 € or $, for 40 bucks a 256 Gb one (i.e. sandisk Ultra Dual USB-Stick, Typ-C (SDDDC2-016G-G46)). I strongly recommend getting one for every user of a non-sdcard device - it saves my arse more then once! nandroids, titanium backups, media, etc all go there.
Hope someone threw some light on this to give some tips to root OP 3T running 9.0.5 !

I don't know, what you mean by "I too struck in same state". The issue with not being able to flash a custom recovery ("DATA TRANSFER Failure") is completely different from not being able to connect to the device in fastboot mode at all ("Fastboot doesn't seem to recognize my device") and loosing the content of userdata if blindly updating the fw.
Hijacking a thread with a completely different issue is considered bad manners.

If you hijack a thtead with a completely different issue, the probability is high, that you don't get answered. Impatiently insisting on getting an answer in the hijacked thread doesn't increase the probability of getting an answer... Showing bad manners twice, doesn't make good manners.

You aren't stuck with rooting - you're stuck trying to flash in fastboot. While rooting may depend on being able to flash in fastboot, you're not actually having issues with acquiring root yet.
And, as I mentioned before, don't post the same question in different threads.

Question Mi 11 Android 12 Hard Brick (12.5.1.0.SKBMIXM)

Hello,
I tried to update to Android 12 to see the new functionalities, I've done it quite some times so I knew what I was doing. But actually... I came accross a big problem.
After that I wanted to go back to the Android 11 version, and so I launched Twrp again, but it didn't boot the same way it usually does. No asking for password, no changing language available, and no data visible on phone (where you choose to install magisk for example)
And so I searched a way to reboot the phone seeing I wasn't able to do anything... but the fun comes after. In that new version, the power button doesn't reboot/stop the phone anymore, it's done with that accessibility pop-up you got on the menu. So, I was stuck inside Twrp.
I fount a reboot section, and I tapped on it, but it seems it wasn't the actual reboot..
Now I'm stuck with a black screen, phone doesn't start, no fastboot, no recovery mode available whatsoever when I press the combination of Volume +/- and power button. Pressing the three for a minute didn't help either. I tried everything.
My phone is apparently stuck in EDL mode, beeing recognized as COM3 on my computer.
I tried flashing it with XiaomiFlash, with the Android 11 12.5.9.0 SKBMIXM version but either it says the phone doesn't answer, or "write time out" or something.
My photos are saved on google and my app are mostly games that are linked with google account so I pretty much doesn't care about factory resetting I just want the access back now.
Is there a free solution I can do by myself ? (not going to give the access to some random telegram guys I don't know, I have read some messages)
As it's detected by the PC there is something that might be done, but that's not in the territory of things that I know sadly..
If someone can help, that would be immensely appreciated.

Global A12 is the bricked rom of the year.... There praticaly any problem with the chinese A12.
Bad news, you will paid approximatively 25/30 $ for unbrick your device, it's the only possibility, because only a certified xiaomi account can unlock EDL on your Mi account.
Good news, if you want try A12, Xiaomi.eu A12 is out, MiuiMix also... And it's really more safe.
I PM you a link for a Unbrick service
So something similar happens to me, if that's what you are referring too, TWRP gets stuck on a12 it won't respond when TWRP is injected and you want to go to recovery since it won't decrypt you will see that it shows 0 on internal memory and With the touch screen not responding, so you have to keep the power button press for awhile for it to reboot, TWRP will work but only when you boot to it from fastboot. That's how I been able to flash CN beta a12, Xiaomi EU a12, and stock Global a11(not beta version) I went back and forth yesterday from Xiaomi EU Stable, to CN beta to Xiaomi eu beta and back to Xiaomi eu Stable.
Yeah it's what happened to me, but I tried pressing the power button for a long time (1 minute or so) and nothing. Did you do it longer ?
My phone isn't actually detected by ADB or Fastboot, only EDL (COM3)
Idk if that's any recoverable..

Nothing, impossible if you don't have a certified account and only people working for Xiaomi have this account

Good to know, if I need those service will totally let you know thanks !
There is no solution except through EDL mode, through a person who has access authorization.
Unfortunately, I also went through this. The problem is that the phone is repaired by connecting the platform to your computer through a "vewever" program.
After this procedure I was hacked through my AMAZON account. I assume my passwords and passwords were stolen.
That's why it uses a computer that doesn't store data, especially the browser.

("Solved") Ideas on recovering files from bricked locked cepheus global after OTA update to stock 12.5?

Hi, guys, I have problem with my phone:
MI 9 cepheus global
Locked bootloader
No xiaomi account ever connected to the phone
In a boot loop after OTA update from stock 12.0.5 to stock 12.5.1
adb sideload update failes every time
I know that I can flash the phone via EDL or wipe the data and adb sideload the update. But I would like to save my data and my pictures that somehow did not sync with the google account for a year.
(History: I bought two phones of the same type. The screen of the aforementioned phone had a slightly broken screen that I paid to be replaced by Xiaomi and it was also reflashed by them. When it came back everything was wiped and while setting it I must have forgotten to click sync pics. The Xiaomi support is sadly not helpful at all and keeps asking the same questions and spinning me in a circle. They also did not agree that it is their fault although it only happened to the phone they serviced and apparently you have to have at least 10GB of free storage to update otherwise the phone gets bricked easily. Sadly I lost a lot of time, hopes and effort in describing the problem but they answer with standard messages, refusing to help on unlocking the bootloader or giving EDL account. Their only offer was sending it to a service center for paid mainboard replacement.)
So I am on my own here and after reading a lot and came to the following ideas:
EDL flash but commenting the userdata lines in partition.xml and rawprogram0.xml so they will not be overridden. Will it work? Do I need to comment other lines?
Transfer the IMEI to my second phone and register it in Xiaomi. This way I can hopefully unlock the bootloader on the bricked phone because Xiaomi will think with it is connected to the account. The risk is to break my working phone.
Man in the middle intercept (with Fiddler) my working phone and replace the REST request with the IMEI of the bricked phone. But I need to root the working phone in order to install new trusted root CA.
Complete backup through EDL with Hydra for example? -> Flash with EDL -> register the phone -> unlock bootloader -> restore the backup –> use shell or twrp to access the files.
Flash over EDL a script that will delete all files in the download folder. I know it is possible over fastboot but I do not know about EDL.
What should I try first and what would probably work best? I would appreciate any help, experience or tools on the above ideas. Is there more to try out? Will the second phone help somehow?
OT: Thanks to all the forum members for posting their knowledge. You saved me a lot of time during the decades!
While trying 5. I firstly wrote "fastboot oem lock" and "fastboot oem unlock". My phone started counting progress and booted but all the data was gone. I have a working phone but no data and I don't know what happened. I am closing the thread because I cannot proceed recovering the data.
